If this was a relationship that was based on exclusivity or commitment, I'd say there was a problem. But it's not. She says she hasn't talked to him in a long time probably because 1.) She feels like it's been a long time or 2.) She WISHES it'd been a long time.
This is a FWB - either act like a friend+, or stop pretending to be a friend. No friend would get mad about something like this. Maybe they'd make a joke about you about having a poor grasp of time. Probably laugh about it. Then move the fuck on with your lives, there are better things to focus on.

You just kind of learn to live with the sad truth that they’ll never be fully loyal, and they’ll never tell you the whole truth, and that any fantasy you had about a fairytale ending is just never going to happen. And then when they inevitably lie, you just kind of roll your eyes and say , “Sure. I get it.” You learn to accept them for who and what they really are, and then have great sex with them because they love how dead inside you’ve become as a result of their selfish behavior.
