Hi guys,
Here is the link for Part I: https://www.forums.red/p/theredpill/324310/freedom_of_speech_is_getting_banned_online_part_i
There is a Manosphere case that the Ofcom (UK government) is trying to present as a reason for attacking free speech on ALL online platforms, against ALL communities. They are equivocating between "incels" and the rest of the Manosphere using a false adjacency fallacy.
For context, there are incidences of VERY BAD material and suicide encouragement in "incel" self-identified networks, enough to generate data and statistics to make public statements on them. "Master" (his username on his forums) currently runs a network of websites that includes a suicide forum and Looksmax.Org, which has a pipeline of young people discovering the "black pill" on Tiktok and then registering on the site to rate each others looks. Instead of shutting them down, they invented "duty of care" law to shut down online free speech.
Understandably, you want the term "incel" to be properly defined and then far away from your non-mainstream self-improvement and growth communities.
To properly define "incel" there are two senses of the word:
- Someone who cannot have sexual intercourse (literal meaning, an involuntary celibate)
- Someone who defines it as a state of being (the term), then uses it and applies it to social commentary, explaining how things are using the term (virtually all incel communities in practice)
"Being "incel" is a state of being, not an identity." — Incels.is, Introduction
If this perspective and analysis of social, historical and political power structures through the use of the word "incel" and "involuntary celibates" feels a little like the Frankfurt School, then you are right. It IS a critical theory, just not accepted by the mainstream as one.
This word was not invented by men to refer to themselves and has nothing to do with male self-improvement communities or men's rights.
If you have read this far, thank you for your time.

The above definition of "incels" as a critical theory excludes all red pill and men's rights groups. Please use and spread this definition.
No one who does not self-identify as or know about "incels" is an actual "incel".

Just for the record: OP is an actual incel who would rather attempt to change the world and the way it uses a word than try to improve himself and get laid.
Thread from the trp.red side of the site for those interested.

I named the "incel" and now this username is more motivated than ever to discredit me. He probably also supports internet censorship.
@Typo-MAGAshiv , I don't know what you want. Would you like it if I DM you a couple of DHVs?
Typo-MAGAshiv Endorsed Contributor 1w ago
Yes, yourself.
A) Only when you're wrong. I've told you when you're right about things.
B) it's important that people consider the source.
What on earth gives you that idea? Justify your position.
Edit to reply to your edit:
You're in a Red Pill space. We aren't here to change the world, but rather rule 0: sexual strategy for men and a positive male identity. I'd like to see you hit the weights, read the sidebar and any additional material you might need, and improve your life to include but certainly not limited to getting laid.
Why? Are you trying to seduce me? No thanks.

I'm not sure if you're seriously asking this. Do you have autism?
Typo-MAGAshiv Endorsed Contributor 1w ago
Absolutely. You made an assertion, so back it up.
What makes you think I support internet censorship?
I asked you first, and you have shown several signs of it throughout our exchange.
I'm going to reiterate what I said in my previous reply, with some additional emphasis:

My take on it? Three things:
Many of these laws (at least here in the U.S.) will be challenged and the Supreme Court will shut it down. I'm not really that concerned about it at the moment.

The problem:
Is the number of politicians who will resist enough to actually challenge it?
Your privacy is about to be communalized.

When you say 'both' political wings, I think you are in error. There is only one 'political' wing. There is no left or right anymore, and there has not been for quite some time.
This is clearly evidenced when you look at outcomes, not at stated policies.
