Seven years ago I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. For those of you who know of it but don't think it's real/I'm just lazy - this thing destroyed the life I wanted for myself. If you don't know what it is then I don't blame you. Now. Because of my condition I am undesirable to a woman. I cannot lift. I cannot provide. I can barely go out and meet people let alone frame properly in front of a woman. I will never-not break one of the golden rules of female interaction because I present unavoidable problems and burdens. My SMV is inherently low and there's little I can do to increase it above a certain threshold. Afterall, why would a woman be with someone so debilitated when she can CC and go from stud to stud? Why would she settle with a man who cannot provide a home and safety when she can marry a guy with money? Etc.
I got past the resentment stage long ago. It's not their fault and it sure as shit ain't mine.
But OP if you can't live TRP life why are you here?
Simple. Because TRP is about far more than chicks. At it's core it's about being a better you. It instill a boat load of self confidence. It encourages you to set and attain the goals you set for yourself. And above it all it helps you understand the world in which we all live and a man's place in it. Learning to get laid and be a hedonist is all fun and games, enjoy the decline yadda yadda, but it's the level of understanding TRP philosophy provides that is the golden nugget of information.
So! My personal story:
Despite the hardships and difficulty in logistics I managed to go steady with a girl for around 4 months this year. It was good. Very few shit-tests, as much sex as I could handle, she was submissive to my desires (thankfully I'm naturally a dominant personality). The dream. How, you ask? I mean she was well aware of my medical problems but I did my upmost to suffer in silence and not be a burden - emotionally and physically. I wasn't afraid to cancel plans together if I wasn't up to going out or having her round and I never blamed my condition. Things worked well for a while and I got to enjoy female company for the first time in years. Shit collapsed when I lost my nerve, though, and broke the rule I set for myself: I am enough of a burden to be with so minimize the burden.
My mother tried to kill herself in front of me and my whole family. I managed to stop her. The experience was... Intense. And I was shook up. Badly.
With frame the last thing on my mind I went to my girl for emotional support. She was busy and I asked her to cancel her plans with her friends. I needed a hug. I was weak. We were calling eachother bf/gf at this point so I figure it would be alright. What are LTRs for if not shit like this? She broke up with me the day after because she couldn't handle me being this way.
Without a TRP outlook I would have been distraught. I would have phoned her in tears a day later asking how she could do that to me. I would have been a wimp about it. Instead I understood completely and cut all contact. Blocked her on every platform I had her on. I'm already a burden to her, there are already Chads on the market and she was a 7/10, so there's no reason to put up with me. AWALT. I focused on pulling myself back together instead. And it helped.
With my sob story over here's what I learned about being a disabled TRP-er and having my first RP relationship:
- If you're reading this sub and you're like me... It's ok to not be Chad. Some people just can't be.
- You are not a lost cause - you can still find girls. Focus on what you can improve to increase your SMV to the point it outshines your inherent drawbacks.
- TRP is useful regardless of your personal situation and likelyhood of getting laid.
- If you manage to pull, you need to be on your A game at all times and far more than a normie.
- Be ok with yourself.
Life is hard enough for even the most fortunate souls. For us, it can be harder. Don't lament over what others have and others are capable of. It doesn't help you. Have an outlook that helps you. Do things that help you. Self-loathing gets you nowhere. Not in life, not with the ladies.
TL;DR: TRP is the way forward regardless of your personal circumstances and ability to act on the philosophy.

I would try and seek an expert in the field but this is what I could gather of something that may be helpful to know when you talk to your doctor.
From Wikipedia: There is some preliminary evidence that the immunomodulatory medication rintatolimod improves exercise capacity, as well as cognitive function and quality of life, based on two trials.[5][99][100] The US FDA has repeatedly denied commercial approval, citing numerous deficiencies in both trials, and concluding that the available evidence is insufficient to demonstrate its safety or efficacy in CFS.[13][101]

OP DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE GUYS TALKING ABOUT STIMULANTS and micro-dosing lsd.
binarynightmare 6y ago
Wow, very sincere post my dude. Would be nice to see more of these around here instead of all the self asserting nonsense by noobs. Anyways, do you have any redpill/alpha heroes you look up to, ones that you could get inspiration from who aren't necessarily hollywood muscle monsters? Someone like Elon Musk comes to mind.
Trooper_1868 6y ago
This really amazes me. When we have a post as good as this one, most of the people who commented are really interested in you and want to help figure out what you can do. Community really comes together. We need more good quality posts like this.

At 19 I was diagnosed with what Doctors variously termed Chronic fatigue syndrome/Fibromyalgia/Chronic Anxiety Disorder. With IBS thrown in for good measure.
“ • If you manage to pull, you need to be on your A-Game at all times...”
This is very true. If I drank alcohol I’d be a bloated and exhausted mess until the next weekend came around essentially living in a permanent state of illness. And socialising for a young Briton IS alcohol.
It was a cruel paradox. You get well and fit in the hope of meeting people but fat and ill in the only places where that occurred. On the subject of paradoxes alcohol eased my anxiety but then as mentioned exacerbated my symptoms tenfold. How could I lift or run when barely had the energy and confidence to show up for work?
Sometimes I like to look back and curse women for playing me, friendzoning me and just being shedevils who glory in manipulating nice guys only to worship at alpha bad boy cock. But that’s unfair to be honest. My anxiety, LSE and exhausted, bloated body did me far more harm than AWALT.
If I’m gonna hate women I may as well hate most men who whilst hardly being privileged have an immune system and natural confidence level which gives them much more opportunities to play the game.
Of course this was before the explosion of Tinder etc where you can ideally fuck without having to socialise in a traditional way.
The major positive however is whilst the party seems to be over for some men im in my thirties and feel more 18 than I ever did at 18. This is partly because I live healthier through more exercise and less dairy, caffeine and alcohol and partly through stoicism and other positive self help from Strauss’ The Game to Tony Robbins to The Red Pill which has made me fearless with bouts of anxiety/LSE as opposed to anxious with bouts of confidence.
I know enjoy things I never did as youngster. I give myself a break and stop beating myself up. Good moods now being the rule not the exception.
All women really care about is “Does he rate himself?”
If you’re not there then unfortunately it’s not a numbers Game. You will lose every time.
The good news is if you do rate yourself then none of the superficial stuff that you thought mattered actually matters.
LordThunderbolt 6y ago
Just get on roids and HGH my guy. Nothing some Tren can't fix. I'm normally against the use of roids for young guys, but if you have a medical condition, I think it's appropriate.

Honestly I mostly just lurk this subreddit. But the core things I take from reading is just focusing on y your own shit and moving forward rather than chasing love all the time. This is what I've been doing and God damn I love the freedom of being single.....a women got to be AMAZING. So in conclusion you've got a point that it's more than just women.

Great post.
Solid TRP, not creepy incel/blackpill/mgtow shit.
You were dealt a shitty hand. Most stop there. "I can't be superChad, why should I do anything at all? Women suck!"
You realized that you can't be an 8, but you sure as shit can raise yourself from a 4 to a 6.
You even included a setback (never let them see you weak), the consequences, and the realization of the error of your ways.
One piece of advice... you spend a lot of time on vidgame subs. Which means you spend even more time on vidgames. There are better things to do with your time.
Nice work.
Realhumanbean2152 6y ago
Why not take modafinil lol it will force the receptors in your brain to wake up and you won't be a lazy phucker
brugriff 6y ago
I'm bedbound some days so they're a decent way to pass the time, but you're 100% right. Part of my condition involves "brainfog." Thinking is incredibly hard some times so self education is difficult. I'm still trying to read more, even light fiction because I'm sure that's better than vidya, and I've also taken up chess to flex my brain.
Another thing I did was get myself a ferret two years ago. I thought having something to care about, something to be responsible for, would be healthy. Turns out it was.
Thanks for the advice and encouragement.
redlife_awalt 6y ago
You mentioned that you wanted to increase your focus and thinking; have you tried playing strategy games like Civilization or Starcraft?

Read up on articles by Ray Peat. He has some good advice, though not specific to CFS, generally involves improving your energy levels. If you never smoked, try micro dosing nicotine ( gum or patch)

You may like Rosetta Stone. It's a software for learning foreign languages (it's expensive but easy to find on P2P) that is built in a very simple manner. In fact, I've seen 4 year olds use it without a hitch, so it may be easy enough to use with a foggy brain.
I've tried it sick and hungover and the whole thing is built around simple clicks so give it a try
harryspanker 6y ago
Yah whats your diet bro??? I changed up mine feel way less fatigued
chadeusmaximus 6y ago
...Brainfog.
Speaking of brainfog, I noticed that AMP energy drinks are great for waking my ass up, better than any other caffeine drink I've tried.
It's more than just the caffeine. Their also loaded with B vitamins which I think is the key here. And they don't taste like energy drinks. So if you haven't tried it yet, I'd recommend checking them out.
Question on the chronic fatigue thing. There's probably something chemically wrong with you. Maybe you're not getting enough...something... in your diet... Have you been to the doctor to figure out what that is? Maybe. You'd qualify for Obama care if you're poor.
And the part about your Mom. God damn. Internet high five for keeping it together long enough to stop her.
You may not have the strength to be a hero but you definitely got what it takes to be a sidekick. And sidekicks are heroes too. :) +1. ????
MessianicJuice 6y ago
Literally every single energy drink has B vitamins. Amp, rockstar, monster, etc, are almost all exactly the same except for flavors and sweeteners used. There are a couple drinks which have some light nootropics in them, but they're still kinda hard to find.
Casanova-Quinn 6y ago
Have you been tested for sleep apnea? Low energy and brain fog are two common symptoms of it.
NiveusT 6y ago
Is there an easy way to get tested for this? Or are they all in an isolated setting?
Casanova-Quinn 6y ago
I assume that you have to spend a night at a hospital being monitored for a proper diagnosis.
RedwallAllratuRatbar 6y ago
Some people tape their mouths and compare their sleep quality. The only approximation we have atm
Rian_Stone 6y ago
Have you tried the nootropic route for the fog?
brugriff 6y ago
I'm self medicating for my condition because modern medicine has nothing for me. Not much I've had has managed to help my cognitive abilities.
At the moment I'm on a tonne of vitamins like B complexes for energy, essential oils and such. I'm also taking shirtaji for the acids it has, apparently they're good for the brain. Chaga tincture, too.
Got any recommendations? I'm always open to trying new remedies.

Dude.. go get your Testosterone levels checked ASAP! A lot of your symptoms are from low T!
Have you ever had a brain injury? TBIs can cause low testosterone.
Joe Rogan had a Dr. On who treats veterans, people who had motorcycle accidents etc. They suffer from depression, fatigue and a ton of other shit. The Dr. Gets many off drugs and puts them on testosterone replacement therapy and if changes their life.
Also, do you consume soy milk or tofu? That shit is a synthetic form of estrogen and is horrible.
Get your testosterone levels checked and post the results
http://www.prohealth.com/library/showarticle.cfm?libid=8114
What Are the Symptoms?
Dr. Anton Dotson from the Cenegenics Medical Institute in Los Vegas lists some of the symptoms of male menopause as
· Decline in muscle mass and strength
· Increase in body fat mass
· Decrease of bone mass
· Decline in sex drive and sexual difficulties
· Decreased sense of overall well-being, perception of energy level, and vigor
· Decline in stamina and exertional performance
· Decline in cognitive skills, concentration and memory
· Coronary artery disease and higher cholesterol levels

Check out some Ginkgo Biloba and make sure to load up on immune system boosters. Since your body is tired enough as it is, I’m sure getting sick lasts a long ass time and your immune system can’t work at its full potential.
brugriff 6y ago
Bought some two weeks ago, actually! I'm on a number of adaoptogens too to help my immune system. There's theories out there my condition is auto-immune so it either needs to calm the fuck down or, like you said, needs reinforcing so I don't catch every disease I encounter so I've got both bases covered.

Get some armodafinil or modafinil. In in the same shoes as you,bit that is to these Wonderkurs this GS, some other nootropics and then following that a healthy diet and light sport, I made it and came back from this hole.

thank god someone said it. I have brainfog from depression and constantly triggered allergies (think your immune system constantly flooding you with histamines, swelling, and cupfuls of snot from lungs throat and nose OVER EVERYTHING in the air), and magnesium is a magic bullet along with vitamin D (5,000 tabs, not teh 2,000 bs) with proper sleep and diet.

baron_vladimir 6y ago
Purely anecdotical, but I have done a keto diet (check out their subreddit) on and off for years. After the adjustment period it has helped a lot with the brainfog every time.
Also there's a nootropics sub if you want more advice on that front.
SmellsLikeNostrils 6y ago
Not a doctor. Not disabled in that way.
But I do keto and it has cleared my thinking. It is not that the clear moments are clearer, but that there are far far fewer unclear moments. The food coma and lethargy that came after eating is 95% reduced since maintaining a ketogenic state and eating keto. General hunger is reduced 80%. Physically I've improved.
The diet itself takes a relatively high level of discipline, as far as diets go. I mean real diets, where you actually eat food. Starvation requires discipline, as does celibacy or any self-abnegation. But why?
The added discipline helps.
Far as nootropics, it's a very gray area morally and sometimes legally. No one needs them. But they can help. Caffeine and theanine in tea are nootropics. Some are risky. Others less so.
I'd (not a doctor) recommend to try Piracetam, if anything. It's the original "nootropic" or "smart drug" and it's one of the most tested. It's got a great safety record and it's not overwhelming. It sharpens my thinking subtly and makes me better able to perceive and process. And with fewer side effects than a cup of coffee. I tried pramiracetam, aniracetam, fasoracetam, Noopept, all the way up to Crystal meth. I still love Piracetam because I can just forget I took anything and work.
Some might object to any self medication on principle. Just like some might object to wearing a belt or gloves or straps for lifting.
You do you. But if you're going to use tools, get good ones and don't become dependant.

You should look into armodafinil which is prescribed as a drug for narcolepsy and off label for adhd.
StinkyDiaper 6y ago
I also used to experiment with all kinds of things, but I eventually found that many supplements can make problems even worse. Sometimes you need to simply get out of your own way.
sketchyuser 6y ago
Have you tried Magnesium? Cured my brain fog for the most part. Get doctors Best from amazon. Start slow with 200mg a day and raise it until you find a sweet spot. Eventually you won’t be deficient anymore and it won’t have as much of an effect but it’s good to make sure you’re not deficient.
daringdeviljackass 6y ago
Go slow on the B vitamins. They're good and really useful (imo the word "vitamins" doesnt give b3 and b6 enough credit). However they can build up and while b3 can cause or exacerbate low blood (causing you to feel stressed and brainfog), b6 can cause serious insomnia even at approproate dosages, which is why dosages should be constantly tapered down and up again when needed or a.few days off

You know what fixed brain fog for me? Working out 2x/day on weekdays, TRT (100mg E3D), and modafinil.
I haven't had a hint of brain fog in months, even though this time of year (winter), I'm normally doing generally awful.
brugriff 6y ago
Do you have SAD? Usually feeling shit in winter is because of that. My dad manages his with lots of vit D.
needaparka 6y ago
I've always taken shittons of vitamin D (10,000-15,000 IU/day) and it helps, but it doesn't help on anywhere near the level TRT did. I even had normal hormone levels (676 ng/dL), but since about 2 weeks after starting TRT I've felt like I've been on summer break continuously.
techstuph 6y ago
Have you had your testosterone checked? Fatigue and brainfog are very common for men with low testosterone.
brugriff 6y ago
Yup! I've had dozens of tests for all sorts of things. Everything was normal, including T.
cBIGONE 6y ago
What was your T exactly?? "Normal T" has a massive range.
derpderp5000 6y ago

zwidmer 6y ago
Fuck that! I am tired all the time, docs trying to figure out what is wrong with me. I have zero muscles. I fought so hard for everything I have and it feels so fucking good. I have the best supportive girlfriend and the best life behind me. No I don't have the energy to be the person I wanted to be. Fuck if I even manage to get out of bed without the agony! So to you my friend: fuck you. Try again.
strikethrough123 6y ago
To put it simply, Chad doesn't know that he's Chad. To him, he's just going through the motions. Female attention and sex is a regular thing for him to the point that he doesn't know any other way. It's like food and water.
Not being Chad and knowing this shit gives you a magnificent high that you can live on for weeks when you're suddenly being treated like Chad from multiple females after you've put in some work on yourself.

Yet no man ever wetted clay and then left it, as if there would be bricks by chance and Fortune; nor, having provided wool and leather, sat him down and prayed to Fortune that they might be made clothes and shoes for him; nor can any man, when he hath amassed together much gold and silver, and furnished himself with a multitude of slaves and attendants, and enclosed himself in a great palace with many gates, and set out costly couches and tables, fancy to himself that, if he have not wisdom with them, these things will be his happiness, and an undisturbed, blissful, and unchangeable life.

Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:

I dealt with CFS for three years and finally discovered my problem: low thyroid and low testosterone. I am now on TRT and thyroid replacement and feeling 80% better. Hormones, primarily thyroid, cortisol, and testosterone control your energy among many other things. If you have low energy, it is EXTREMELY likely you are somewhat lacking in at least one of these three hormones. You need bloodwork done. You also need to SEE your bloodwork results. Not just rely on your doctor who will tell you, “everything is in range.” My testosterone was “in range”. My levels were 300 on a scale of 250-1100. That’s about as low as a 70 year old man. Same with my thyroid. My TSH was 4.9 in a range of .5-5.0. “In range” doesn’t mean shit. Go to an integrative medical doctor who will work with you and request him to test the following: 1. SALIVARY CORTISOL 4x, 2. TSH, 3. Free T3, 4. Free T4, 5. Reverse T3, 6. Total Testosterone, 7. Free testosterone. CFS is not a cause, it is a symptom. Energy stems directly from hormones. If you have questions interpreting a bloodwork or finding a doctor who will work with you, feel free to PM me. Remember, CFS is a SYMPTOM. It is not an actual disease. I dealt with it for 3 years and cured it after over 20 blood tests and 5 different doctors. The cause depends on the person. 99% of the time though, it is hormone related.

What do you mean by salivary cortisol "4x"? And is measuring for saliva better than from blood?
If your cortisol is very high what can doctors do about it? I made a post about this a while back and people said the only thing is to learn relaxation and meditation techniques because there's no medical solution.
dabah2014 6y ago
"Salivary Cortisol 4x" is a method of measuring the diurnal rhythm of FREE cortisol levels by collecting saliva samples 4 times over the course of a single day (usually 8 am, 12 pm, 4 pm, and 8 am). Blood cortisol by itself is usually insufficient for uncovering cortisol deficiencies UNLESS you have a severe case of either Addison's or Cushing's disease. There are numerous studies indicating the effectiveness of salivary testing vs blood for diagnosing adrenal insufficiency. Here is one.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6316831
Healthy cortisol levels are highest in the morning and are supposed to gradually decrease throughout the day reaching their lowest point at night. Blood cortisol cannot map these rhythms, only salivary cortisol testing can. Most people with cortisol problems have a condition that is slowly becoming recognized as "HPA axis dysfunction". Contrary to popular belief, high cortisol is not the issue for most people, LOW cortisol is the issue for most people. HPA axis dysfunction usually follows this pattern:
1) Person becomes stressed due to X situation(s).
2) The hypothalamus releases CRH (corticotrophin releasing hormone) which directs the pituitary to produce ACTH which finally prompts your adrenal glands (located directly above the kidneys) to produce cortisol.
3) Cortisol levels remain chronically elevated for a period of time.
4) Eventually, the adrenals crash and no longer respond to the hypothalamus/pituitary commands to create cortisol.
5) Person is left with chronically low cortisol.
Stressors included heavy metal toxicity, overworking, overtraining, high sugar diet, alcohol, antibiotic use(the importance of the gut microbiome is an entire topic in itself), stimulant abuse(yes, this includes commonly accepted substances like adderall, coffee, or pre workouts. The norepinephrine spikes stimulants cause are HORRIBLE for your stress levels), etc...
That's the basic gist of HPA axis dysfunction. The problem is, it doesn't stop there. Low cortisol inhibits T4>T3 thyroid conversion, which in turn raises SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) which in turn lowers free testosterone levels in the body. Cortisol is the head honcho in the hormone chain. When it's to low or to high, every other hormone in the body suffers. Neurotransmitters suffer as well. This effects every aspect of health from libido and confidence to one's ability to wake up in the morning. There is not much traditional western doctors can or will do because most of them are following outdated hormone information from the 80s/90s and will scoff at you for introducing any of the more modern hormone studies/theories that are coming out. Modern endocrinology is a joke, and I could write an entire book on why. A select few doctors MAY offer to prescribe corticosteroids(prednisone, hydrocortisone, medrol, etc..) if your salivary levels are low enough, but corticosteroids can bring about a host of new problems if they are not dosed EXACTLY right. This is why I told the OP he must find a doctor willing to work with him. It is CRUCIAL to find a doctor who perform the necessary bloodwork. I do NOT recommend visiting endocrinologists. They are typically very close-minded and unwilling to treat you unless you are drastically below range for any given hormone test. The best options are:
1) Holistic doctors who are able to prescribe drugs. My primary doctor is a holistic/naturopathic doctor, but she also believes in the importance of drugs for certain situations. Holistic doctors tend to be very open-minded in allowing you to do your own research on your condition. Often times, as long as you can present a valid case for your request, they will prescribe you most drugs that you request. My doctor will prescribe me almost any drug I request as long as I can back up my request with evidence for how X drug may help my specific conditions (hypothyroidism, low testosterone, mercury toxicity, leaky gut syndrome). Keep in mind, I don't abuse this set-up. It's not like I'm constantly asking her for Schedule II drug prescriptions. More like thyroid meds, heavy metal chelators, and anti-fungals. She also performs just about any blood test I request. Yes, there are many holistic doctors out there who are total quacks, but there are also many (like mine) who take a very open approach to treatment and are 100% willing to work with you. I got very lucky with my doctor. If you look around online, there are many sites dedicated to helping people find holistic/open-minded doctors in their area. You have to do some research, but it's worth it in the end.
2) Integrative Medical Doctors. These doctors tend to be less holistic than a naturopath(aka, less likely to correctly diagnose mineral deficiencies, sleep issues, diet problems, etc...) but they are still light years ahead of most endocrinologists and general physicians in their understanding of hormones as well as their willingness to treat deficiencies. My current TRT doc is an integrative medical doctor, and he's fucking awesome. He listens carefully to every concern I have, runs very extensive bloodwork, and is almost always willing to try a new treatment if I provide a convincing case that it would benefit me.
3) Anti-aging/Hormone clinics. These types of clinics are usually very open to prescribing hormones since it's what makes them money. Unfortunately, they often will prescribe hormones when maybe only a simple lifestyle change would have been necessary (better sleep/diet). Their concern is often not as much for helping to improve your health as it is to simply make a dime off you. Still, if you've done your research and it's clear you need hormone therapy, these places can usually help.
The farther I've traveled on my own health journey, the more I've realized we are a nation bent on treating "symptoms". Everything has become a "syndrome" or a "disease". In reality, most "syndromes" and "diseases" (for example, CFS) are simply symptoms that can be traced back to a select few issues:
1) Gut/microbiome health (affected by alcohol, antibiotics, heavy metals, sugar). There's a reason probiotics have been demonstrated by multiple studies to affect every function of the body from testosterone and neurotransmitter levels to digestion and sleep quality.
2) Hormone health(thyroid/cortisol/testosterone deficiency).
3) Parasitic infections(I'm sure I'll get flamed for this, but there's mounting evidence that parasitic infections are more widespread than the medical community has been willing to acknowledge)
4) Improper nutrition.
5) Chronic stress.
I can't tell you how many people I've seen ditch their psychiatric drugs after correcting their hormone levels either through natural means or hormone treatments. Of course, Big Pharma doesn't want you to know this. Take a guy with low testosterone for example. He will have low libido, brain fog, depression, anxiety, etc... It benefits Big Pharma's wallet MUCH more to put him on viagra for libido, adderall for brain fog, Zoloft for depression, and benzos for anxiety than to simply give him a $30/month testosterone prescription that would allow him to ditch ALL those medications. Nobody will ever care about YOUR health more than you. Take charge. Start educating yourself.
My heart breaks for people like the OP since I was once in the exact same fucking place. So many people out there like the OP who have been convinced by Big Pharma and idiotic doctors that they simply have an unexplainable "syndrome" or "condition" that can't be fixed, when the reality is the answer to a healthier life is right within your grasp. Anyways, sorry for the wall of text. Hopefully this shit helped somebody.

I'm a pharmacist. Turns out i had a bug in my GI tract for several years which caused immense fatigue and cognitive problems.
Got zero help from docs and took 5 years of my life. Eventually i convinced my doc to treat me with antibiotics. Used metronidazole for 2 weeks and got rid of the infection. felt great after.

Thanks for this! How did you learn so much about all this?
dabah2014 6y ago
I played a year of college football at a small school. Ended up having 6 surgeries in the space of two years, and I quickly developed a plethora of health problems after all the surgeries (hypothyroid, chronic fatigue, low testosterone, crippling anxiety, etc...). I spent about 3 years visiting traditional doctors, endocrinologists, naturopaths, and Chinese medicine doctors as well as thousands of dollars on natural remedies, drugs, etc.. Basically just trial and error. Looking back, I can honestly say I learned a lot of valuable information from each doctor as well as each method of treatment. To many people tend to be either 100% western medicine or 100% natural/eastern medicine. There's so information much to be gained from both sides.

Very inspirational story. You have my respect. I truly mean that, and I pretty much agree with you on all the points. At the end of the day, we can hamster it away yeah, but sex is just like drugs, TV, video games, pursuit of money and power. It's all just dopamine before we die. It's up to the individual to do what the will with what they have been given.
It takes a strong man to realize you blew it and just drop everything. That's a hurdle that I'm just now being able to actually do, and I've definitely seen better results than trying to salvage myself, but I'm still calibrating.
Can I ask, how old are you?

Absolutely not a lost cause! I still managed to get a bird despite my drawbacks when there's thousands of healthy kissless virgins. That said though, the only way I'm managing to stay in shape is diet. Regular exercise is too much of a hurdle right now and since I'm forced to be semi-sedintary with my lifestyle my calorie burn is low - therefore my diet has to reflect that. No chance of being shredded but at least I ain't fat.
Working on sex appeal is a challenge but the LTR was a confidence boost. The fact I was sexually attractive to one woman undoubtedly means I am to others. Abundance mentality, yo.

No matter what you think, there will always be something to improve. TL;DR: Life dealt you a shitty hand, you gonna sit around and do nothing or focus on improving yourself.

Unless you have some mental impairment that prevents you from cultivating a alpha mindset, you're good to proceed with TRP advice.
"Chad" was an archetype we started using here to talk about THAT guy who's genetically gifted, to whom girls are naturally attracted. It was invented as a reminder that AWALT: yes your unicorn could leave you if the right guy comes along at the right time.
"Chad" was never meant as a goal. TRP was founded on the understanding of intersexual dynamics, aka Game. Sure "lift" is advice #1 but as much to get you a strong masculine mindset as to look better. Sure if you can look like in the top 1% by all means do it and it'll help more than anything else you can do. But TRP should not be understood as becoming Chad.
Understanding women. Controlling the frame. Abundance mentality. Don't show weakness. This is what TRP is about, and from your post, it seems you're on the right track.
aditya4mvp 6y ago
How does "Don't show weakness" work with Mark Manson's idea of "being vulnerable". From my understanding, isn't being vulnerable simply owning your 'weakness'?
Augustuscrassus 6y ago
Mark pisses me off sometimes as much as I love his writing because he is a chad. He's tall. Very good looking. Tats. He even talks in his book about how when he was a needy guy he still got laid.
It's different for me, who is 5'10" and have a small bone structure. I have to put in 10 times the work he does. No complaints that's just how it is.
He just gives advice when he could do anything and still get laid.
aditya4mvp 6y ago
Wow I didn't really think about it like that. The context and appearance of the author does play a role in this. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck is still imo a healthy mental model to follow.
Auvergnat 6y ago
I'm not a fan of Mark Manson almost uniquely because of his concept of "vulnerability".
What he meant by this was simply "to take risks". For instance, you must approach despite the anxiety, facing the very real possibility of soul-crushing rejection. In his words, you are "vulnerable" and must act despite your vulnerability. He later went on defining vulnerability as "setting boundaries" (I'm still not sure how he managed that).
So he insists "vulernability" is not weakness. But why this word? He could have said "grow some balls", or "show courage in the face of fear" to talk about the same idea, so why did he insist on that anti-masculine word that is "vulnerability"?
Answer: for the same reason as he titled his books "Models: Attract Women through Honesty" when everyone dabbling in Game knows very well that seduction is dishonest in the first place. He just wanted to position himself risk-free on the market of pick-up-advice by making it women-friendly. Be a gentleman! Be vulnerable! Be honest! You know, "just be yourself!"
Models is full of good tips but it drips with purple pill. It wouldn't be a problem if it were not leading to misunderstanding like yours right now where you consider the possibility that "showing your weakness" is a valid approach to pick-up when your redpill teaching should teach you it's your enemy number one. Do not fucking show weakness. Everything that women are attracted to in men is Power, the complete opposite of weakness.
The only ok way to show vulnerability is discussed by Roissy here: https://heartiste.wordpress.com/2009/01/29/vulnerability-game/ and as you'll read, it must be used when you already have strong attraction from her, be very very subtle in disclosing weakness, and you better know what you're doing.
Check some more of Mark Manson's work: "trust women", "be vulnerable", "women shit-test very rarely", "find yourself a non-manipulative woman"... https://markmanson.net/manipulative-relationships
This guy isn't red pill. Don't read his work. You'll get the same kind of very good advice by reading Roosh's "Bang", but in a blunt, uncompromising, red-pill style (as its title suggests).
aditya4mvp 6y ago
Thanks for clarifying, and the resources. I'm still not familiar with all the pills and theories. I'm coming from a seddit background and while I read and understand a fair amount of what is discussed here, I'm still trying to implement what is taught here while remaining authentic to myself, whatever that means in this context.

Damn my friend, kudos to you. Seriously.
You could spend the day loathing in self-pity, but you decided to face all this shit and take it like a real man. That’s no easy task. I hope despite this you’ve been doing well. How are your days man? I mean, your interests and hobbies, considering you can’t do much outside.
Also, your post made me realize the blessing that is to be healthy. I have nothing to complain of.
Best regards OP!
brugriff 6y ago
I appreciate the kind words, man. Yeah look after your health. It's so easy to take for granted and yet one day you can step off the curb wrong, trip, and break your neck. Boom. Wheelchair.
At the moment my hobbies are chess and that's about it. Most everything else is filler but I've described it all in another comment somewhere.
[deleted] 6y ago
Im trying to get better at chess, yet I feel i make the same mistakes and the same moves over and over again. Like I dont develop my skills or advance. Any tips?
brugriff 6y ago
Play against better people, for one thing. You'll learn far more from your losses than your wins.
There's nothing wrong with making the same moves over and over. There are some really strong attacks/defences. A move I often do is to attack the Queen-side rook with my knight, it's a very classic thing because you can end up checking him and easily taking the rook.
Twitch has a decent number of chess streams. Check them out.
Similarly, watch the pros. Try and predict their moves and such.
There are whole books based around single chess games between Grandmasters. There's thousands just discussing the opening move. There's a wealth of literature - read up!
Get on the chess.com ladder. There's all sorts of cool people in the community and lots of different variants to choose from.
Basically you gotta accept chess is hard, and takes a lot of time and investment to get seriously good. I've actually started to dream it a lot because it's on my mind.
Good luck! And have fun.
[deleted] 6y ago
Thanks alot. When I get better, wanna have an online game sometime? Ill get slaughtered but Im sure Ill learn
Crazyjungl3 6y ago
So you can never get emotional , you gotta have 24/7 frame or she brokes up with you? I hope not all american women are like that! damn
StinkyDiaper 6y ago
You dodged a bullet. My wife would absolutely drop plans with friends to help me emotionally if I went through something as traumatic as that. You didn't do anything wrong.
I, too, have fatigue issues, and also anxiety issues. Because of those things, I am limited. Intense exercise sends my anxiety levels out of control, as does caffeine. I need to keep a pretty good diet, and never push myself too hard in any area. It is what it is.
It's okay to have a weakness. It's not okay to live as if you don't.
Have you ever considered giving kratom a try?
_sleepyparrot_ 6y ago
Question just for clarity: Does the red pill believe that women don't like men who show weakness/vulnerability at ALL, or all the time? Because the latter makes more sense to me.
takethedive 6y ago
The takeaway here is that women are happiest when a big strong oak tree of a leader is there to protect her and she believes that no matter what happens, he'll handle it. She doesn't have to believe you're flawless, or believe nothing will ever slow you down, but she HAS to believe that nothing will ever stop you. That you'll always find a way to overcome any challenge.
Exposing weaknesses to her burdens her. It's a way of asking her to help carry some of the weight of a thing you're having trouble handling. And it plants a seed of doubt in her mind, because even if it's a perfectly reasonable time to seek comfort in her, you're subconsciously teaching her that you're the kind of man who will put some of the weight of his problems on her shoulders instead of keeping it firmly on yours. And then, at varying speeds, almost all women you put in this position repeatedly will begin to create distance from you even if they don't quite understand why.
I know it sounds unfair, but the idea is to take the concept of never showing weakness and internalize that, because this is how it usually goes. We're all human. We have emotions. But don't seek comfort for the bad ones in women, as a rule.
StinkyDiaper 6y ago
AWALT exists on a spectrum. Honestly, you might want to find yourself a woman who was not born and/or raised in Western culture. Many countries out there still teach women to take on "traditional" roles in marriage, and to always stand by their man.
_sleepyparrot_ 6y ago
I've never had these sorts of problems, was just wondering about the theory. Thanks.
brugriff 6y ago
I did actually, yes. I tried a number of strains and honestly all they did was keep me entertained. Had one type that was the best buzz I've ever had but I got quite addicted and called it quits the moment I realized it was just a coping mechanism and not a cure.
The stuff is illegal in the UK now anyway.
Edit: trash tier 3G made me post the comment like 5 times. My bad!
StinkyDiaper 6y ago
Good on you for trying, man.
Do you suffer from depression as well? Have you experienced trauma in the past?
brugriff 6y ago
Fortunately not, no. I'm a positive and happy person. The way I see it I can either sit and stew and do nothing but pity myself or I can be like:
"So this is what I got, and this is what I'm gonna do."
I can't do much but I'm doing it.
And nope! No traumas. My life's been fantastic apart from this illness.

Here's an interesting bit of info for you. I have limited mobility, chronic pain, ptsd and other mental shit I deal with every day. Today is the first day I've been in my shop in almost three weeks to do more than put air in my truck tires. Need to get somewhere on the two cars sitting in here that I'm rebuilding.
I got fucked up in the desert back in 04, was my last deployment. Got forced out a year later. Can't run, can't deploy, can't be in the military. I've gone from the man who was capable of crazy shit, lifting massive weight, doing the impossible as an afterthought, to not being able to walk 200ft without excruciating pain. My back is great, the rest of me is fucked.
Man that was something to get used to, capable to can't do shit. I got fat from sitting around, thankfully didn't lose the muscle, but it was covered in fat. That made it worse. The ex stayed and did what she could through all the crap I had to endure from the war. I endured the pain, and found ways around it to get active again, I started getting better and being who I am, pushed myself again. Then I fucked upmy lungs with a chemical that makes it hurt to breathe. Then the ex took off just when I was recovering from that. Best thing the bitch did for me to be honest. I've gotten more done in the last 4 years than I did in the 9 with her, she was holding me back.
That six months of being unable to do anything let me heal, and now I can walk again, lift, and I get active all summer. Gained weight again during that six months, and subsequently lost it again. Now I'm back where I was when I was fat, but it's more muscle on me now. 48 and still packing on the muscle, I'll never run again, but I'm not a fat ass. I fuck girls half my age easily, not fat chicks but hot girls. I don't tell them a damn thing about what I deal with.
The point of this is you do what you can, find ways around your issues. This goes for everyone, because everyone has issues and you need to get shit done regardless. I've found ways around pain, mental shit, lack of money, living in the middle of nowhere, and not being able to breathe. Your shit is an obstacle, you go over, around, under, or right through the mother fucker.
I get that you lack energy and have a hard time with getting going. Put in as much effort as you can while you can, trust me on that. Build up your tolerance and extend the time where you can get shit done. You're still human, so it will still work. Sitting on your ass won't get you anywhere.

I'm no doc, but I'd say something is broken in your head. And you need to fix that ASAP. You got stuck in a specific, unhealthy mental place and can't get out and you most likely don't even notice it.
This reminds me of my dad in some way. He was a strong man, body builder as a young guy, worked as a nurse for decades, highly professional and so on. At some point his mom (my grandma) developed Alzheimers. Since he was a trained nurse, he took care of her herself. The emotional burden was so high, even as a man with decades of experience in that field, he couldn't do it anymore. He literally couldn't lift his mom out of her bad to take care of her. Imagine that: a strong, fit man could not lift a frail 80-90lbs women out of her bad anymore. Someone who lifted 200+lbs people for a living, the whole day.
In other words: His mind was under so much pressure, his body simply stopped listening to him. Even though he continued to function otherwise, he simply could not help her anymore. His body literally stopped his movements.
I'd assume your body does the same. Personally, I had very low energy episodes, too. Deep down, I know something is....wrong. Broken. I've yet to fix it. After a decade being stuck there, I can at least tell I'm more or less voluntarily stuck there. It's not my body that doesn't function, it's my mind that doesn't allow my body to work as it should. And it does that for reasons.
This indeed does fuck with my body, too. But the main culprit is me not being able to move on. To be stuck in the past for some reasons I can not even articulate.
'm not a medical expert or anything, so take it with a grain of salt. But I'd say something unhinged in your head in a very unhealthy way and you need to figure out what it is and get it back in place ASAP. Being ok with that is wrong.
You are what you are right now and that is how it is. But your body most likely isn't broken. It's your subconscious mind. It prevents you from interacting with the world for some reason. It drains all your energy. You are a dead man walking. You are a prisoner of your own mind instead of a free man. That is not ok.
The only big problem is how to even realize what is holding you back, what kind of constrains you are in. You can't fight invisible chains.
This is a question of understating yourself. Of being closely connected with your body and my. Maybe you should start meditation or something. It's not without side-effects, but it might help. I'd say you need a biiiig step to get out of that shitshow again. In the same way you just...collapsed for no reason. This might be dangerous, I don't know. It's up to you.
Meditation got me to the point where I know what is wrong, deep down in my stomach. I just have to do "it", whatever that might be. It will fix itself in my case, if I only allowed it to happen. Took me years of work though to get to that point.
Best of luck bro!

try losing weight, get out of your depression and look into thyroid hormone replacement. alot of people get diagonsed with that diagnosis when things could have been done. Do you inflammation markers checked?. thyroid, T3. T4. reverse T3? testosterone? Prolactin (heightened can be a result of depression and brain chemistry inbalance). In short educate yourself about your body, I think there are things to be done in most cases.
Augustuscrassus 6y ago
Dude docs aren't going to put you on Test unless you're really low. I just had mine checked recently and its 430 ng/dl. That's normal for a 70 year old man; I'm 27. I've considered SSRIs but i'm almost certain my symptoms are low T related.
For depression and anxiety I've tried exercise. Vit D. O3. Good sleep. Proper diet. Still no change.
Martel_732_Tours 6y ago
What is your diet/supplementation regime like? Have you had hormonal panels taken?
rigbed 6y ago
OP a little discussed point here is that women have physical problems too. And if they’re lucky enough to be married their husbands will take care of them (sometimes), but you can be a chad for women who have similar problems. CFS is more common with blacks and native Americans which means you have a unique opportunity. Don’t give up. Not everyone is able privileged.

MattyAnon Admin 6y ago
Sorry this happened. Sometimes it sucks to be proved right, OP.
Many men have assumed "my problem is huge, therefore my girl will understand". The reality is that context is irrelevant. Any sign of weakness and she's gone - it doesn't matter how severe the problem. This includes serious illness and death of a close family member.
Hypergamy is ruthless, and one of its faces is to pretend it doesn't exist.

I’m sorry you had to go through that brother. I’ve had a similar experience, except it was with my wife and my son was involved.

Just because it has a name and is somewhat medically accepted does NOT mean it's insurmountable.

All my hormone levels are normal. Only blip I had was my liver function was on the lower end of the spectrum but still within the normal range. Testosterone was fine.

A medical doctor has confirmed that you have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
We are supposed to all fall down to our knees and worship our Inca priest benefactor, he/she has opened our eyes and sorted out what was really wrong with us.
I would advise you to never use the coolspeak term "chronic fatigue syndrome", translate it into english and then call it the "alltime tireds thang". This way you will be significantly less tempted to blab about your "condition" to anyone.
Alltime tireds thang can come from a lot of factors, as you already know. If we translate this into english again, "we have no real idea where it comes from, you're on your own".
It's your life OP, you're the only one who will go all-out on it for you and figure out what exactly is holding you back. This diagnosis is a set of generic comfort blinders that, in my opinion, you're too willing & eager to wear.
brugriff 6y ago
I actually do this already. When my buddies in the ACF found out they decided to call it "Faggot Syndrome" because, well, it made me a faggot who couldn't do all the cool and manly stuff I used to. The name stuck. I don't usually talk about it either because a man suffers in silence and is stoic in the face of adversity... This doesn't change my reality though.
I'm fully aware it's a diagnosis of symptoms and for the last 7 years I've been doing my damned to fix this myself since the NHS advise is just "don't push yourself too hard and hope you get better." I've tried dozens of herbal meds, a lot of which was either snake oil or didn't fix me.
But I'm not done fighting yet.
RedwallAllratuRatbar 6y ago
I have it too. Feel free to message to exchange xp
hafskaa 6y ago
I hate to pry into everything you've exhausted through in dealing with your condition, but after reading through this thread it sounds like the only thing your doing is trying herbal meds and completely disregarding western medicine. As mentioned earlier, you've said you had T level measured, what were they? Where were you thyroid numbers? Have you been tested for Lyme, EBV? What does your diet look like? Sleep? Do you drink caffeine? Have you ever even tried HRT? Nofap? Again, my judgement from the thread is that you're stuck and not being proactive enough. No herbal med is going to magically make you feel better. A complete lifestyle AND mindset change needs to be made. Read Dr. Tietalbaum's from fatigued to fantastic. Probably the best blend of western and eastern medicine in treating the disease. Your going to have good days and bad days but you will never see any progress sitting at home taking herbal meds. I've dealt with chronic fatigue issues and the worst thing for my brain fog was doing nothing and watching and browsing all day.

Im also screwed up, dunno who got it worse. I don't think the right mentality is to just look at yourself as a bad deal. I know plenty of war vets and various disabled people whose wives stayed with them, cherish them and love them.
I dont think it's a coincidence that she left you after you showed that you are not made of stone but those kinds of women are garbage. She probably thought you were strong for handling your shit so well and than that fell into water because she is weak herself and looked up to your mental power. When she realized oh shit, energy is not going to me and me alone, I have to give some positive energy back to him. She as a narcissistic whore ended the relationship.
Human relationship is based on oxytocin, hormone of love. It creates loyalty. She had none. Relationships are not trade deals and it's who offers more, that is a "rational, male" approach to it. Not even true considering what kind of garbage quality men tolerate from disgusting women. So you can take it for granted that not even calculating "rational" men make trade deals.
Lose the self pitty and the sense of inferiority you hide under.
Im not a chad either but I am tall, got great hair, big dick and IQ that dwarfs 99% of population. Cunts can lift their own fucking bags.
Jake_le_Dog 6y ago
You still have too much hope for women, mate. It's all about variables, albeit unknown to you. One changed variable will have a significant effect, another will have none.
Don't think one's a bitch and the other isn't, because it's not like that. Women, like all people differ. So not all of them react the same way to one thing. BUT their psychology is the same, so they will all have that certain reaction to something. That is AWALT.
Velebit 6y ago

Sorry I am going to shit on you and might be massively downvoted but fuck it, you need to hear it. I don't know if Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a real thing or not, but I will take your word for it and assume that there is something physically that stops you from going to the gym and getting a career.
This makes me assume that you live with your parents(?) or with some other family member. This is bad, real bad. It is better, at least as a man to live in a shitty apartment out in nowhere than to depend on your parents for housing. If you are still living at home well into 20s it will severely affect your future as self-reliant. My first own living at 18 was with a bunch of drug dealers and criminals, not saying you should do that (you shouldn't) but it did make me work very hard for a better life.
What do you do all day? Assuming you spend all day at home and not working and not lifting you must be doing something. Judging by some other comments you are playing video games, possibly the worst thing you could do. Why not start learning day trading on the stock market? You could learn to make money with a small investment growing it into something, BAM you're the provider. Learn to play chess and when you can handle that, learn to play Go. Learn languages online, read books, not at home but go to places; the park, the coffee shop or the library. Eventually you will start noticing other people that are also there reading and they will notice you too. Perhaps a cute girl is also into reading and is reading in the same coffee shop where you do, eventually you go up to her and ask her about her book and bam you are in.
Fine, you won't be chad. But at least you can be a well read, skillful chess player that knows your way around some languages. That is more than most of us can.

About living at home, I can agree. It is comfortable but you kinda remain a child. Here in Spain it is very common, well into your thirties because the housing market sucks.
Naturally it does not help to get laid. However some friends of mine manage to do it while still with their folks. YMMV.
brugriff 6y ago
Shitting on people is often a good way of giving someone a reality check. I respect that.
You're right, I live with my family still. Luckily I live in a welfare state so I'm getting all my claims sorted. I'll have to see if I'm able to move out on what I get but I'm hopeful. Unless I get better there's no chance I can hold down a job so going on the sick and getting my blue badge and all that is my only option at the mo.
In the day I'm either snoozing, watching my ferret play and tending to him from the comfort of my bed (I can't chase him around like he wants because that shit's tiring so I wrestle him when he comes to say hello and let the dog do the chasing), reading some BS novel or whatever's the popular conspiracy theory of the day, or enjoying some family time laid on the sofa while everyone else does their thing. Some days I feel well enough to go out and help with the shopping or other mundane shit to get out the house but after that I need to sleep and recover. Vidya's usually a few hours in the evening when I'm done for the day.
My dad's a competant chess player and I get a game a day with him at least when I'm doing the family time thing, and I also read about it when my mind's not made of fudge and I can understand it all. The whole cognitive function thing is a real setback, because I can't do difficult mental tasks any more. Oh! And my memory is shot. It was near photographic at one point, my earliest memories are from before I could walk/talk, but now it's... Pretty bad. So data retention is a hurdle too.
Language is something that I didn't think about, and now you've said it I see no reason not to try.
Thanks, man.
Oscar_Cc 6y ago
I do really recommend learning a foreign language. It gives a wonderful sense of accomplishment, and it is a useful skill. Even more so if you are in Britain, where most people probably speak English only.
Great post, you are an inspiration. Really makes me ashamed of moaning sometimes.

She would not give emotional support after your mother tried to kill herself in front of you. How do these women justify this to theirselves? Their hamsters must be on steroids.
myaccount1243 6y ago
if its a turn off to ask for emotional support, then who can you turn to?
Bandos15 6y ago
Family and good male friends is who i would try to turn to.
[deleted] 6y ago
Quality post. Few of these these days. Pretty inspiring actually. Good shit and keep it up.
thefisherman1961 6y ago
This is exactly why every man needs to have close male friends to turn to in times of emotional need when family is not around. male friends you trust are the shoulder to cry on, not a woman.
OP temporarily lost sight of that fact and reverted to his false blue pill programming that women are equal to men and therefore can be the emotional rock for the man. well sure, that’s true, they can. but then they’ll also be sexually repulsed by you for it, which means they will never respect you.

I healed myself of CFS. Before I couldn’t wash the dishes after making a meal. Now I can do 20 chin-ups on a good set. If you ever want to chat or trade notes, message me.

Amazing post my man, if I could shake your hand and tell you thanks for the post I would.

Have you tried cocaine adderal or amphetamines?
hb8only 6y ago
well, wanna hear the secret..? I have a few chad friends.. they do well with bitches BUT..
..BUT.. every time one of them really fall for a girl, like he really wants a girl, she is his type on 100% and so..
..it always backfire for him.. like she just tell him that he takes it very seriously and don't have time for meet with him then at all..
so.. chads.. are fucking a lot.. (or can) BUT when girl sense that my Chad friend wants her a lot, she somehow lost interest..
of course, if they know about TRP, it could be different...
GuitarHero07 6y ago
I think many imagine that a “Chad” could have any woman he wants in an LTR but it’s not always true. Many women will categorize Chad as the fun fuck boy but aren’t interested in a serious relationship with him. They are smart enough to realize that he doesn’t have enough beta traits to be good LTR material.
I have a good friend who gets laid like a rock star. He can never hold down a steady job and is always a paycheck or two from being broke but he is that exciting, good looking guy that drives girls crazy. Banging girls has never been a problem but keeping a girl has always been difficult for him.
While he has sex with a lot of sexy girls, few of them actually see him as relationship material. The ones who do date him don’t stick around. Many of the traits that make a Chad highly attractive for casual sex also make him a bad LTR candidate.
Most of the guys who come here looking for advice have too many “beta” traits. So they look to compensate by turning the “alpha” up to 11. But if there is any interest in getting into LTRs, it helps to have some beta traits e.g. the ability to emotionally invest, a decent job etc.

Because she has a SMV less than you? you are a 6, not a 0. Danny Devito fucks, so you too. Maybe not a 8 or 9, but guess what, I also can't.
You don't need to run to get money anymore.
leviathan51 6y ago
I call mental masturbation.
Try doing pushups instead - not that hard. One more everyday.
Hviterev 6y ago
Yeah ok but no. You can get a ltr. You can go from pussy to pussy. I don't know how bad your case is, but some cripples do it, some fatties do it, I did it when I was depressed and homeless.
Irrational self confidence is more useful than excuses.
Yeah it's tough. That's the whole fucking point.

I was 15 when I was diagnosed. I went to one of the best schools in my area, top of the class, expected to fly through and go to uni. I was in the gym every other day because my school had one that was free to use and I planned on joining the Army. Be an officer. Serve my country since I was classed as "gifted" and felt it was a good way to put my talents to use.
I was in the Army Cadets, too, and did real well. Went on a two week camp in Wales with a 5 day FTX. Had a blast.
Came home and two days later I was in bed sick. I didn't leave my bed for six weeks. I was so ill that when they took me to hospital they thought I had kidney failure and was dying. Banks and banks of tests come up with nothing and since then I've been the same. Physically weak, sleep for up to 20 hours a day... It was relieving to hear I ain't dying but waking up one day to find yourself sick and never get better ain't fun.
Chronic Fatigue is very real. This isn't depression.
Jake_le_Dog 6y ago
Woah shit. Sounds awful.
Okay, so here's a thought. They've diagnosed your symptoms, but they've just given your situation a name, no cause, no nothing.
Maybe it's psychological, some infection, anything. Like the EC suggested in another reply, go and look for a specialist. There may as well be hope, I wouldn't accept the situation just yet.
RonTomJohnson 6y ago
Ever been tested for Lyme disease? Having that happen AFTER going to the field is a something the docs should have looked for and saw in your history
tekn0_ 6y ago
Have had a CFS friend recently discovering that there was Lymes disease in the blood
[deleted] 6y ago
Please write more about your Chronic Fatigue Syndrom and the methods you tried to fight it, I might have an idea
SoulRedemption 6y ago
A fresh post. Thanks for sharing the insight and experience. This helps put things into perspective for some of us. You seem to have a good handle on things. Ace your life.
[deleted] 6y ago
Good post man. Focus on yourself and just try to better yourself any way you can each day. If TRP has taught me anything it is that women are not as important as society would lead us to believe. If you have the money and feel like being in a woman's company, hookers are always a viable option.
[deleted] 6y ago
I had thyroid cancer when I was 16. The one thing I hated the most was pity. I can give you my sympathy though, I hope the party you walk gives you happiness in it's own way.
Keep at it brother.
[deleted] 6y ago
Bro go into IT, regardless of age you can make really good money and it takes very little physical effort. Life is only limited to how much you want out of it.
RedwallAllratuRatbar 6y ago
You need to be on top of your game to do this. OP could as most work as shop assistant, assuming he would sit 90% of the time.
biglaughingcock 6y ago
So on the front of TRP we have this post and the guy who praises natural selection and says that men destroy themselves because of Natty selection...jeez theres no safe water round here

Check out nick Vujicic
This dude has no arms and no legs. However, he’s now a motivational speaker with a wife and kids. If this guy can do it, anyone literally can.
This guy will make you seem like you’re barely disadvantaged. Please read up on him. Hope it gives you some motivation for life

This post is more of a reason why we need to strive to improve ourselves and not take what we have for granted. Have you tried looking into stoicism? I think it may benefit you.
In any case, thank you for a post like this. It is easy to live vicariously on other posters who post about how this stuff works and they get laid with 7's and 8's but at the end of the day we have flaws and we need something like this to sober us up.

Dude, you can do pretty well not being chad.
max_peenor 6y ago
No one is Chad
I've seen some very hard men destroyed by PTSD. A hundred years ago the pangs of survival itself would pull men from that pit. The cure for "shell shock" was to get people shelled again--yeah, really. These days men are encouraged to wallow in their hell. You'll be fine, but you need to get yourself moving.
brugriff 6y ago
I've got a few pals who went into the Army and... Yeah. What they became afterwards is soul destroying. You never think it will happen to them. These guys are gods amongst men, hard as nails. Untouchable. And then you see them breakdown on Bonfire Night, huddled in a corner screaming.
I'm doing my best not to wallow, and get moving as much as I can. TRP's been a Godsend for self motivation. Thanks.
[deleted] 6y ago
Man, sounds like a losers mentality. It just sounds like you don't believe you have what it takes. You haven't even started and you admit defeat.. does not cut it
In life only you know your truth. If you say you can't, you won't
If I were you I'd just give it a real shot, over and over again. Your brain aint on your side, call on your spirit. Humans have overcome worse odds than you have right now

Jog around the block, add a lap each day. Eventually you will adapt and your body will increase energy and testosterone to adapt.

Yo OP, I got diagnosed with that after years of trying anti-depressants and stimulants which did fuck all but in hindsight make me hate my doctor.
Ultimately I went down a pathway called 'nutrigenomics'. My new doctor who has a background in nutrition, got me off wheat and dairy, then took some blood tests and found I was deficient in pretty much everything. He got me on zinc, magnesium, omega 3's, probiotics and vitamin D.
It's expensive, all of my spare income was devoted to it, but now I feel like a rockstar and have a healthy contempt for the soyboy western diet.
10/10 recommend it before you consider nootropics or medication.
Augustuscrassus 6y ago
What's wrong with wheat and milk? How the hell do you get carbs?
[deleted] 6y ago
Well, according to my Doctor and Nutritionist humans don't properly break down the proteins in either wheat or milk. The proteins just float around and your immune system deals with it. Some people tolerate it fine, some people it can really fuck them up over the long term.
I get my carbs from sweet potato or pumpkin mainly. And for snacks I'll have some quick carbs like an apple or a banana with a bit of protein to slow down the absorption.

i have a paraplegic friend, got in a motorcycle accident. Ended up dating the nurse that took care of him at the hospital, they just got married. And no, he didn't get a lot of money from the settlement. You may have it rough, but someone always has it worse.

This thread is for me and I'm glad I'm not alone.
Me: I'm 30 years old. Only got laid twice in my life, (but I don't care about that as the past is the past and you can't change it.) Had some mental health and developmental issues. The old me used to whine and bitch. The old me used to hope for someone to come around. The old me used to get angry when rejected. The old me is dead now, and I'm working on the new me. I'm glad I found TRP and not to just get women, but to improve myself as a man.
As for being lazy, I'm kind of on the same page as you OP. I work a full time job, earning 29k a year with nothing to show for it. I'm just debt free right now. I could have brain fog. No creative entrepreneurial ideas or any clue on making more money. So, I just work on things that I know I can work on. Lifting and doing core exercises. My trainer at the gym also helps me.
What I found by lifting, is the next day, I've noticed getting more attention. (effect of testosterone?)
I live in this world alone. My mom died when I was 3, so I don't know what it's like to use a mom as a financial resource or emotional support. Seeing that I'm still alive, it didn't feel like I didn't really need it. Sure, I got depressed in the past, but now I know depression comes from negative thoughts, but I had more of those because I didn't lift. Sure I won't be chad. Maybe I won't be ripped. Maybe I won't be rich, but I'll be better than I used to be thanks to TRP. Just whatever you do, don't let fear hold you back. Always take a chance.
setzer_ 6y ago
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome hahahha..... do you also have chronic dry eye syndrome ?
Let me guess, you're american ? Where they love to prescribe shit you don't need and embellish on TMS/psychosomatic disorders and make people feel like they are falling apart which further exaggerates the disorder and makes it worse.
Don't believe any of the bullshit they tell you.
brugriff 6y ago
I live in Britain, where the NHS is being rationed and it's very hard to get things you actually need let alone get given stuff that doesn't work but Big Pharma peddles anyway. I received no medication from them or anything. I was told some teens get it, I'll get better in 5-15 years naturally, and in the mean time I shouldn't do anything strenuous.
My brother's girlfriend is on a 6 month waiting list to have 4 teeth removed. She's in constant pain, but NHS.

I quite literally do not have the energy nor time to meet a dozen girls or have sex every day. An LTR allows me to take things at my pace and make concessions for the problems I have. I'm certain being out there in the clubs stalking for your next ONS while maintaining several plates is hella fun but I'm physically incapable of such a feat.
That's life. I'm glad to hear you've had success and achieved the alpha status you desired.
