I've been gaming this girl for about a month now. I decided to take her out on a first date and things went fairly well. Took her out to BWW and while we were enjoying some wings, she hits me with "I have daddy issues. Every time I like a guy, I tend to subconsciously lose feelings for them because I am too scared that they will leave me like my dad did". I responded with "thanks for letting me know" and steered the conversation to another subject.
For my own curiosity, I want to understand what exactly this is. Is this a shit test? How am I supposed to react? Is a girl with daddy issues desirable?
Would love to know.

This is not a normal conversational topic to drop at a restaurant, she's damaged as fuck just based on that alone.
It's probably more of a fucked up comfort test than a shit test. Her mind is probably always stuck on thinking about how her dad abandoned her and just simply being on a date with you is enough to trigger it for her.
You reacted just fine, no reason to engage in that topic with her, since you're not her therapist. Her orbiters can be more engaged in it than that so you handled it well.
Fuck no, at least she told you upfront that she's a bullet to be dodged. Plate her at the most, just know she's gonna break at some point and if you dump her instead of her dumping you there are going to be fireworks

It really depends on how deep her daddy issues have damaged her mental integrity. You don't need to overreact but be on the watch for signs of mental illness.
Bear in mind that some of these girls might be too dangerous to keep around even as plates.
