Obviously money, but I'm at an age where it's nearly impossible to get to 6 figures a year (I'm 19)any time soon. I'm trying to learn code and plan on going to community college this fall to make it a career in the long run.
I've been lifting since high school so now I'm visibly in shape. I've been taking care of myself these last couple of months with diet, supplements, & hygiene. Reading, TRP, & deleting social media but I feel lost as to what to do next. I don't seem to have women running to me so I'm guessing my SMV is still low
Is my self improvement missing something?

Self esteem. You nail that one down everything else becomes easy.

Lifting for your brains.

Now you see- you said I don't have women running to me.
One of the biggest things I did wrong was- I was never in rooms with very many women to begin with. Especially in coding classes, there simply won't be that many bitches with you.
They can't run to you if you're never there to begin with. So next step is probably to socialize more meaningfully and actually be the first to strike conversations (get laid or not who cares, just practice).

You can...
Learn a second language
Learn to dress, read about fashion.
Read books about investing
Get a second job and invest
Read more books and practice what you learn
As a IT nerd myself coding is great (and needed) but right now, like RIGHT now, you can create an AWS free tier account, then make an azure one, then spin up some servers, connect them, play with them, etc. Get AWS or Azure certificates, be cloud engineer and make dumb amounts of money at 22 with a degree and AWS/AZURE certs.
awaken471 7y ago
can you please elaborate on the AWS certificate? Did you take a paid or free course? Thanks!

I am also starting to learn Coding language . Can you suggest what is the best lang? also please do explain maybe private message about this?
mleko69 7y ago
Depends what you want to achieve. Python is great for software, but also it's used in robotics and machine learning. It seems like a good starting point.
hazelstein 7y ago
Very well, I was into that. Python is it. then I just need to find some beginners course that hopefully are free in the start.

BJJ. You think lifting is one of the best ways to get out of your comfort zone, improve discipline and test your work capacity? True, but pair it with BJJ and you release a whole new kind of animal–it’s truly amazing.
throwawaytrpguy 7y ago
Yeah I'd say do a real martial art though, like freestyle wrestling (if there are classes around), MMA or boxing.
TehJoshW 7y ago
Is this bait? Jiu Jitsu is one of the most handy martial arts to learn. There's no better feeling than being able to effortlessly pin someone down and giving them no other options besides calming down, or going to sleep
throwawaytrpguy 7y ago
Of course it's bait
But then again just knowing how to fist-fight properly, considering that 90% of men today don't, is a better feeling IMO

Can't wait to get BJJ back into my schedule. I have a stable work schedule but last time I tried running, lifting, BJJ I crashed and burned from my fucked up work schedule/too much at once.

Said every person in their life, especially at 19 years young.
There's so many things you can work on--discipline, time management, planning skills, the ability to control your thoughts and feelings through meditation.
Try new things. Find new hobbies to enjoy. Develop your skill within the hobbies.
Patience. You're just now starting to experience reality.

what do you mean by this
ReformSociety 7y ago
Real, adult life. Not the teen life where the majority fill their time and lives with irrelevant stuff.

Try a bunch of things out and you'll find out what your interests are. These are for YOU, what I want is going to be different than what you want. Just get started, the journey is the destination.
For me, lifting, BJJ for my physical health.
Reading books like the Intelligent Investor, the Snowball effect. Learning to become financially literate overall is a HUGE skill for me that hardly anyone learns in school. Do it now, and get started with investing your money.
Other books like the Porn Illision, Meditations, How to Win Friends and Influence People, 48 Laws of Power, Mastery, How Successful People Grow. Theory of Evolution, the Bible, etc. All the books I listed are on my table as I write this comment. Critically important for you to READ and form your own opinions through seeing the path of great men that have come before you.
Learning a new language. Duolingo is FREE. You live in the 21st Century and have access to this kind of technology without any financial cost.
Start a blog (I did this). I personally just broke $100 per month on my blog and I'm a couple years older than you.
Anything that piques your curiously that you might have interest in, go for it.

Having a healthy set sleep schedule. The reason why people "need" 3 cups of coffee to get through the day is because they get shit sleep. I guarantee you if you get a solid 9+ hours of sleep every night your mental and physical status will improve.
I go to sleep every night at around 10-10:30. That doesn't mean get into bed by 10:30, it means asleep by then so I'm in bed most nights by 9:30 or 10. I get up at 7, lift, then go to work.
People in general get such shit sleep these days. That's why people sleep in until noon on the weekends. Because they are catching up on all of their sleep debt.
futianze 7y ago
This is true, it's a major worldwide problem. I recommend the book Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker to anyone looking to gain knowledge about the science of sleep. It's worrying that as a society, we partially neglect and don't fully respect 1/3 of our lives that we are naturally programmed to shut down and go to sleep.
After reading that book, it should be a matter of national security that so many millions of people walk around sleep deprived every single day. The sheer amount of deleterious effects from a continuous lack of sleep is frightening, and IMO is the biggest problem facing society today.
If society prioritized sleep and everyone in the world got a consistent solid 8 hrs of sleep, in 10 years, we'd bring 2080 -> 2030. No doubt in my mind. Everything going on in our lives is downstream from sleep.

Financial literacy
Character building through productive hobbies
throwawayycheyeah 7y ago
Find a hobby you truly enjoy, especially if it is frustrating at times. I love working on cars but it pisses me off to no end sometimes. I've learned a lot about patience.
sebastianconcept 7y ago
Have a lifestyle that maximizes that for you (or puts you in that path)

Getting off reddit.
futianze 7y ago
Just chill the fuck out man. You're 19. You're placing validation on women seeking you out. As others have said though, you're not in a place where women are. Be patient. Go out and experiment. Fail. Lose.
Look at Lambda School for coding - much better than college.

Yes.. Yourself, your mind and how you perceive the world and your success.. TBH, your state of mind is more important than your financial situation or your looks. Lots of guys here will disagree, but that's how it is. Learn to live your life on your own conditions, your own definition of success and the values that YOU choose are important for your life and that are essential for you to feel good about yourself. This is the base for the mindset and setting your success outside of women etc, makes it easier to realize how redundant women can be..
