It sounds like you're in good shape. Think of it this way: expressions of interest are cool, but neediness makes pussies cracker-dry.
When people are warning you not to contact girls too much it is because most guys want the validation of a girl liking and sexually validating them more than they want the pussy its attached to. I would withdraw for a bit and leave the ball in her court, unless ft is already set up. It's not unusual for a 16 year old to have to ask about going somewhere, especially a date
She's either just a dork that doesn't really know what to say, or she's using an operant conditioning push-pull technique to get you to chase her. She wants you to chase her because its validating, even though she'll ultimately find you less arousing if you chase too aggressively. Never seem optionless. I don't know what you do with captionless snaps, but there's always something clever you can say without seeming needy if it feels like a dialogue should continue. If she sends you some pick of her toes, her mom, or her cat, you can always make a slightly clever sexually-framed response (unless you think she's skittish and it will scare her off). Also you should find out if her parents check her phone before being too racy, because if they do, they will for sure before a date.

I wrote back, "no problem. lemme know if you ever wanna hang out again. I do have to know though. Are you still going to hoco with me? I'm gonna line up a date so let me know asap." she said, something like i'm not ready for a serious relationship rn. I half swiped on it so it still says delivered for her.
