That's a fair question.
I grew up in Smalltown, Midwest. I've seen his "type" a hundred times over. Sure, they do well in the boonies now, but the overall majority of them are fools who slip into an alcohol problem by 30 and then by 40 are overweight and working some shit factory job. I tried to emulate it when I was younger but realized it wasn't the fit me. I'm not the leather jacket and motorcycle kind of guy.
I ended up moving to the city and found the cool guy I wanted to be. The intelligent, well-dressed, well-traveled guy who works a career he likes at a fun and well-paying job. The drink are classier the women are classier and I don't have to retire in Bumblefuck, USA.
So as I said ... there are many types of cool.
