I wanted to make this post after I got hired, but it was finals week in school. Thanksgiving I submitted an app on indeed, and was scheduled for 2 interviews the following week and hired that Friday. It's exposure sales for telemobile communications (cell phones + internet).
The corporate trainers + head boss all have RP growth mindsets (outcome independence, internal locust of control etc). My trainer is an incredible guy. His journey includes being molested by his biological dad then put in the foster care system and adopted 4 times. He was a state champion wrestler for 3 years, but he has his demons haunting him from his past. He reads and lives out the RP mindset despite being BP. He's losing weight, and overall an impressive individual. He's also the best salesman in the office. Starting out, he was a shy introvert with a stutter. Just an incredibly transformation.
So the kind of sales we're doing is exposure, meaning talk to as many people as possible. Even though I'm a heavy extrovert, I have some social apprehension talking to new people (like most people). For the first 3 days it was declining, and yesterday was the first day I zero (on the job). I'm seeing carry over from this to my social abilities outside of the job. It's steadily crushing the social apprehension and approach anxiety despite not cold approaching. I'm absolutely changing.
I had a couple weeks of training, and today's my 5th day in the field. I'm already sitting on a $600 pay check from commission from the past 3 days. (Not including the $400 for switching myself and family over). The money can be fantastic which is needed because my financial situation is changing. I'm also investing every spare dollar in crypto to start building my net worth. I'm working on the job, and am letting the job work on me.

great stuff. Keep going. Enjoy yourself.
I know some are going to shit on me for saying this: stay out of crypto. It's really sad to see so many young people put real money from real work into something which is just a con.
Look up the 'greater fool' theory. that's exactly what crypto is. Please don't be mad at me - just trying to make sure you don't get separated from your money.

Second this. Crypto is a gamble. Put your savings towards something tangible for yourself. An emergency fund. Down payment for an apartment. A car.

Crypto is the fastest way to make money if you know what you're doing. High risk = high reward. I made all of my money in crypto since 2016. The one thing I can agree with is you shouldn't base your entire income off speculation. But crypto is the easiest million you'll ever make if you know the right people and make the right calls.

My comment still stands ....cypto is a zero sum game. All the wins equal all the losses exactly. For you to make money somebody has to loose the exact same amounts. Which ia why is a greater fool business. And we're running out of fools. We've lost over 1 trillion in the recent crypto down turn. Think about that. That's a lot of people's savings. Every con has a patsy. If you playing the game and you cant figure out who the pasty is..... you're the pasty

Congrats! I tried sales a couple of times. I'm a terrible salesman. I tend to think more like a customer than a salesman.
Me: Buy this doohickey.
Customer: No. I don't want to buy a doohickey.
Me: Okay. Have a nice day.

Don't buy crypto. If anything you should be investing in crypto mining. Even better would be to go get yourself a free TDAmeritrade account and go through their free classes on investing.

Impressive, I kinda do wish I could go into sales as well, but I'm not sure how good it compares to the US (I live in the UK), and plus, I'm working towards my career qualifications, although I am only a year in.
Sales is definitely a huge thing, lots of people shit on it, and I do not understand how. I'm reading books and around the topic, but any advice or recommendations are more than welcome (from OP or anyone reading this).

The idea of sales sounds great, and it can be great. However I'm quickly learning it's not perfect and without problems. We do exposure sales, so it's talking to as many people as possible. A single sale isn't gonna make or break us. Talking to 300+ people and getting a no before a yes can stress a lot of people out. I think I'm handling it, but I'm running into other problems.
I'm starting to run into problems with my supervisor. There's some animosity there, he saved a pitch I botched yesterday and reclosed an old veteran couple for me (2 lines, $150 commission). I closed them out in our POS software, but he seems upset. I'm needing to play social chess with this guy now.

I have a couple of friends in sales, and even though they're unaware of trp, they live by it's principles. I think it's because in sales, with a victim mindset, you'll fail miserably, so there's a selection for people that take responsability for themselves.
Anyway, congratulations and keep the momentum going!

Thank you!
And yes, you need to be mentally strong.

Crypto is like a form of betting. Especially when the world economic situation is difficult. You can save your money from playing online games like badland
