If you've been living under a rock the past few days, the media's thrown a huge fit over Trump's tweet of one his old WWE appearances with the CNN logo photoshopped onto the dude he's "fighting". Your opinion on that aside, the important thing to come out of that is the fact that CNN got the user to publicy apologize by threatening to reveal his identity, aka doxxing. You can read more about how CNN did that here. A lot of this advice is common sense, but to not have yourself busted like this guy (or at least make it harder):

*Only post very general, broad personal information about you. I think age, gender, and race are okay.

*Don't post details that could be tracked back to you like where you work, what town you live in, where you go to school, etc…

*When browsing a highly controversial and sensitive site like TRP, consider using a VPN.

Have a TRP only account you use for Reddit. If someone sees you post in TRP, a Seattle sub, a Latino sub and a software development sub regularly for example, they can very easily infer you're a Latino software engineer in the Seattle area, and just like that you're easily narrowed down. I'm writing this here because TRP is a very controversial sub much more susceptible to doxxing than other subs, and there's a fair chance you guys also post on other controversial subs. The chances of this ever happening, but these are general rules you should follow anyway to protect yourself.
