I’ve been doing pretty good for myself, picked up some new business, not getting fat, approaching women.
I’m finding that with it getting darker outside earlier, I’m having thoughts about smoking again, or really doing any of my old vices. This happens on my off days. After the end of this month I’ll be out of work until February/March (seasonal job).
I don’t have any friends, not in college rn so don’t know how to attack that. I’m bored watching rp stuff on yt, playing my guitar, trying new food spots downtown, the occasional hookup. Figure I need to go out and do something new, but not sure where to go.

Are you sure it's "Daylight savings" that you're thinking of? Remember that whatever timezone daylight savings time says you will get the exact same amount of sunlight. The only thing that changes is what time everyone agrees it is.

I remember when I was younger, I would actually start crying whenever it got dark outside during the winter because it made the world feel depressing and lonely. This is why I love the summer and spring because there's more sunlight. You may have seasonal depression because your lacking the vitamins that the sun gives off during this time of year which can severely affect our moods. A lot of countries with the most depressed people are countries that rain a lot and get little to no sunlight. One thing that helps me is waking up earlier and doing stuff earlier that way you can be outside when it's bright for longer. I'd look into community college if I were you because you can take classes and not get raped by tuition. If you find a major you like, you can transfer those credits to an accepting university and save a boat-load of money getting your degree.

Winter blues get to everyone. Job at a ski resort is a good winter gig, that's location dependent though. Indoor active hobbies like leatherwork, complicated LEGO, working out, study nutrition and food, learn lifelong skills like mending clothes or bushcraft and survival skills. I'm interested to hear other perspectives as well
