Hey frens I made a terrible mistake. I got the number of a girl who in hindsight has zero interest in me at all and probably just gave it to me to be non-confrontational. Should I even bother following up with a hang-out proposition or should I just forget about it altogether?

You can do whatever you want with it. Do you really want to hang out with a girl who has no interest in you? Probably not, but you can just follow up to see what happens. Either way keep it up and get more numbers. I suggest focusing on getting dates instead of just numbers. Try setting up an instant date there and then, or give a specific time and place. If you get the yes, grab her number/snap or whatever. This means you dont waste time hitting up numbers from chicks who DGAF about you.

next time ask for instagram or something like that. you'll get a follower. if she's pretty enough and interact with you it would help with preselection. you can also raise her interest through what you post

There's no info provided to help us know if she's interested or not, but I defer to you on this matter. As I see it, you've got nothing to lose by giving her a ring next week to set a date. In the meantime, keep engaging women. You'll experience more rejection than success and it's best to get used to it sooner than later.
