Hope you will enjoy this as much as I did; it's always a pleasure watching Maddox destroy someone or a group of people with logic, humor and profanity.

This guy hits it on the head.
It's one of the comments on the article at their site.
What do you guys think?
"Elle -
Not all men view women as walking sex-things. Not all men see women as objects, sexual or otherwise. Many of us grew up in homes where women and men were equal. Much respect for you and yours, but how can making an argument against sexist art be effective when the headline is so inherently sexist? Either you meant the headline as a joke, which was poorly delivered, or you really do have a short sighted view on men. By perpetuating the idea that all men are incapable of understanding woman as equals, you not only invalidate many of us immediately, you also work against years of progress that the feminist movement has made. Nobody will recognize change if you publish things that say, even indirectly, that change isn't happening.
As a large media source, this is your responsibility. People listen to you and believe what you say. It falls on you - nobody else. Own this responsibility, or stop publishing."
TRP has been on my mind much recently, and that Maddox video was perfect reassurance for my thoughts lately.

He misses the fact that no one noticed Spider-MAN's pose because men aren't hyper sexualized, nor made to be glorified sex objects in media.
As an aside, he gives off the vibe he was bullied a lot as a kid, and his dad was probably never around.

Like others said, the cover was created by Manara, famous erotic cartoonist in Europe. My father had a couple of his albums , and i used to read it when i was a kid! check that out : google

Mansplaining. Its short for when a man is explaining something to you. Its misogynistic because men have a penis and a penis is not allowed to explain shit

What I love is how he constantly brings stats about women into it. Half of comic readers are women, half the artist's fans are women.
No one (except SJWs writing for clickbait sites) had a problem with the VARIANT cover. By constantly bringing real stats on women into it, it gives SJWs no ammunition for a rebuttal without extreme hamstring (possibly about internalized misogyny) that most people will see right through and make them lose more credibility.
leftajar 10y ago
At its core, this is the demonization of male sexuality.
Newsflash, everyone: comics are designed for males. Feminism will do this thing, where they point at a male-targeted product or industry, and say, "The way they portray women is sexualized and misogynistic."
Sexualized? Of course it's sexualized! It's a comic for men! We like our action with a side of tits.
Besides, it's not like there's a double standard when it comes to sexualizing men. It's not like major blogs sexualized John Hamm's bulge, or a feminist sexualizes female coders to sell underwear.
But misogynistic? No.
It's not misogynistic to desire and appreciate the sexuality of another person. Make no mistake: this is pure man-hating, because it only goes one way: towards men.
TheSKSpecial 10y ago
Or women sexualizing men to sell romance novels.

Follow the money gentlemen. There is an aggressive PR campaign by the elites to get more women into better paying jobs. They won't earn these jobs of course, they will be Kommissars for political thought in industries that are male dominated.
Men are dropping out of normal avenues of wealth redistribution so they need to get more women (read consumers) into those jobs by social manipulation.
Now that videos and comics are big money makers, women are going to force their way in, just like every other thing that men built from the ground up, and then proceed to marginalize it into "ho-hum dom". It's why we have to import foreign scientists, military, doctors etc. just to keep the country running.
Yeah, they want the training and education, no, they don't want the actual work, at least not until madison starts going to college (read child support) and the alimony runs out.
MalcolmDrake 10y ago
Exactly this, it boils down to the only thing that rivals/trumps sex as a commodity: Money. I mean, where is the outrage that females make up a small percentage of trading card game players, the homeless population, or oil rig workers, ect.? Because there is either not enough money there or it requires too much skill/hard work.
Yet I do not hear a peep of feminists wanting this sort of "equality". It's all about who can throw the biggest pity party. At this point, I would not be surprised if Time magazine's 2014 person of the year is "The Victim".
87GNX 10y ago
I think the Women In Tech (tm) shit is about the money, but I'm not sure about the comics... I don't see where comics and their properties (e.g. movies) are comparatively more successful now than they were 30 years ago. Christopher Reeves was the original Superman.
No, what I think is that enough people have wised up to feminists' cultural BS that they are intentionally going after betas at this point. Remember, five or seven years ago it was all about frats. Misogyny in frats. Rape in frats. Blah, blah, blah. But the frats didn't knuckle under because the entire heirarchy of a fraternity is based on perceived alpha traits.
So now they're going after the nerds, the kids who wanted to stay in and just enjoy their escapism. And by and large it works, because the nerd girls, the socially awkward bitches, the 4's 5's and 6's who used to provide such loyal companionship for the lesser-SMV guys... they're gullible. They're easily sucked in.
My circle is largely geek/programmer/borderline sperg and I can't tell you how many middling-SMV women I've seen go completely in on Social Justice shit. They've taken our women hostage, basically. And the men are falling into line.
vengefully_yours 10y ago
Ever seen a stunningly beautiful feminist that isn't an actress? Its not going to happen. They have no reason to feel oppressed or victimized, but that tub of lard with tiny tits wants to get the same men the hot chicks do. She can't, so she makes shit up to be offended about.

SomebodyCool 10y ago
Beside the double standard, it's additionally retarded to blast this cover given that it was made by Milo Manara. Manara is famous and famed for drawning extremely beautiful women and for writing and illustrating a great deal of sexual comic books. The dude's entire style revolves around the study and love of the female form (the actual female form, not the landwhale form that SJW want to push as 'normal').
Then again, feminist outrage in comics and video games is always completely ignorant of this kind of stuff as they are not really into it, they are just using it as a target for easy outrage.
gekkozorz 10y ago
Feminist "outrage" at this sort of thing is just another example of the Feminine Imperative in action - all male spaces must be either infiltrated, destroyed, or put under female moderation.
We saw it once before with "she who shall not be named" and the mainstream media's coverage of her "indie game career," (or lack thereof) and we're seeing it now. Find everything men do offensive, demand everyone bow down to our benevolent feminist overlords.
WAFC 10y ago

Shit like this is what happens when feminists are perceived to have the moral high ground by default. They're brainwashed to see misogyny in everything and no one calls them out for fear of being labelled sexist.
Fsoprokon 10y ago
Well, it's coming back around. People are starting to learn the tricks and using the same logic back on their attackers. It was great when the common person couldn't be bothered with thinking and so only saw one side of an argument. Now sensible people have to take time out of their schedules to deal with this nonsense and demonstrate that the reason they did not engage the SJW crowd before was because it was a waste of everybody's time.
redpillbanana 10y ago
Intelligent people like Maddox are starting to challenge the feminists, and when presented with the facts, feminists are losing the debate online. Every time they complain about frivolous misogyny, they drive more and more people to the other side.
This is why /r/MensRights has almost 100k subscribers, /r/TheRedPill has 70k subscribers, and /r/Feminism only has 40k subscribers (though admittedly /r/TwoXChromosomes has nearly 1M subscribers).
Gelo_kinleM 10y ago
/r/TwoXChromosomes is a default subreddit. That is the reason they have so many subscribers.
johngalt1234 10y ago
Now they are pulling the no true scotsman fallacy:
"Fake Feminism
I really don't like that word but for the moment it will suffice. If you are trying to address violence against women, access to birth control, abortion or women's health services, equal pay, human trafficking or similar types of issues then I'd say you support women and women's issues.
If, however, you are trying to address assumed objectification in video games, tv shows, movies, books and fashion magazines then you are an attention whore or a guy who is trying to date a fake feminist. If you actually care about women then shut the fuck up about your own moral superiority and put some time and energy into issues that matter."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CB6TiRJNI-Q
I will be posting a reply to him. See what he thinks.
Heuristics 10y ago
This is not necessarily a fallacy, it depends on if there actually exists a common understanding of what a true scotsman is or not.
johngalt1234 10y ago
We only need to read the mothers of feminism to see if they line up with the feminist orthodoxy.

Nevermind that half of male comic book heroes have physiques to rival Ahnuld in his prime.
The 'seuxalized ideal female physique' is relatively easy for a woman achieve (unless her boobs are small, even then a few thousand bucks and a one-hour operation will cover that), she just has to eat right, and do moderate exercise.
The 'ideal male physique' requires Spartan eating discplinme and a full-time lifting regimen; his whole life has to revolve around achieving it.
Walk into a nightclub or along a beach and you'll see plenty of women who look almost as good as Wonder-Woman, but very few dudes to rival Superman's musculature and heroic jawline (and most who do will be shorter).

Not to mention thousands spent on steroids over the years.
zephyrprime 10y ago
Honestly, the only way to achieve the Arnold physique is roids. Starting around ww2, synthetic steroids started becoming popular among athletes. A lot of the stuff they sell at gnc get's metabolized into steroids once it's in the body. It's effin everywhere among lifters. It just shows the extremes so many men are willing to go to to attain an ideal physical look. Plus there is the immense amount of labor needed to attain that physique too.
Zanford 10y ago
I don't suppose you have any specific products at GNC to recommend along these lines? I wouldn't know how to figure out which ones metabolize into steroids.
logi_thebear 10y ago
Any sources on that GNC stuff? I'm not saying it's bullshit, I'm just curious, but not interested enough to find it.
[deleted]
exit_sandman 10y ago
Yeah, because you have to hit the gym 6 days a week if you want an ideal (aka sprinter) physique without taking steroids.
reigntastic 10y ago
Even with steroids you still have to follow a rigorous lifting regiment as well as consuming 3000-4000 calories a day. It doesn't really diminish the effort required, just improves the results.
zephyrprime 10y ago
Don't put words in my mouth. I would not consider an ideal male physique to be a sprinter's. I meant an arnold-esque or zzyz.
exit_sandman 10y ago
I didn't put words in your mouth, I just gave my personal opinion on this - Arnold looked better than most of his competitors, but personally I consider bodybuilders too bulky, even fake, to be really attractive. In my book, it's sprinters (short distance) who tend to have the best build.
Apostrophe 10y ago
There is no way GNC sells steroids or anything that metabolizes into steroids. That would get them shut down a locked up.
GNC just sells nutritional supplements and vitamins.
zephyrprime 10y ago
The supplement companies produce new synthetic prohormones faster than the government can ban them. The government is slow and doesn't really care either. It's common knowledge.
[deleted] 10y ago
I dont know about GNC specifically, but ive been offered a LOT of over the counter, perfectly legal and legitimate "Supplements" designed specifically to skirt the laws on anabolic steroid control.
Compounds that are not in any way anabolic as dispensed, but are designed to become so once metabolised.
Round here you can walk into any legitimate weight lifters supplement store and buy them. I cant vouch for their effectiveness
Zanford 10y ago
Do you happen to know which products? Color me curious.
[deleted] 10y ago
I'd have to have a ride down to the store, I tend to buy most of my protein and stuff online these days, but they weren't subtly named. Their names were always some steroidy sounding variant. Sustabol or trenavate or shit like that.

How are we supposed to take them seriously? Why do we take them seriously? Because Sarkesian played Super Mario Brothers once when she was 10? Please.
Within the genre of comics, ALL bodies are hyper-sexualized. You'd know that if you'd ever cracked open a mainstream comic. To look at that cover and think there's something out of the ordinary only shows you to be a complete illiterate of the genre. And if that's the case, no, your opinion on the cover doesn't really matter.

Maybe though, if I were a lazy fuck, I'd be jealous of him. A deep kind of jealousy. Fueled by the disparity between my ugly ass body and his. This truth would be impossible for my ego to conceptualize, and it would subconsciously manifest itself as hatred towards the responsible for such perfect body.

Ironically, the group that complains the most about gender inequality is the one that most often refuses to listen to you based on your gender.

What's really annoying is how everyone on /r/videos dismisses this as poor blogging when it's a prime example of feminist bullshit.
redpillbanana 10y ago
Why the heck do they think this is poor blogging? Maddox's videos are great examples of how to convey maximum information in minimum time.

I thought the /r/videos thread was a pleasant surprise, tbh. Some of my recent comments there regarding TRP are actually upvoted at the moment. And that one comment in bold about how modern feminism needs to die has quite a bit of upvotes too. Redditors finally coming to their senses?

Gabe6678 10y ago

Jrix 10y ago
I don't get what's wrong with a double standard here. Female's value largely comes from the sexualization of her body in a way it doesn't with a man and this imagery reflects that.
Is it to reveal the hypocrisy in their desire for "equality"? Because only extreeme feminists take "equality" to such lengths, and the popular news/comments doesn't reflect fringe feminism. They reflect the "equality in some but not all things"... of which there is no real hypocrisy here.
The real problem is trying to hide away from the fact that the value of a woman is largely a result of her desirability to men.
_MrMan_ 10y ago
How about this: Women can make their own comics, video games, and so forth and put whatever the fuck they want in em. If they get people to buy their shit then congrats. Otherwise fuck off.
[deleted] 10y ago
Well that would require work instead of complaining for men to do it for them. The meta shit test of feminism.
NicCageForPresident 10y ago
i cannot upvote this enough
zephyrprime 10y ago
Yes and it's not like men's value is not exploited commercially. Outlandishly high male value is on display in comics to an extreme degree. Heroics, wealth, and looks are on display for male characters in comics all the time.
Jrix 10y ago
But a man's value must be earned, whereas a woman's value is largely tied to her being a woman.
Because there's a large disconnect in what makes a man valuable, and being a man, there's a similarly large disconnect in these values being exploited from men in our culture.
zephyrprime 10y ago
What you say is true. However, since comics and all fictional media are FICTIONAL, in this special case it is possible to exploit male value without anything being earned.
Also, onto a different tangent, how would anyone even make any sort of appealing fiction without exploiting male and female SMV attributes? The story would have to be about an average guy doing average things. A story like that would sell poorly.
I'm just saying that women are always complaining about being exploited in media but the reality is that men are exploited too and it's hard to even conceive of making much pop art without doing so.
I remember people were all complaining about Scarlett Johannson's sexualized pose in the Avenger's poster. It is certainly true that it was sexualized. However, what our stupid feminist brainwashed culture did not realize was that every one of the guys on the poster was sexualized too. It's just that men are not sexualized in the same way as women are. A man's ass and non-existant breast do not have a high sexual market currency value. The guys posing all tough, being violent, and flexing their humongous muscles (in the case of the Hulk, his size is beyond what is even physically possible) ARE being sexualized. Being tough, violent, and muscular are male forms of sexualization.
Gyissan 10y ago
It has been like that since the dawn of modern man.
zlex 10y ago
This reads like some bullshit out of a Sociology 101 class. Value is entirely subjective and our ability to evaluate the value of the things around us, whether it be people, property, investments, or anything under the sun has it's own consequences. Saying that everyone evaluates women based mostly on their physical appearance is far more sexist and prejudice than any piece of art ever drawn.
Jrix 10y ago
Value being subjective is a bit outside the scope of this discussion. Perhaps it is subjective, but it is so with a high degree of "push" from our instincts to the point where many values are ostensibly objective.
Yeah, people evaluate women on their appearance. And yeah, it is more "sexist" than any piece of art; is there a problem with that?
Is there something wrong with prejudice because of a person's gender, when there are virtually undeniable fundamental differences in our biology?
zlex 10y ago
Yes there is. I don't even know why that needs to be explained. There are fundamental cultural differences between wasps and black's, does that s suddenly make being prejudice against black people okay?
