I've read a lot about a woman's hamster and how it "rationalizes". My question for you is whether these rationalizations consequently become her new reality/truth? When I woman branch swings, because she never truly loved him, he didn't give her orgasms, or whatever, do those rationalizations permanently overwrite the past? Or is she somehow able to store both "truths" (real truth vs rationalized truth) in her mind?

To a degree she will actually believe it. It operates like a Lego set, honestly. It may have a semblance of the shape of actuality but she can, and will, add or remove individual pieces to suit her current narrative.

Thanks for the reply. OK, so she (hamster) can add/remove "truth", but do you think she could at some later time, remove all of the extra pieces until she has the actual truth in her mind again, or is it unrecoverable?

Most operate like a PR machine, so there will always be spin on it.
Take girl cheats on boy, boy dumps her. The reality is that she was sexually attracted to the guy she cheated on the boyfriend with, but he wouldn't commit, and when the boyfriend got wind of it he dumped her.
Her version now might be "He pushed me away, I had to get what I needed from someone else!"
Her version in a few years might be "I was confused and made some bad choices."
Neither of those is "I cheated on my boyfriend with a guy I thought was hotter, and got dumped."

Why does it matter? It doesn't. Who cares? I do. If no one cared, no one would be here.
