I currently have 3 plates, 2 of them would hit me up to hangout and have sex, and I'd say 50/50 even on who initiates. My last plate is different, I always have to initiate. I understand that as men it is our duty to get the ball rolling, but with me hitting her up all the time I worry that I might appear needy and she'd get used to not having to invest her time.
FYI I limit to seeing my plates 1-2x a week, and I always initiate sex whenever I meet them. Sex has always been great with all 3. I use text mostly for logistics, but will banter with them for a bit from time to time.
My plan for plate #3 is to go cold and not text her for a week or 2 and see if she will initiate contact with me.
What do you guys think? Or am I just overthinking this since I'm afraid of falling back into my BP tendency?

You are probably overthinking it; her personality just seems passive. Like some girls will not initiate no matter how much they want you.
However if it bothers you just drop contact and see if she improves. If not you have other plates.

If she is enthusiastic about your invites and often texts back pretty quick. I wouldn't withdraw time and attention. Just keep hitting her up.
Plates by definition are low investment fucks. Let's not fix what isn't broken.

Some plates will just mirror you, so if you're not initiating or waiting a while to respond, they'll do the same thinking that's what you want. I wouldn't take it as anything unless you have more supportive evidence. One of my best plates for a while didn't text me to set up plans often but would be over in a drop of hat when I did.
