Lately I went hard-mode on NoFap (no peeking/edging) + increased my meditation sessions from 10 minutes to 20-30 minute sessions.
The effect so far, has been profound.
Ever since I have made this change I feel almost zero social anxiety - not even that subtle anxious feeling in my chest. Previously, I wouldn't fap but I'd still peek at videos every day and edge quite a bit, and my meditation sessions were only short, but the effects were not enough for any serious change: I still had approach anxiety and dwelled on irrational shit, ever since this change I feel no approach anxiety whatsoever and have more of an IDGAF attitude. Girls approach me more now.
I don't know why this has happened, maybe it's a placebo but I seriously doubt it. I think there's something going on here, because the confidence I am getting now isn't just ''Do the things you fear'' - it's almost as if I fear nothing (well, atleast things that scared me before, e.g. approaching a girl in the club and escalating).
Case in point, yesterday some girls rejected me harshly at the club, but I truly didn't give a fuck and just carried on throughout the night.
Maybe it might work for your or it won't, but I'd advise looking into mindfulness and going on NoFap (no peeking/edging, sex is okay though).
Meditation tips

Once you get that gap, breathe in and out through your nose deeply and slowly. Eventually that stillness will become longer the more you meditate

Recognize your negative thoughts, but act as an observer to them. This is good for realizing how irrational they are, journalling them is also good
- Use mantra's. I often repeat to myself things like ''I love myself. I have improved myself and will continue to do so'' and it begins to embed itself in my thoughts

That's funny considering that it is now understood that before the industrial revolution, artificial light and alarm clocks, that it was taken for granted people actually had two sleeps. It was normal that people woke up for an hour or two and went back to bed, and usually had sex in between them in the middle of the night as a normal part of our body's rhythms. We're literally wired to wake up in the middle of the night, bang and fall back asleep. That is most likely why men and women are the most aroused at night and the least in the day. Makes sense considering that humans evolved our timing partly around natural predators and slept during the times the animals most dangerous to us were asleep, which is when it was safest to bang.
Besides all the disruptions to our natural rhythms that have messed our sleep up, on average people actually have less sex now than previous generations. We're wired to fuck. We're wired to do many things that relieve stress which we don't do enough of because of modern living that has obvious consequences. Not having that release we're wired for is stressful to the body. It's not about a crutch or excuses. The body is meant to work a certain way and it is a stressor when it isn't allowed to do so.
If we weren't meant to masturbate, then most mammals wouldn't do it. The most amount of wiring in the body is between the hands and brain. After that, the brain and genitals. Obviously, people have varying hormonal profiles which have huge impacts on our behavior, which results in varying sex drives among people.
Now jerking off too much is obviously not good, but per se it is fine. And not just because Drs want to be liked.
The only Drs that ever said smoking was fine were AMA shills who were knowingly lying because the AMA was funded by Tobacco. People have always known smoking was bad since America was being colonized. European monarchs only stopped banning it for tax revenue. People always knew it was bad for you. Drs said it was bad for you for centuries before they did. Very few people with a brain ever said that it wasn't. There is no jerking off lobby so I don't really see the analogy or relevance here. Maybe Drs like jerking off but it's not taboo like in the old times in most ancient cultures where people would possibly get beat for it.
In my experience I've never heard anyone argue eating a "shit ton of carbs" as you say will "help you lose weight". There have always been serving sizes and a Cal intake for your BMR. Most of my life it was assumed that fat made you fat, and that not eating fat didn't, and diets became low in fat and high in carbs because many low fat foods are high carb foods. Fact is regardless of your macro ratios, Cals in/Cals out still applies. It's just way easier to eat too many Calories on a low fat higher carb diet because of hormones, and it becomes addicting like drugs because we didn't evolve with high carb diets. Fat and fiber naturally satiate us. That's why it's easy to eat too much rice or bread but no one eats too much Greek yogurt or oatmeal. Caloric intake and portion control has always been the weight loss game. No one ever got fat off of a low fat high carb intake within the right Cal range. People get fat because they eat too much no matter what it is. How this relates to masturbation is beyond me but more horrible facts and logic here that bothered me. Especially considering that it is only recently that is was acceptable to even say masturbation was okay and it was mostly shunned for barbaric superstitious reasons. So this is like an attempted inverse analogy.
There is nothing analogical about dieting and masturbation. Drugs or masturbation for sleep are not the same. Drugs introduce chemicals that are not in your body and change your biochemistry and hormone balances in ways or within ranges the body is not able to otherwise which is how tissue dependence is created. Masturbation does not. I would say you could argue were born dependent on it and possibly some people are wired to become addicted but generally, no one is dependent on jerking of like drugs. Being dependent on a chemical you have to out into our body and alters our basic equilibriums is not the same as a behavior that maintains them and evolved for that purpose. Why do you think men get hard all night and ejaculate in their sleep? It's not to feed your dick cells more oxygen or clean house. It is because your body usually ends up taking care of business one way or another whether you want it to or not. If women skip their periods with how they take their birth control, their periods change. We don't ejaculte exclusively to reproduce. We have nocturnal emissions to maintain a balance. We have a hard time not jerking off for this same reason. It's like trying to make your body stop having other cycles.
The stress caused by not orgasming is your body's way of making you remember to fulfill evolution. Masturbation evolved to mitigate this stress so it wasn't disruptive to survival since one cannot always bang whenever they want.
Needing to jerk off to sleep, especially considering modern living is much more chronically stressful is natural whereas needing drugs to do so is not.

I've noticed similar effects to this. It's almost like you have this fire in your personality that you can't explain. As you said- "zero social anxiety". You just don't care what happens anymore. It's the literal embodiment of outcome independence.

At least go 80% clean and 20% dirty. Dont just drop clean eating altogether if you cant do it 100%.
That way instead of one cheat meal per week, have one every other day. So assuming youre eating 4 meals a day x 7 days a week. Thats 3 cheat meals out of 24 clean per week.
This helped me out. Look, youre not trying to jump on a stage for physique bodybuilding, so you can go looser on it.

If you live in a city you should look into recipe delivery products like Plated or Blue Apron. They can teach you how to cook with minimal materials, main issues is catching the weekly delivery. They ship with the herbs and oils you'll need which is nice, but the perishable aspect is weak. There are meal delivery ones too, where you need only heat it.

So yes - it can become a problem for some people. There are studies showing dopamine levels in the brain after orgasm = brain on heroine. So if you're edging for hours at a time it's like getting high every day and your body won't want to quit.

I use headspace . I am in day 80 and i still cant do a 20 minute session without getting carried away. I increased my sessions to 40 minutes a day while doing affirmations day night. Along with NF straight to New year.
It requires practice and patience but the results are always worth.

Theres many different studies regarding prostate cancer and masturbation. Half of them contradict one another. I read many of them and one said if you masturbate before 20 you are more likely to get prostate cancer later on in life and another study suggested it only reduces the chance of getting prostate cancer when you are an old man.
At the end of the day, even if it does correlate, it is definitely not a causation. The correlation is because, if you don't masturbate then your prostate isn't really active so it would increase chances of cancer however you do not need to masturbate to have an active prostate gland. Sex provides activity in the prostate gland and so does nutrition. Zinc, selenium and boron are great minerals that significantly reduce the chances of getting cancer. Exercising and getting decent amount of the mineral boron is enough to reduce prostate cancer change by 64% which is way more than what masturbating can do.

Nutrition > Masturbation
Supplements > Masturbation
Masturbation > Porn

I believe it is bad for you. Your point is based solely on prostate cancer, which is not a problem if you're under 40 years of age. Frequent ejaculation may ward off the potential for prostate cancer, but this is best done with a partner than by yourself.
Here's the problem with that, masturbation downregulates androgen receptors and increases the expression of estrogenic receptors in specific brain regions, leading to inhibition of sexual behaviour (sexual satiety).
Prolactin increases after ejaculation which leads to lower libido and lower dopamine levels (dopamine and prolactin levels are inverse)
Dopamine is necessary for stimulating testosterone production.
Higher serum testosterone levels are seen after 3 weeks of abstinence.
Masturbation expels zinc, prostate cells accumulate the highest amount of zinc than any other cell in the body, both testosterone and prolactin regulate the uptake and accumulation of zinc specifically in citrate-producing prostate cells.
As for immune system function, I would hazard a guess this has to do with the parasympathetic nervous system and cortisol as ejaculation requires being calm but ejaculation affects neurotransmitters and hormones that are implicated in immune system function. I haven't read enough into that area yet, but I don't think jerking off frequently is going to make your immune system stronger because of how it affects hormones and neurotransmitters.
