Hi, I'm looking for advice, I'll do my best to keep it short.
I am a 2nd year student studying Computer Science in the best program for it in Canada. My university is not allowing anyone who is unv4xd to enroll in courses. I am currently starting an internship (from which I may get booted because of this), but assuming the restrictions stay in place I will have to make a choice.
Chose not to get it as a matter of principle, I dislike the fact that someone can force me to do something or lose my right to participate in society but at the same time I think I would be stupid to throw away this golden opportunity I have in this program in which the average graduate makes high 6 figures.
I also want to become independent from parents, however I need to make some money first and dropping out would prolong my dependence. Thoughts?

If I got in a position where I would lose my job, I would definitely bribe a tech to let me inject myself and look the other way. $1000 bucks cash is a paltry sum compared to no paycheck. I would never admit to any falsification. I would just say that I have a fear of other people putting needles in me, and I worked for years as med tech so I can do it myself, etc. I'd hide a container in my armpit to hold the liquid. Once they took the money, I'd just say "Dont fucking look at me" over and over like Dennis Hopper in Blue Velvet. If they refused, I'd leave and book a new appointment elsewhere.
If my kid could not do college without the vax, I would help him do the same. I could fake the certificate pretty easily, but you need the database entries in most places.
Hanscheezburger 4y ago
Can you fake the cert? Pay a nurse to stick the needle outside your arm? Have someone disguise and take the jab for you?
Vermillion-Rx Admin 4y ago
Does your university ask for proof? Mine just had us fill out a multiple choice question of our vax status and I chose vaccinated because they weren't asking for proof
chickengod 4y ago
The Canadian government is cracking down hard on things like this. Don't lie about it. Really unfortunate OP lives in Canada and is in this situation
Vermillion-Rx Admin 4y ago
Oh right, my bad @kv2_0833 I forgot that Canada was practically a dictatorship on COVID compared to the USA (where I am).
Probably best you don't lie in such a scenario
kv2_0833 4y ago
I haven't but that's why I'm in the situation I am in rn: aka take it or be forced to postpone studies & possibly drop out later. I'm sure I'd get by fine on my own but I could make a lot more money much easier if I were to stay in the program
Vermillion-Rx Admin 4y ago
Any possibility of taking the program online? Or would that look bad on paper to your career fields?
kv2_0833 4y ago
Have been currently but this semester (I have internship rn but will be me soon), they have tried to force in-person and booting unv4xd people. Omicron forcing them back online temporarily but the situation hasn't changed according to my friends.
chickengod 4y ago
Do they have religious or conscious exemptions?
kv2_0833 4y ago
Yes but everyone I know has had them declined
Bulba 4y ago
In your situation I would just get the jab. It won't harm you, this vaccine is a cash grab from big pharma but it is mostly harmless to your health.
If you are fed up with this kind of bullshit just consider moving out of Canada asap. You are in one of the most soycucked countries in the planet, if not the most. Almost anywhere else in the world will give you more respect as a man.
pfeilmacher 4y ago
"It won't harm you."
You are full of shit. lol
Bulba 4y ago
I was expecting this kind of reaction and the downvotes.
Obviously it's not harmless and yes it's being pushed by big pharma but the paranoid conspiracy theories that are so popular in this forum are not really something I believe in. It's not changing your DNA into fucking Venom and Carnage.
You have certainly taken worse drugs in your life than this vaccine.
pfeilmacher 4y ago
It's "not harmless and yes it's being pushed by big pharma"......but legitimate skepticism is a conspiracy? Not sure how you can call legitimate scientific inquiry "conspiracy".
It DOES alter one's DNA (no idea how dangerous that is, but I like my DNA just the way it is) and spike proteins in the body are very toxic and can wreak all sorts of havoc on humans.
I have taken plenty of drugs in my life, you are correct. All because I wanted to, and all of them made me feel good. But I certainly won't be taking an inadequately tested "vaccine" that I don't need.
And you are certainly not red pill if you are encouraging compliance because it's the path of least resistance.
Bulba 4y ago
That's all very easy to say when you're not losing an opportunity to make high 6 figures because you refuse to take a fucking vaccine.
You know what else is not red pill ? Living in your parents' basement.
pfeilmacher 4y ago
How much is your health worth?
OP is going to have a degree in CS....a six figure job is almost guaranteed for him. There's no reason for him to be a little bitch and take meds he doesn't need, and that will quite likely harm him down the road.
STAYShredded 4y ago
Dude don’t fuck ur life up over a statement, I’ve had friends of mine do the exact same thing you propose, in 10 years they will regret
kv2_0833 4y ago
I mean I figure they'll be fine if they haven't experienced anything in the immediate days after. But if multiple boosters become the norm it could be worrying
pfeilmacher 4y ago
You have not been paying attention if you think boosters every few months aren't on the books already.
Compliance is why we're in this mess. Don't ever recommend that a full grow man comply with immoral and unethical mandates.
coolsocks00 1 4y ago
I agree with you, it's a bad situation. But in spite of its flaws the vaccine is low risk and it protects you and others for a while. Your education is important. Get a dose or two but maintain your stance on it.
pfeilmacher 4y ago
It's absolutely NOT low risk. In fact, we don't know the risks yet, because it hasn't been properly tested. Not to mention, it doesn't protect you against jack shit. If it did, "breakthrough" infections wouldn't be the norm now.
Hanscheezburger 4y ago
Not "low risk" but "unknown long term effects". All we have regarding that is speculation.
OP will have to make his own choice. Some kids did end up with myocarditis and that is for life, because cardiac tissues don't heal. You could be one of them, or not. Maybe it'll turn up in 10 years, maybe less.
coolsocks00 1 4y ago
Afaik there is no indication that it has any long term side effects for those who dont have complications within a couple of days. The vaccine spurs a reaction in your immune system to produce antibodies and is gone within a few days. The antibodies stay for a certain length of time.
The hysteria on both sides of this issue is just ridiculous. The risks for a healthy person from both the vaccine and covid is comparable to getting in your car and driving on any given day. That should tell you that it's not such a fucking big deal. We humans are taking risks all the fucking time without whining about it like anxiety ridden basement dwellers, but that's how everyone is acting in this case.
The main issue is that hospitals cant deal with all the sick people caused by this disease at once. So something is required to put some breaks on it. Right now, for better or worse, that is this shitty vaccine. I'm not saying it's a good solution, it's just the only one provided by the people who need to be held accountable.
Hanscheezburger 4y ago
You can't confidently say it has no long term effects just because they haven't shown up yet.
If you look into Agent Orange, produced by Monsanto to use in the Vietnam war, you will see that it was thought to be safe to humans, in that you don't die if exposed to it. While in reality, children and grandchildren of American and Vietnamese soldiers were born with deformities due to it.
I agree it's a risk/benefit comparison but the risk from Covid is not the same with everyone, it depends on age, health issues, sex and a lot of other factors. For young, healthy people, risk from Covid is very low. And the long term risk from vaccine is like I said, unknown.
I told my parents to get the vaccine because of their age and health but I strongly oppose any kind of mandate. I would advise anyone young and healthy to wait for more data to come out (Japan recently put warning of myocarditis on Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, J&J was halted due to blood clots...)
Intrepid_Place53900 1 4y ago
Better question: why would we believe any info on harmful effects of the jab, which said info is controlled by same people pushing it on people who statistically have no need to get it? Why are they pushing it? Why are they lying about masks (they are not effective, never were).
Why are they pushing it? Money control fear small control group in future (not jabbed)? hmmm
coolsocks00 1 4y ago
The point is that nothing indicates that there are long term side effects, outside of people who have early complications like myocarditis. Being afraid of risk when it's so negligible is like not being able to walk out your door in fear of being stabbed by a stranger. It's completely illogical.
Pretty ridiculous comparison, im sure you agree. The military was fully aware it was dangerous to people and used it as a multi purpose weapon in warfare.
Pretty much agree with this and the rest.
Hanscheezburger 4y ago
that's why when I weigh the benefit/ risk factors, I take into account things like age and health status too. My parents are old and have health issues, I told them to get the vaccine, all the doses available. For someone who's risk of dying or having serious complications from Covid is low, I would argue against it.
Boys more at risk from Pfizer jab side-effect than Covid, suggests study https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/sep/10/boys-more-at-risk-from-pfizer-jab-side-effect-than-covid-suggests-study
Hard to say I agree or not since there's literally no evidence. From what's available, it was meant to kill vegetation quickly since that's where the NVA were hiding. US soldiers were affected by this too, they won their law suits and got settlements, not the Vietnamese though.
There are other examples like a very popular herbicide called glyphosate, which has been used for decades and there are new studies suggesting they cause epigenetic changes. The point is something can show little risk in the short term but turns out to be carcinogenic or have other unwanted effects in the future. Mandating a product like this while giving the producers zero liability is a VERY bad deal.
pfeilmacher 4y ago
Don't take it. It's experimental and potentially very dangerous. Big Pharma doesn't give a shit about you. They are criminal organizations.
Watch the Joe Rogan/Robert Malone podcast (3 hours) and tell me you still want to take it.
mattyanon Admin 4y ago
There are rules we all follow for the good of society. You participate in most of these already. Eg "not shooting people"...... that's a restriction on your freedom right there, but it's enforced because it's better for everyone.
What gives you the right to go round carrying Covid and infecting other people?
kv2_0833 4y ago
I've isolated when I've had the rona, and in Canada our cases have 20x in the last few weeks thanks to the variant even though most people have taken it. So it doesn't really prevent you from infecting others, atleast this new variant
Hanscheezburger 4y ago
Vaccines don't stop that. In fact I have not seen evidence or data that support they lower spread at all (CDC said viral loads are similar between vaxxed and unvaxxed). The consensus is that they are supposed to give you more resistance when you are infected and lower your chance of dying, that's it.
You need a vax passport to travel, unvaxxed can't go anywhere, so who's spreading these new variants?
It's a slippery slope that has the potential to create a lot of dangerous abuses of power in the future

Never worn a mask, not getting any experimental medical injections. Same with family of course. We're all fine, I think we had covid once (don't even care enough to get tested). It's like a mild flu. /shrug Other than that we've lived normally past two years, hugging and visiting with people all through the "pandemic".
I simply do not buy the purported numbers of "covid deaths". Like suddenly no one dies of the flu even though it typically kills 50,000 a year.
I know a doctor in private practice ~30 years, he actually treats the virus with safe drugs that work, and he has a ton of clients and never lost one to covid. He's done literally weeks of independent research, and was trained as one of the first dispensers of the vaccine in my state before realizing it was a dangerous drug.
Finally, I don't trust the collusion of governmental organizations and pharma. Not the first time this has happened btw. Back in the late 70s there was a virus scare. Literally ONE person died of exhaustion + flu, and the government ended up getting 25% of the US vaccinated because people panicked and assumed it would be a pandemic. The drug companies passed liability for their vaccine to the government, who was sued around 3,000 times for side effects.
This time it's worse because YOU are the guinea pig, you are the one being experimented on, and there is no legal recourse if something goes horribly wrong. If it's such a great vaccine someone should assume liability for it, and (like all other drugs) we should be know what is in it.
whytehorse2021 4y ago
How do you get into a top college and not understand enough science to make such a basic health decision? I can't believe people are so stupid that they think mRNA will alter their DNA. It's almost as dumb as believing vaccines cause autism. Hey did you hear the moon mission was fake and the moon is really made out of cheese?
kv2_0833 4y ago
I believe in vaccines however this particular one seems to be a failure. Rushed, no liability, censorship, Canadian military admitting they pressed propaganda. I mean even ignoring all of that, the majority of people here have gotten it, some with the booster and yet we have faced an explosion of cases (20x within weeks), and they just shut down everything again today. Lol not worried about the dna bs but the rates of myocarditis are a little worrying given that boosters are to be an expected thing
whytehorse2021 4y ago
No, I think the majority of cases are unvaccinated. The recent explosion is due to omicron infecting younger people more readily and they're just barely getting vaccinated now. There's probably people not getting boosters that are also getting infected. I'm just saying I wouldn't throw away my college career over a 5% chance you might get breakthrough covid or a 0.00213% chance you'll get a temporarily inflamed heart. Just run the numbers.
Oh and many vaccines have boosters so this is nothing new.
DastardlyCade 4y ago
What about the 99%+ covid survival rate as well as the 0.03% chance to even catch covid in the first place. Surprised that you glossed those numbers over. Soy cucks always want to live in fear over non existing threats purported by msm
whytehorse2021 4y ago
You're using old numbers. 400,000 new cases every day(in the US) means you're almost guaranteed to be exposed to it depending on your exposure to other people. I have kids so I'm exposed to every kid in their school. I get every cold and flu that comes around each season.
You want to hear the funny thing? The #1 thing that predicts whether you get severe covid or not is exercise. So yeah I got my vaccines and boosters and work out 3x/wk plus walk 4 miles/day. I highly doubt covid would affect me much but I'm not turning down a free vaccine. I actually want every vaccine I can possibly get. It's just a free immune system boost.
DastardlyCade 4y ago
Lol I’m not turning down a free vaccine
kv2_0833 4y ago
Actually in Canada, most cases are double vaxxed and it's proportional to the percentage of vaxxed/unvaxxed. I guess I might get it for the sake of school but I actually caught Omicron a few days back, it sucked for a day but I pretty much feel normal again after sleeping it off. I can definitely see the need to vaccinate the risk groups but I can't help but wonder what the point is of pressing it this hard if most people are getting it anyway and don't have a problem with it.
You did mention you're in the US so I guess you haven't experienced the government overreach we have in Canada. Tbh it's pretty brutal here.
whytehorse2021 4y ago
Yeah I don't agree with mandates and I think healthcare providers should be able to prioritize vaccinated patients over unvaccinated unless they can't get vaccinated. We have mask mandates which pisses me off since I'm fully vaccinated. Lots of us just don't wear masks unless some business insists.
DastardlyCade 4y ago
How did you know it was omicron and not any other variant or the influenza or even the common cold.
