This chick added me on facebook months ago, she started working at the place I used to work at and I guess heard about me and was into it.

but I showed my friends tonight when I went out and they all said my messages were funny but I went for the number too early and I should keep chatting to her. I think this is bs, anyone else have another pov?

I come from the “texting is for logistics” school of thought. Don’t let a girl string you along with too many texts. If she isn’t willing to quickly give you a number and arrange a time to get together with her, she isn’t that in to you.
The only time it was worth it for me to keep things text only was when the girl lived in another town but is sometimes in town visiting relatives. Even here, I had her phone number and when she texted that she was in town, we got together that night.

Exactly, historically whenever I've backed down to girls demands like this it's gotten me nowhere.
And every time I've banged a tinderella they gave me very little resistance in arranging the date or getting their number.
If she wants to fuck, she'll hit me up on facebook when she realises I'm not replying. If she doesn't, then she was never into me anyway.

Why ask for her number? You don't need it.
Just arrange to meet as soon as possible. If she won't meet up, she is wasting your time and you can move on to the next one.
If she does agree to meet, give her your number in case something comes up. 90% of the time she will give you hers.

You're right, it's not needed, but if she won't give me her number, she won't met up with me. Getting her number is more personal than messaging on tinder.
This is how I usually run my tinder game, get her number, a few messages for comfort/banter (between 5-10 depending on the conversation) then go for the meetup. Usually works if the girl is compliant, which this girl wasn't.
But maybe it was a shit test, and she has me on Facebook anyway if it was and she realises I won't reply.
