OK so just a simple question.
I met a girl really briefly, basically just numbers very little conversation. Shes young, 17, and so am I. Now she is happy to meet me but she wants to bring a friend and suggested I bring one as well. Im not sure thats something I want to do.
Should I tell her I just want to see her or should a bring an inexsperienced friend along? Is two girls and me a bad situation?

FrameWalker 11y ago
I think at 17 you might as well just do it. Get a good buddy you trust, meet up with the two girls, and do something fun for 1 hour tops. If it clicks with your girl, isolate. Workout a plan to separate with your friend.
It could be her parents not letting her go out alone.

I agree with this. if you're 24 and she wants to bring a friend, fuck that. If you're a junior in highschool, whatever.
[deleted] 11y ago
If she is 24 you just need to amplify and agree/pressure flip.
Sure you can bring a friend, I can handle both of you, you might get a little jealous ;)

If a girl is 24 years old and wants to bring a friend on a date then she is either super insecure and scared, or she doesn't think it's a date. A&A is a powerful tool, but if she doesn't think it's a date, you're going to look like an idiot, and if she's that insecure you will either scare her off, or she'll come alone and probably be a terrible date.

Follow up question: what if you ask a girl to coffee and she shows up with a friend without asking you? Some people would say it's beta to just walk away right there and leave like a little bitch, but then what would be the correct course of action?
Fortunately, this has never happened to me, but reading OP's question made me wonder about it. Not sure how I'd react.

There is a perfect [FR] about this, going to scour my history for it.

No. Do not. I repeat DO NOT let her bring her friend. This is a common test girls with throw at you. She's trying to find out if you're a friend or a lover. I had a very similar thing happen to me not to long ago. She asked if she could bring her friend, and I said "no, private party, just me and you". We ended up not going out but it saved me from being put in the friend zone.

Or bring a friend for her friend. It's seriously not that big of a deal. If it becomes a habit then yes.
StrangeStart 11y ago
how can you know this if you didnt go out? Ive heard its good just to make her more confortable she does live like 45 minutes away so maybe its her saftey.
Squeezymypenisy 11y ago
If there is a friend there you will get no action. Not even a chance because the friend will cockblock you. If its a guy then it will be even worse. Its a date bro, not a get together.
pinstrap 11y ago
Because I know that it's a test. If you don't believe me, go ahead. You came here for advice and you don't want to hear it?
Truckyouinthebutt 11y ago
Not true. I went with a girl I met out with her and her friend to a bar. You can use it to your advantage if you keep your confidence up. Her friend will ask all the hard personal questions and the girl you like will ask all the fun questions. It's a good cop bad cop strategy. If you play into to your advantage knowing what their plan is it can be an easy win. Plus you're young and so are they so they won't be as hard to keep frame
Calamash 11y ago
Err, op. You're young. I'd say go for it, at this age girls aren't that used to going out as much as like a 20 something year old nor are they as comfortable with strangers. Make sure the friends are opposite sexes though
iq8 11y ago
Or maybe shes 17 and scared you might rape her or something.
pinstrap 11y ago
Yeah because we know about all of those public coffee shop rapes that are going on these days, how could I have forgotten?

RAPE CULTURE!

DO NOT ever let a girl bring a friend. You think you can just freely escalate with the other friend there? You think she won't go to the other girl when she's feeling nervous and dominate the conversation, leaving you a friend? I've been in this situation and the girls either flake at the last possible second, or TRY to spend the night talking (because it's easier to talk with a friend because a girl is nervous) but as soon as that happens, you've relegated yourself to chilling out with 2 friends talking about something you don't care about... and the girl will pick up on this and you're done for. They don't even realize that they've set you up for failure doing this most of the time, but that's what they've done when they do this. Don't fall for it. There is 0% chance you escalate the girl and leave without her friend to your place without a shit ton of resistance. She's going to have a reason to leave with her friend, to put up more walls because there is now a witness... it's just a raw deal son. Always turn this down.

Tell her you'll need to see a photo of her friend before you agree to sleep with both of them, because, you know, standards.

Yeap

"You guys have a good time. Maybe you and I can do something another day."
Then go zero contact and pursue a woman who is interested in you as a man, not as a friend. Because that's exactly what's going on here.
RPthrowaway123 11y ago
This literally happened to me last night. Under NO CONDITION can she be allowed to bring a friend - if you let her, then you get instant beta provider "friend"/orbiter status.
Lipophobicity 11y ago
I would agree, but she wants him to bring a friend as well. He can hook his friend up with a girl, it's not an issue I'd worry about.
That being said next date needs to be alone or I'd agree with the guy above me
RPthrowaway123 11y ago
His chances of being able to kino and escalate are reduced to zero if anyone else comes along. Therefore, it is a bad idea.
Lipophobicity 11y ago
I understand, but OP made it clear him and this girl don't know each other. Her bringing a friend could very well be a safety issue, besides if she was friendzoning him she wouldn't have asked him to bring someone for her friend.
In my group of high school friends I tended to do better(mostly because I tried instead of waiting around), but always tried to get my friends laid. Maybe my perspective is off, but a double first date isn't certainly a bad sign
RPthrowaway123 11y ago
You're playing with fire, and unless the guy you bring is on board with what you're doing and knows he has to wingman for you. I just don't see any way this ends well. If she really wants to see you, she's going to come regardless. If she insists on bringing a friend she is subconsciously hedging her bet that she won't like you. And if she's doing that, your goose is cooked.
