Approach anxiety is often simply caused by imagining the worst possible scenario in a situation. This is not the best tactic when it comes to interacting with women, or anyone for that matter. Not just approach anxiety, but in other contexts as well. Remember: A core belief of the natural is that "it's always on". Even if it's not "always on", it's best to believe it. Nothing drys up women more than an unconfident man.
EXERCISES:
Your Ideal Day
- Visualize ideal day for 10 minutes
Specific Sticking Points:
-
Write down top 3 sticking points.
- Visualize all three, and the outcomes that go with them
Goal visualization:
- Visualize main goals, movie style.
Do 10 minutes of visualization daily, alternating between those 3 exercises.
I won't overload this one. I prefer to keep it simple. No need to write a novel here. A true alpha male is confident and believes in himself. By the way, I am not endorsed but I believe in myself enough to shamelessly say my blog (which is my username) has more content there as well. My post history will have other posts written in this series. There is more to come in this 12 part series, so stay tuned for the next one!
Happy holidays!

Visualizing an ideal day... except that there’s no such thing as an ideal day. A day is a day, that’s it. It’s up to you how you want to perceive that day as good or shitty. Visualizing is a great tool, but without the action of going through the fire that a man must do (ie. actually coming up to a girl nervous as fuck without trying to change how he feels) to improve himself, it’s useless.
IceColdHell 5y ago
As a programmer you are always trained to visualize the worst case scenario in order to avoid it. This methodology really multiplied my approach anxiety tenfolds as I seem to apply it to my everyday life subconsciously.

u/GayLubeOil writes a funny post about serious matters... u/Whisper writes a serious post about serious matters... and u/sadomasochrist writes serious post about fun matters...
Done
And I upvote and I post comments here and there and those get upvotes too.
Sun sets when I close my laptop and smile to a beautiful girl in cafeteria.
Looks like you're hitting the "fake it until you make it" phase hard, but whatever.

If you have anxiety just pray and turn to jesus
1 Peter 5:7 Throw all your anxiety on [God], because he cares for you,”.
If you want to be alpha. Follow jesus footsteps
Revelation 21:6
And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment
I know this will get downvoted but fuck it. Hopefully someone takes the advice and runs with it. Worked for me

This exactly. The male example for us all, alphas and omegas. Betas too perhaps.

Perhaps pray to Harry Potter or The Tooth Fairy too, or any other fictional character in the hopes they sort your life out.
Or
You could take responsibility for yourself and take active steps to improve your life.
While millions starve every day, die brutal deaths, kids get raped you really think God is going: "Oh, well Auxfite has some anxiety, let me give him hand"
It's a useful placebo, nothing more.
ex_addict_bro 5y ago
I have seen lot of dead people in my work, but you know, what gave me proper mindset?
Watching most brutal threads at r slash watchpeopledie.
Somehow I realised death is inevitable, the world is not a safe place at all (my security and comfort are really temporary, including my health, wealth, whatever)... that this whole religious bullshit was actually enforced upon us as another layer of a system of control...
Thinking about "higher power" does help, I think. There was some research, religion helps in general.
Just like placebo helps. There was some research too.
Would you call placebo a drug? Me neither. Does it help? It does.
Praying to Harry Potter or Joe Pesci... shit, why not.
Taking responsibility? Hmmm... what if there's no free will and we only have an illusion of decision, where in reality everything has been already set-up (the so-called "predestination")?
What if it is exactly so... and I won't use it as a reason to get depressive and stay in bed whole day?
Ha. You never know.
Wanna read magic books together?

I never thought you could get downvoted for such a reply on this subreddit of all places.

Psalm 14: The fool says there is no God.
“The fool”: In the Bible, this designation carries moral rather than intellectual meaning (Isa. 32:6).
The Hebrew word rendered “fool” in the Old Testament denotes one who is morally deficient (53:1; Deut. 32:5-6; Prov. 17:20-21).
It would certainly be a fool who would say there is no God. We have only to look around us at all of God's creation and know there is God. Just the fact that a planet rotates in the atmosphere and does not fall, shows that there is order in the universe. Some One, greater than you and I, put the planet there and told it what to do. So many people in the age we live in, have the false idea that we will become a god some day. To answer them I say, have you created any worlds lately? An intelligence so far above our comprehension created the entire universe, and everything and everyone in it. I can dig a hole in the ground and plant a seed, water it and watch it grow. The strange thing is that, I did not make the ground to put it in. I had nothing to do with the making of the seed, and I didn't even make the water to water it with. You see, if there were no God to provide the earth, the seed, and the water, then I could not grow a plant. I am not even in control of the next breath I breathe.
When God gets ready for me to stop breathing, I will. How foolish it is to say there is no God. You see, we do not even have the ability to save ourselves from hell. We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. If we say we have not sinned, we are a liar. Our only hope is God. He loved us and sent His precious Son to die on the cross to save us. Our sins are not just covered up, they are wiped away in the blood of our precious Savior, Jesus Christ. The only thing we are required to do is to believe. What a fool, to say there is no God
ex_addict_bro 5y ago
Well, it will happen just so. For some reason, I think that you don't exactly can comprehend God. It's just like a hen looks at you and sees your hands and thinks "omg look at those big claws, he could dig out so many worms, look at his big beak, he could eat them at once"
This is what you're implying, that God cares when you stop breathing. I don't think so. We're a form of energy, a form of matter, created - yes, why not - but the world in my opinion resembles rather a game engine, the creator set up some rules and stopped bothering with the end effect.
So, nope I guess. God doesn't care if you breathe or not. That's really childishly naive but still, very humane of you to think so
There is.
We are deceived on this world since birth, I agree. We're beyond salvation - look, not even the son of god helped u/KeffirLime. But despite my sarcasm, I agree. Just look at the so-called "trans people". Look what we as a race do to our children, by injecting them with hormones. If "we sinned", then there's a lot of effects of that sin already around us.
Yup, exactly. Plug in into church layer of control. How can you explain that there is not a single cross in that strange chapel in Vatican? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQKfJeikTic
Even if the "good guy Christ" lived as you believe he did, even if the God exists - just exactly as you believe he does - we're fucked on this earth.
By the way, as a true christian - earth is round or flat?

Law 38: Think as you like, but behave like others.
Challenging people's beliefs only serves to isolate you. They will feel personally attacked and do whatever it takes to protect themselves and/or defeat you. It's pointless to argue, especially in the workplace. You will only offend people by not agreeing with them and how they choose to live their lives
ex_addict_bro 5y ago
We aren't in a fucking workplace, what kind of weed are you on?
Auxfite 5y ago
Look @ cognitive dissonance doing its work. The fact that you’re so offended proves I’m right. Wish you a successful and peaceful life!

Harry Potter - Third Book
page 98 "There is no God".
Quoting fiction doesn't prove fiction.
Not sure how you made the leap that not believing in God automatically makes you corrupt and prone to abominable deeds.
In fact I'd argue more blood and torture has been dished out in the name of religion than anything else.
Kinda like feminism, if you don't believe in it, you're a toxic misogynistic male.
Auxfite 5y ago
Because the life of Christ was very uncharacteristic in terms of historical events. This is displayed very well in the book “The Everlasting Man” by G.K. Chesterton. Not to mention Aquinas explains why the Christian faith is true compared to other religions in his “Summa Contra Gentiles”. I suggest you get reading, Keffir, but I bet you probably won’t, as your ego will make you feel smart anyway.
KeffirLime 5y ago
Aquinas's 5 ways theories are very ethereal and offer no backing as to why the God described in the Christian faith exists as the one true god.
It's simply a label he put on natural occurrences. Occurrences which we understand far better today and have far better theories about.
From what I've read of Aquinas his theories could mostly be summed up as, "This happens, therefore there must be a God".
I haven't read Summa Contra Gentiles, but most religious arguments are the same, I doubt there'd be much in there that I haven't heard before, will still look it up though.
Vikingcel 5y ago
Of course this post will get no reply.
AGallopingMonkey 5y ago
Aquinas also had Christianity breathing down his throat. He doesn’t think of god in the same way Christianity does. He thinks god is the perfect philosophical being, the meaning behind everything, its cause. He doesn’t, however, completely align this god with Christianity and in subtle instances disagrees with its views on God. God is less a being and more a reason. Anyone who’s taken a introductory philosophy course recently would know this, as that’s how I learned all of it.
Auxite has no clue what he’s talking about.

Should also internalize one of the core beliefs of stoicism - at the end of the day, does all of it really matter?

Doesn't matter if it matters or not. Do your thing.
