Got a chicks number, told her we should go dancing.
I told her I will be at a bar on Monday.
Her response was "That depends if my friends are going out :)"

I should have been more thorough. So what happened was I was chatting her up at a festival ( I was working security, and she was the bartender I was taking care of), lots of flirting and she was clearly interested. So said to her lets go dancing later. Her response was
" I am a really bad dancer, but I would love to go."
I was then pulled to the side for a radio call, dealt with an issue, came back and resumed work at my post beside her.
I then pulled out my phone and went to the new contact section and handed it to her without saying anything, and she just put her name and number in there herself.
I text her later changing the plan because we both are working extremely late tonight (I am at a different site this time), and the weather was completely shit today as it was a storm outside all day. So I said to her, "I'll be at jacks monday." And thus the response she sent.
What you're saying is exactly what I'm trying. In the back of my head I'm trying to keep the right mindset, I'm able to spot out most things but draw blanks on the best way to respond sometimes. I'm still new, still learning and that is why I am here in askrp.

Quick question:
I see how "k" and radio silence will get the hamster running.
But doesn't it hurt your frame? A "k" sounds passive-aggressive or perhaps even as if you are sulking.
Shouldn't you sound as if you don't care/ have better things to do.
This is not a criticism. I want to understand it. How do you pull off "k" so it doesn't hurt frame?
Average_Black_Man 10y ago
I always recommend "okay". Just "k" sounds passive aggressive as fuck, I fucking hate when people reply to me with just K.
RedPillington 10y ago
like Average_Black_Man, i tend to go with some other dismissive affirmative, because k is something bitches say to me when they're mad.
ok, aight, sure, "k, lmk"

The dancing thing came up naturally in conversation. Live music was playing and we were both dancing and shit while working, everyone having a good time. She is very interested, it is blatantly obvious the way she was talking and acting.
I feel very comfortable with the whole encounter, It was just the text game after trying to change time/date of actually going out to dance. She seemed receptive to the idea, but threw me off with the shit test(?) of mentioning that it depends if her friends are going out.

The whole conversation has been consistently in a playful manner. She is very interested, action and words. We'll see how it pans out. Thanks for the input.

Are they cute? Oh, and bring one with a hubby's card, I think we'll be thirsty. (Preemptive defense against her thinking you're gonna pay for them.)

"k, some other time maybe"
And then just leave it.
You now know she thinks the SMV gap isn't enough to get her dancing to your tune. Disheartening, but she's allowed to assess that gap however she wants based upon the few times she has interacted with you. Don't take it personal.
Either increase that gap or slay some other pussy. You aren't going to increase that gap by harping on at her to go dancing and looking like you give a damn.

I don't think this is a shit test. Girls are just insecure and she wants some backup because she isn't sure whether or not you see it as a date.
