My 9 months FWB asked me to lend her some money (1k-500$), she wasn't too serious about it but it was a clear shit test to me. I've never disclosed my income and I won't in the future. She see some incongruencies in my way of life and I think she want to check my true worth. For example I don't drive an expensive car (because I don't give a shit), I don't have a top-class phone (again, because I don't give a shit) but I always tell her money isn't that important in life, hinting I have at least some.

My reply was just: "Do you really need it?" and then change subject. Obv I don't plan to give her a single dollar fwiw, but I guess my reply wasn't a top tier one. How would you responded and how you will do in case she ask again?
