I'm going to the UK for uni this sept for the very first time. I'm going to be studying Psychology and
it's a pretty female dominated subject (at least for BSc). I joined this Psych group and they are already talking about joining feminist societies etc. Obviously, I didn't respond but I am thinking how I should behave when I get there. It's my first time studying in a Westernised country (I'm from East Asia) and I'm already shocked by the influence of feminism just by reading from the group chat.

To quote Robert Greene from the introduction to The 48 Laws of Power:
I'd go so far as to say "project a Blue Pill persona", because lack of confidence and integrity is as unattractive as being a contrarian, but tone down or pretend to be agnostic about the more controversial parts of TRP in your speech (e.g. AWALT). You can still act RP - just don't become the outspoken advocate of it in a school/professional environment.
To sum up: Act Red Pill, talk Purple Pill.

Very nicely said here, I think I should start doing this too...

good advice.
but FYI - someone is selling, "i'm redpilled" bumper stickers in the new orleans area. they're plastered all over truck bumpers around here... not too many, but one is too many.

Law of power #38
THINK AS YOU LIKE BUT BEHAVE LIKE OTHERS
If you make a show of going against the times, flaunting your unconventional ideas and unorthodox ways, people will think that you only want attention and that you look down upon them. They will find a way to punish you for making them feel inferior. It is far safer to blend in and nurture the common touch. Share your originality only with tolerant friends and those who are sure to appreciate your uniqueness.
[deleted] 7y ago
Don't fake being a blue pill. Don't compromise your beliefs in front of others; just don't overtly speak them out even if someone wants to extract it from you....the excuse they might use is that they really want to get to know you. Don't fall for that.
Unless you can coherently form arguments on the fly, like Benjamin Franklin or David Cameron, just try not to get into verbal judo.

We live in the reacting age, where reacting and displaying your emotions and virtue gives you social points, and relates a lot with feministic way of thinking.
Regardless where you go in life, in any social circumstance; define your core values, and stick to it. Find three values you wish to stay true to and embody that in your best ability. You have mostly met someone with no core value at this point in life. Don't be that person.
People, no matter how wrong or deliusional, still wants to be respected, be humane and respect them them, and let it be up to them if they wish to respect you back. You receive respect from within by having strong core values and from others who recognize it.
Should a situation escalate, make sure you know your price when it comes to investing time and emotions, and know when to let go when it's not worth your time. But never put anyone down or leave a a bad impression, which will over time leave a bad reputation.
Treat your female classmates, as classmates. Even though they dominate your class, they are still a person, and should be treated as a person and not different because woman.
This is all well on paper, but it's hard to keep up in the moment. Start small and try to be proactive in your train of thoughts, rather than reactive.

http://stemdegreelist.com/
First thing i found.
STEM Degree List
Biopsychology Behavioral Sciences Cognitive Science Cognitive Psychology and Psycholinguistics Comparative Psychology Developmental and Child Psychology Experimental Psychology Personality Psychology Physiological Psychology/Psychobiology Social Psychology Psychometrics and Quantitative Psychology Psychopharmacology Research and Experimental Psychology
And that's just the psych science ones. Plenty of places to go with the degree outside the field.
purplefidgetmidget 7y ago
Seriously, why would you study that subject? Not only is it MASSIVELY oversubscribed but you can't get a real job from it, and it will teach you nothing useful. It hovers around the 2nd most popular course across all universities so there are gonna be so many graduates.
And you're gonna spend your time writing essays non-stop with a bunch of girls.
I'd seriously reconsider.
Avskygod0 7y ago
It's a good way to get an easy second diploma tho so you can dickwave, especially potent with other, more "concrete" subjects
purplefidgetmidget 7y ago
If you're doing STEM you don't need a second diploma, you barely need a first diploma, it's just a piece of paper to get your foot in the door. Once you have a bit of experience demand is so high for most STEM subjects that they'll hire you if your employment history shows you can do the job, bits of paper or not.
[deleted] 7y ago
False- in America if you want to work in anything science related, you need a masters degree (from an American university). If you want to work in engineering or computer science- bachelors degree and certifications. In America, you need a degree in a specific field to work in that field
purplefidgetmidget 7y ago
I found that hard to believe so I looked it up, and I can see jobs that state
Literally the first job I could find on google for a software engineer. Although I would consider computer science to be science.
[deleted] 7y ago
It says equivalent exp but they almost never hire those people. Employers use software to organize job applications by scanning for keywords - if your resume doesn’t have bachelors in comp sci listed then you get placed in the “do not hire” folder, and those with a comp sci degree get dibs. I know- I’ve worked in HR before.
purplefidgetmidget 7y ago
They're in such high demand that companies will consider anyone that has experience. It's hard to get the first job without a degree though, but it's possible depending on how you get there.
Friend of mine didn't get a degree, became a cheap tester, learned how to program there and started fixing bugs himself, eventually asked them to make him a programmer or he'd leave and they agreed, he was a programmer for a while then left for another company. The other company said, we need a programmer, looked at his experience, gave him a technical test, and said yup we like you, no problem.
[deleted] 7y ago
Anecdotal - “I know a guy who could do it and therefore anyone can.” Your example is not representative of the actual situation. Sounds like your friend got lucky. I speak 2 languages and am learning how to code in C++ and I can build and troubleshoot computer and tech problems yet I can’t get a job paying more than minimum wage. Anecdotal, yet valuable information that more accurately reflects the issues that most Americans face
purplefidgetmidget 7y ago
You need some experience not just ability.
Believe me companies are so thirsty right now they'll hire almost anyone. If you're sitting on a company and the only thing blocking your product from getting out the door and securing a bunch of contracts for $100,000+ each is a couple of devs, and the market is completely dry, if a guy comes on with good experience, does alright on the technical test and seems like an OK guy, you'll be pissing money away not to hire him even if he's not great.
[deleted] 7y ago
You’re not an American are you? That’s not the case for most Americans tbh.
DonaldBaelish 7y ago
I don't want to be a douchebag but why not change to a real subject?
ghostninja33 7y ago
IMO, white knights are way worse than the feminist. Act Red Pill but do not talk about TRP.
abudun79 7y ago
Same as everywhere: STFU about red pill aka First rule of the Fight Club: Don't talk about Fight Club.
And remember: They're doing this because everyone does and they believe it's a good thing. Which does not mean that they do not respond well to masculinity. Read: Being masculine, not bragging and showing of how masculin you think you are.
Two_kids_in_a_coat 7y ago
Exactly. If you need to talk about being masculine then you’re not.
Whodatunkit 7y ago
Just stfu. Dont answer a question. Question the question. Best of luck.
Aptote 7y ago
bang them all, hottest one first
[deleted] 7y ago
Never, ever, ever in public be a TRP-er. I am the highest scoring student in feminism in a university where it is a pervasive area of study. Stick to the reasonable. Study feminism, study power. Understand, in a sense, the enemy. Keep your mouth shut, ride the reasonable and the centre, and form your own cult. Self-improve. Get buff, get high SMV, make female friends. Get ready to drown in pussy.
AlfredKinsey 7y ago
Psychology is a great major to pull pussy out of. Fuck the feminism out of them all.
GrapeCulture69 7y ago
Kind of a side note, but always save texts/communications with chicks you fuck/date and store them, encrypted, somewhere safe. Men get accused of rape a lot at college when they piss chicks off. Evidence of consenting sex/relationships that you secretly keep until you need, might save your career/life. My storage files have a folder for each girl, then a separate folder for sex videos/images and another for communications. I'm not even in college, just like protecting myself and saving dirty memories.

mushroom_overlord 7y ago
Think as you like, behave like others. If you want to operate in their groups, that is. Obviously you have to make the best of your situation if you want the degree, so pretend that you agree with them but dont want to join any feminist society because of whatever reason.
terperguy 7y ago
Why the fuck would you study some non-science femme bullshit like Psychology?
Engineering, hard sciences, or stay the fuck home. Not everyone can hack a real degree. If you can't, start your own business.
A degree in Psych is a waste of your valuable fucking time.
Fuck.
ppanthero 7y ago
Sad.
Couer_De_Lion 7y ago
reasons the right is losing the culture war 1.0
the more redpilled people in fields like Psych the better
[deleted] 7y ago
(at least for BSc). Bachelor of Psych Science is not the liberal arts psychology you are thinking of.
My advice. Just be a man and hold your ground on everything then when you've said your piece, stfu. They will go through the full hamster wheel of fortune. Hate, submissionand then respect (but you are stil an asshole)
If you back down once to them over anything, it's all over. You're fucked.
abudun79 7y ago
YEAH RIGHT! He needs to do what you tell him! This damn charly! Doesn't he know that only your opinion counts????
MrSittingBull 7y ago
With the widespread depression epidemic Psych has become one of the most profitable jobs for the least amount of work.
Industrial psychologists who are called in to alleviate stress in white-collar workers are making a killing, as a lot of these guys are called into Fortune 500s full time. It’s similar to school counseling, except with a lot more money and without the horny kids running around. Don’t make assumptions on careers you haven’t heard of.
[deleted] 7y ago
Why would a Fortune 500 company hire a feminzi "scientist" to help them be less stressful? That sounds like it would be counter-productive
Dabunghole 7y ago
It’s a waste if it’s just a bachelors. But if taken to a PhD or a clinical setting, it becomes STEM lol. It’s up to him to finish, and it’s a long process.
[deleted] 7y ago
Unless you wanted to join the FBI, CIA or any number of areas in the criminal justice system including the courts.
Or marketing and advertising, management, statistics and many more.
There's some serious money to be made because it's full of women and men are a rare commodity in the field.
AsianWater 7y ago
Why do you have so much hate on the subject? I'm going to do Clinical Psychology and it's what I am interested in. As of now the plan is to continue my studies up to PhD and specialise. If you can't give valuable insight just save your breath.
purplefidgetmidget 7y ago
Because this is TRP, where people get called out on their bullshit. Their bullshit being anything that doesn't adhere to the core values of TRP, becoming a man with a mission who will change the world.
You're doing a non-stem girl subject, in a massively oversubscribed subject that has almost no prospects except teaching.
You've come to TRP to tell us this, so obviously you're gonna get some hate. You might be better off in AskFeminists.
Every girl and their dog is training to get into some form of counselling, and they're all studying psychology. It sounds like you're just an academic that wants to study forever. You're in for a nasty shock when you have no money and prospects outside of poorly paid intern-style gigs.
Amilargeyet 7y ago
ignore him, this sub is not a great source of information, i doubt many successful men with useful knowledge to impart typically browse r/asktrp on new. what's left is bunch of people wasting time who typically rage at nothing and treat TRP like a cult, taking every principle to the extreme
I go to a liberal university albeit not in a female-dominated major. My advice in classes and groupwork is to keep RP opinions to yourself and avoid any conflict over feminist issues. Don't question anything, don't call bullshit on anyone. You don't want to piss anyone off including a professor. I'm not suggesting you participate in or support the groupthink but just avoid it bringing up any counter-opinions to their beleifs, there's no reason or benefit in asserting yourself as an alpha during classes.
As long as you do that, you may get annoyed while hearing women ( and men ) babble on about some bullshit but ultimately you should be fine.
Flintblood 7y ago
^This^ You’re better off if you fly under the radar. I’ve never seen anything good come from trying to go Braveheart in class solo.
Once you’re in a PhD program you can begin individual differences research that looks at sex/gender differences and discuss issues arising from that. When you’re established in a job, you can talk from the perspective of your own research more freely, but it’s still not a good idea to publicly preach TRP.

Psychology is not stem, do what you want op, but psychs not stem
[deleted] 7y ago
its a bachelor of psych science you dumb fuck not liberal arts. It's STEM.
purplefidgetmidget 7y ago
Social Science is not considered to be STEM. The S in STEM refers to natural sciences.
[deleted] 7y ago
Says you.
purplefidgetmidget 7y ago
The problem of getting women into STEM has been solved then! Since Gender Studies and Psychology are social sciences by your definition (hint, they're not, but ok) they fall under STEM.
Hurrah! I'm sure the rest of the world agrees with you.
manwhoknowshow2feel 7y ago
No psychology is a stem you absolutely retard, now go back to studying mind reading
[deleted] 7y ago
it's a science degree.
Let me guess. Computer science or engineering for you? Pretty smart to join a massively oversaturated market where you get undercut and replaced by workers from third world countries.
Who would treat your autism and intellectual disability and talk you out of shooting up your school if it weren't for a clinical psychologist?
manwhoknowshow2feel 7y ago
Jesus christ lmao someone's real pissed off, did your dad touch you against your will again?
