I have no problem getting girls, a great example was at a music festival in our hotel, all of the 'boys' were on tinder getting matches, and yet I'm the one who ended up with another girl in the hotel we were staying at.
I just don't see the point of putting myself up on there, you have to actively 'swipe' to get matches, and most matches don't usually lead anywhere, I'd much rather chat up a girl in person, where I have the advantage of game and body language.
Perhaps when I move to a larger city and am older I'll get on it, but for now I just don't see it as an effective use of my time.

For me it's absolutely worth it. If I go on vacation I'll pay for Tinder passport and change the location to where I'm headed a day before I leave. I'll spend several hours maybe watching a movie and swipe right until I swipe the entire city. Then all I have to do is wait as matches begin to pop up. I'll have 50-100 chicks to choose from. I'll choose a block of them to message then seal the deal on one and repeat the next night.
This has worked very well for me. It's a numbers game and depends entirely on great pictures, fitness and facial aesthetics, being smooth/bold, and abundance mentality (hints swiping the whole city) so decide if it's worth the effort. I don't like going out. Tinder for me is a bit like ordering pizza but more complicated. When I get a girl from Tinder she comes right over and within an hour we fuck, sometimes I greet her then we start to take our clothes off. This to me is such a cool feeling that Tinder is by far my favorite method of getting laid.
Don't forget to go out on occasion though. Keep socializing in person otherwise your Tinder messages will come off as cold, recycled, and uninteresting. You have to remember there's a chick on the other side.
This is my method. If this seems like more work than don't worry about it. I have an efficient way of doing it, otherwise I probably wouldn't bother.

It never hurts to have an account active though then pull it up for a few minutes if your date bails or whatever. If you stay in the same area for a long time you'll start to accumulate likes. Tinder usually pushes the girls who swiped you to the front so it doesn't take long to get matches. This is the only scenario where I'd be picky. I usually put a little more effort in to get laid locally since I have less matches to work with and don't want to burn through the whole city if I'm here to stay.

That's another thing too, I remember I went on 'underage' tinder and I burnt through everyone in about 3 hours, getting undesirable matches.

It can never hurt. I use it a lot when traveling but even when I am home, I got a few plates from it. I was trying to sleep with varying ethnicities and so far I landed an asian, black, and indian girl. It's good if you can take good pictures and be attractive, otherwise it may just hurt your ego. I wouldn't put too much into it, just try it out. I have just under 300 matches and I live in a quite small city
