So I was skimming over the front page of Reddit to see if there was anything interesting in the 4 or 5 subs that actually have content and not just full of shit. The science ones tend to be interesting for instance. I also like to have a couple ''Test'' subreddits just to remind myself of the usual crap one sees on the entire site, such as Askreddit for example.
So today we had this gem delivered in a post called ''Women of reddit, what about men baffles you the most?''. The red pill curiosity kicked in automatically and I dived in expecting to see both, bluepill stupidity and the inevitable red pill wisdom handed to the plebs in a silver plate.
Boy, did I ever.
Besides the fact that the two most upvotes answers were regarding men's balls (The female gender at work), one of them talked about how men don't find themselves beautiful or something like that (feel free to check the thread yourselves, I can't link to other subs from here).
So this is what I found that amazed me the most from a guy called kaminohanshin:
Cause no one tells us we're sexy. No one is constantly patting us on the back saying 'you look good as you are!' or telling us 'this looks good on you!' like women get. Rarely do men get much praise for being who they are, especially compared to women. Men look around and see they get no attention for being men, at least not obvious attention like putting up a selfie on FB and suddenly a flood of women tell them they look 'cute'. All media seems to point to one thing: you are worth fuck all unless you ARE someTHING, or you DO something. You are not kaminohanshin, you are 'that guy who saved kittens from a flood', you are 'Kaminohanshin, the CEO'. No one gives a fuck about kaminohanshin, in stories. Its 'the king' or 'the knight' who is important, men who are something or do something. All these guys tend to have something in common: they are powerful, they are in-shape, and they are smart or witty. No one goes on about the hair, they go on about how their arms bulged as they threw that dragon across the room, or how they outsmarted another army and pulled the victory out of the jaws of defeat.
So we assume no one is looking at us for us. We assume everyone is looking at what we DO. What role do we preform in society, or what we have done to make us worth something. The idea that simply being who we are is attractive is just lost to us because all our lives we've been shown we're worth nothing at face value. We have to EARN our right to be 'people'. That's why the random goons are all gunned down are men, and are all nameless and faceless. Because they are, they aren't people because they aren't the big boss or the protagonist, or they have something about them that makes them part of the story. 'The chick', simply being female, makes you a character, in media, its a trope. The men all have to have SOMETHING about them, the nerd, the leader, the asshole anything.
This guy got gold (reddit's Pavlonian conditioning tool) FOUR times, in a thread that was obviously full of women and beta men.
Just goes to show.
EDIT: As of today, the comment in question has over 4 times the gold it had. The guy can now open his own jewelry.
[deleted] 9y ago
That's far from the best, most unintentional RP upvoting in the thread.
The goldmine I found was kicked off with, "When they think they'll be less of a man if they talk about problems/things that bother them."
To which men started to reply
and in reply
and
And a different sub thread from the goldmine.
plenty there

That whole thread is a gold mine, and actually quite insightful from both perspectives.

So is he complaining, or just observing? Cause, yeah. Men gotta do shit to differentiate themselves, from other men. And you can do that, complain about it, or move to another country. look there is me and there is random girl from my class. we both have roughly the same genes thus we look roughly the same given gender differences, we also behave the same for better or worse. we even come from roughly similar upbringings and have the same birth year.
she gets the 9/10 treatment, I get girls talk to me from time to time and start shit testing (I have developed ways to interact with a lot of women without cold approaching based on art positioning and looks), thats it. ok I admit my features (russian) look better on women but still. I wish I had chicks trying to "figure me out" for months at a time like her orbiters.
I wonder though what shell do as she doesn't seem to have studied anything after the army and works as a secretary, are they going to eject her after she hits the wall and there is a surplus of token older women in her office? she isn't stupid and has astronomical smv and RMV however, but she doesn't appear to be able to cash out on it.

Almost every top comment in that post is about dicks or balls, it's very disturbing
RichieFinn 9y ago
Welcome to AskReddit. Go check the hot posts on there at least 75% of them has something to do with masturbation or dicks or tits. Some guys just need to get out more.
bluedrygrass 9y ago
What's disturbing is the total lack of the most basilar knowledge about the male genitals the vast majority of women shows. Things like "where does the penis go when it's not erect"? "How does it fit in the pants?" "How do you not sit on your balls?"
But then we are the clueless ignorant ones.
coffee_and_lumber 9y ago
It's about the same both ways. The difference is that by and large we don't laugh derisively to our friends about our lady "not being able to find it" or whatever the equivalent is.
[deleted] 9y ago
That's most likely misunderstood by them because they surround themselves with men wearing tight skinny jeans.

Same reason you see articles about how fat female models are just as "good" as skinny female models. I've never seen a condemnation of male models for being too skinny or too muscular.

coffee_and_lumber 9y ago
This is always my go to mental comparison when I hear about the wage gap thing. The hardest jobs not only are performed by men, men are attracted to them. It's why I roll my eyes when all these articles are written about "why aren't there more female CEO's?" It's not because women are being prevented from getting to these positions (though I'm sure some feminist can find a couple anecdotal examples to prove me "wrong"). Being the leader of a large company is not something that attracts as many women as men.

[deleted] 9y ago
I like to just think of it more along the lines that women have a default value to society, that is, they can provide new members through child birth. Men have to acquire the skills that make them valuable unless genetically blessed in some inheritable trait like looks. Even a genetically smarter person or superior athlete must work on their skills to reach the top 1%. Women literally just have to make it to child bearing age to be of value.
LukesLikeIt 9y ago
What pisses me off the most is women trying to convince men that everything is ok and what they are doing is 'right' just to make them feel better in that moment. That's their solution to problems, temporary better feels.
M0RKET 9y ago
It's not just that. They also want to limit "alpha-ness" to those who have it naturally (whatever that means). Learning to be alpha is something women typically have an aggressive stance against. So if they see a puss they don't want him to get any ideas, they want him to stay where he is. To them if somebody is a learned alpha - that's cheating and they feel betrayed or whatever. Wusses should stay wusses and be content with their lot in life, according to women. Hence the comforting comments.
coffee_and_lumber 9y ago
I think it's really about hiding effort. Imagine if that same guy leaves town for a few years, then returns, now with a great job, in great shape, dressed in nice clothes, commanding presence, etc. This is a guy who is showing obvious upward movement and I'd argue that he gets more respect.
EDIT: This is an argument for monk mode for sure, and for keeping tight-lipped around women about your swallowing of the pill. Women will make rules for men they disapprove of and excuses for the ones they do, as the saying goes.
PlanB_pedofile 9y ago
it would seem that the dissapearing monk mode gets more responses and command vs regular slow progress. Women want instant results and absence creates the illusion of instant success.
PlanB_pedofile 9y ago
This digs deeper into female culture. I see this a lot on facebook. Women get jealous over other people's success. This is why they body shame and slut shame other women who better themselves or are skinny.
say there's a group of 10 women and they all start out equal. one woman works really hard in the gym to be fit and becomes a model, she has 1 supporter that is envious but encouraging and the other 8 call her slut and anorexic behind her back.

It can all be summed up into one sentence that BP men and women will never understand:
Women are loved for who they are. Men are loved for what they must become.
[deleted]
nicethingyoucanthave 9y ago
You might also have phrased it: "women have value by default; men only have value they earn."
Note that this handily explains the damsel in distress trope that makes feminists so angry. They act like it's patriarchy and male privilege and hatred of women but that is the complete opposite of the truth. The damsel in distress trope is actually an example of women's enormous, unchecked privilege.
See, when a woman is captured, you go and rescue her because she's a woman - even in captivity, she has value. If you tried to have a video game that started with, "some guy you don't know has been captured!" everyone would go, "so??" A captured man has no value.
And this plays out in the real world constantly. ISIS has abducted loads of people, but everyone got up in arms when they abducted some women. There are racial aspects too. A pretty white girl being kidnapped means the whole country comes to a stop.
The feminist response to this, that "no seriously, all this difference and concern and help is actually 'benevolent sexism' and therefore still oppression!" - that is total bullshit.
AFPJ 9y ago
This is said a lot and I also get the feeling that many people think it's somehow unfair or that "women have it better"
The ability to decide your own place in society is perhaps the most valuable gift - a power, even - life has given us.
And with all power comes responsibility. I couldn't imagine becoming irrelevant by age 30, it's fucking terrifying.
semondemon24 9y ago
I would correct to "Men are loved for what they have become" - you're suggesting the love happens before they make it. I would argue that doesn't really matter. Nobody gave a shit about all the powerful men in the world until they became who they are.
[deleted] 8y ago
I disagree.
Watch the look in a woman's eyes when the man she meets tells her that he's in medical school.
eccentricrealist 9y ago
That's a good point. A girl I used to date told me "You know the reason I love you is that I'm proud of who you have become." So yes, who I am but not who I was. Generally, women will always be loved regardless.
DickHeadSummationGuy 9y ago
I disagree. A lot of dudes get pussy because of their potential. They have the basic format of a man who will be 45 with decent network and social value but don't actually have any of that yet. Shit, I'm a shining example. I have a good job, low percentile salary for my age, I've got my own company which isn't profitable yet, and as a result of the aforementioned I have a high SMV. But I'm not actually successful yet (in my eyes). I'm just on the path to it.
[deleted] 9y ago
I'm going to disagree with you. Women choose mates based on potential all the time. There are numerous evolutionary psychology studies proving this. I'm also an example, I don't have much money, and I'm not muscular, but I have have an amazing girlfriend. Amazing in the rp sense. Point is, she knows I will become successful, because she sees my ambition and where I will be when I'm done school.
RedHeimdall 9y ago
They will only go for that potential if and when it is relatively simple to connect the dots and is a pretty safe bet.
For instance, if you are broke right now, but you're a student in medical school, it's easy to connect those dots and see a six figure income a few years down the line.
On the other hand if it's something less tangible, like you are broke right now but you have a solid work ethic and you are very smart, but don't have any concrete prospects, most people treat that kind of potential as basically worthless.
[deleted] 9y ago
At college age, people are all pretty much still in the potential phase. No one has achieved much. At this stage of life it is common for women to choose young men based on future speculation.
Shortly after school, it becomes sink or swim. You will need to achieve something quickly, because soon your competitors will be guys who are stacking up achievements. It's a bitter pill for many men who can't get it together soon enough. All the speculative interest goes away, and women are looking for actual money in the bank. So don't be surprised or disillusioned if your girl swings branches the second a guy whose new start up is getting off the ground shows any interest. (Unless of course, you become that guy.)
Not to say your goals should be based on women's interests but just letting you know that speculative interest goes away after a certain age.
[deleted] 9y ago
Yeah that makes sense. Good tip
semondemon24 9y ago
I don't disagree with you. But I still hold ground on what I wrote. Reason being: she has to do her fucking homework to make that judgement. The only difference now is that she is an investor in the product. And as negative as that sounds...its actually all that a guy could ask for. Because she is probably going to do what she can to make sure you become successful. AKA the girl that makes you a better person.
[deleted] 9y ago
Very true, I see what you mean.
PlebDestroyer 9y ago
I would simply say "Women are born women, boys must work to become men."
bookhockey24 9y ago
Women are born, men are forged.
Syberr 9y ago
Women are born, men are made.
Triglycerine 9y ago
That sounds like a magnificent opening line for a movie.
Deresetese 9y ago
Kinda ironic since we treat women like children. Makes perfect sense on the other hand though.
PlebDestroyer 9y ago
I'm not picking up what you're putting down man.
[deleted] 9y ago
I reckon they're born girls and become women, though few make the transition.
PlebDestroyer 9y ago
What? If you wanted to be more accurate I'd say girls are born then go through puberty to become women. All of them make the transition except those who die or have weird diseases that put off puberty.
[deleted] 9y ago
Overwhelmingly most make the transition. At best a womanhood is defined by her ability to have kids.
bluedrygrass 9y ago
Then still not all make the transition. I don't know why female fertility is always considered automatic. It's far from it. A lot of females are naturally unfertile, or sub-fertile, many other becomes so as consequence of today's women lifestyle.
Even in past, more healthy eras, childbirth was the single major cause of death for a woman. It was usual for men to have 2 or 3 wifes during his life afte one died giving birth.
A lot of females simply doesn't have the correct hips shape, size, hormonal setup and everything else enough to give birth by themself, without medical assistence.
Every woman that have to use c-section would be dead, in the jungle. And the majority of women have c-sections.
Even not having enough breast to lactate is a not so small maternal failure. Natural milk is vital for the child, the simple fact of being naturally lactated confers 6 IQ points in the adulthood.
Not to mention the shitton of allergies that can be avoided by natural lactation.
The majority of women are today unfit to give birth.
[deleted] 9y ago
Many of those problems are inherently related to our modern (neolithic) shit diet. Grains, legumes, refined vegetable oils, pesticides, preservatives, etc. These cause health issues and compromised bone structure. That doesn't mean EVERY hunter gatherer diet was perfect or complete, but many tribes had much better health than westerners today.
CrimsonCapn 9y ago
I think we've derailed here, the point is a woman has value built into her genetics that she inherits simply by going through puberty. Most men have no such built in value. We must earn it through effort and determination.
Syberr 9y ago
About 10% of births require some medical assiatance. 90% of time it would go ok in the jungle.
Moreover not having a family is not that frowned upon nor is adoption. Women don't lose hardly any social atanding from being infertile
PlebDestroyer 9y ago
Let me revise -- a girl becomes a woman by living to reach the age of consent. That is it.
I personally would love to bang a smoking hot infertile women. No more need for condoms. So I don't think it's fertility that makes a woman. Just their fuckability (In modern day society that is).
SplashArtist 9y ago
And I wouldn't have it any other way. Where's the fun in instant gratification? I don't play video games so I can beat it before I even begin. I play because I like to be challenged. Same goes with life. The pure pain and fear you must go through to achieve greatness is worth it. Yes, the juice IS worth the squeeze. Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach him how to fish and he will eat until his last day.
backbayguy 9y ago
Too many young people are like...
[deleted] 9y ago
Lol that may be the funniest gif of all time.
oldredder 9y ago
I precisely want it the other way: the juice has never been worth the squeeze for me and I'm done squeezing. If she's not easy she's worthless to me because the hard ones have never been higher value in the end.
[deleted] 9y ago

oldredder 9y ago
change perspective: no women are ever relationship material so women who are least-dangerous but least-effort are worth a shag here and there.
thebalrog_ofmorgoth 9y ago
Too true. It's a perplexing and annoying paradox.
[deleted]
SplashArtist 9y ago
I'm talking about life in general.
oldredder 9y ago
That is a little different. Life outside of women is filled with tricks to get you to expend effort & get nothing, but outside of camouflaged insects/animals and women, the risk is usually not quite that bad.
Watch out for those fucking stock markets though: they are just as treacherous, rigged & dishonest as the worst women.
PlebDestroyer 9y ago
Yes, I agree, there is a certain beauty in it all.
SplashArtist 9y ago
Indeed, its very beautiful. Obviously that beauty is hard to see right when you are in the thick of it. But on the other side, you can appreciate the good that much more because you know what you've had to go through to get to it. I don't know any other way to build core confidence and happiness then hard work and determination.
oldredder 9y ago
I know the other way: it's on your own with no women in your life. Build what you can & must with only your self-driven motivation and you realize you're a far more powerful human being than you would be with a woman whipping you into it with nagging, shit-tests and offering pussy to keep you coming back.
GuidoBandito 9y ago
Sex is like snow. You never know when it will happen or how much you'll get. And sometimes you just want it to go away because it's now too ugly to enjoy.
Pussy should be THE prize. It should never be a consolation prize.
oldredder 9y ago
no, the man should be the prize and the bitch should be happy she got him.
When pussy is the prize the man is a slave/addict and of low value.
That's the core of how/why women are winning over men in gains of life, resources, time, everything: men are reducing their value in life in every dimension, every measure, to make pussy the prize. Women, knowing this, then use this to step all over men and offer just enough pussy the men keep falling for it.
Let's be smart and stop falling for it. Women need dick, women need to be dominated, women need to feel they earned what they get, so men need to act the prize and not treat the woman or her pussy as the prize ever again.

That comment now has 12x gold and a comment saying essentially "I agree" also got gold. How do people still not really get it
[deleted] 9y ago
For the most part, people only want to hear what they want to hear. Not the truth. They'll go to great extents just to hear one person validate their opinion or feeling.
For example: If you search something like "What game console is better? Xbox or Playstation" and you all ready have a bias toward the playstation. You'll wind up with the playstation..
There's going to be someone out there who says "Oh man, xbox sucks go with the playstation" even if it's commonly agreed upon by the majority that xbox is actually better.
Just like with beta males. There's always going to be people out there who say "Just tell her how you really feel!" "Have you tried couples therapy?" "You don't want to go to the gym! Girls don't really like muscles, that's just a myth!" "My boyfriend cried and it made our relationship better!"
Or how about the BP men who go on /r/relationships talking about their whore wife who got her throat damaged by 8 dicks at the bachelorette party and then say "well I guess it's okay cause we weren't officially married yet". They're just looking for someone to say "No it's okay your relationship is salvageable, just be a good nice boy and trust her".
People are going to only listen to the answers that they want to hear.
_bluerabbit_ 9y ago
Truth is hard to accept, it needs to be sugar coated because reality isn't a nice place.
SunshineBlotters 9y ago
Can you give a link to the comment by hitting "context" and copying the url since OP couldnt.
[deleted] 9y ago
Because they are all told that this subreddit is the devil and that it advocates misogyny and encourages all sorts of bad behavior. I wager that 80-90% of the people who say all those things about TRP have never visited TRP except where one particular post was linked.
It would come as no surprise that most people just rattle off the same thing they hear about TRP a million times and never come here by themselves to see the truth and if they do so it would be with the pure intent to find negativity.
munky82 9y ago
In a recent AskHamsters thread (it is discussed in another thread on TRP) somebody said that TRP promotes corrective rape, when I asked for evidence (so I can report that idiot to mods...): "I don't have the time to go into TRP but here is an example" with a link to an obvious troll on PurplePillDebate (which was downvoted anyway). Hamsters gonna hamster.

In all fairness half of the stuff on this sub is from people whom it could be argued are still in the "anger phase" and can pretty much be dismissed as such. So it is understandable that an outsider would come here and only see what they want to see to go along with their own viewpoint. And this sub gives them plenty of ammo regardless of how great some of the content is.
[deleted] 9y ago
Yes, too many faux RPers. Hell I almost wish people couldn't vote here until they've somehow been verified, but i guses that's not realistic. Too much beta bitching goes on in this sub, and I've seen a lot of good content get downvoted bc sometimes the bitterness of the pill strikes close to home.

CryptoManbeard 9y ago
If you came here with your mind made up, you would get the validation you need. See, when you read threads you disregard the dumbass comments, and take things with a grain of salt (eg the guys who are in the anger phase and spewing women hate). Someone who doesn't want to swallow the pill will use that as evidence that we are all misogynists.

We're Patriarchy Devil Jihadis!
:)
bitches_be_crazy86 9y ago
I am so going to scream Allah Akbar when I cum.
[deleted] 9y ago
I've recently swallowed the pill, and in all honesty, TRP does come off as misogynist, at first I lurked /r/seduction a lot, and /r/theredpill seemed to be just like feminists at that moment tbh.
Don't get me wrong, once I understood the essence of TRP, then I realized most of the "misogynist" posts were actually rants/anger phase posts, but that doesn't change the fact that you have to browse for a while until you understand it's not about blaming, but about self appreciation and self improvement.
[deleted] 9y ago
Mods, is there any way to block/delete a good amount of the generic gender hate, anger phase crap that distracts from the more pithy insight, and easily infects many new members?
I have to agree with throw_em_all. When I first came here it was something I noticed immediately. And any time I tell someone about this sub, I ALWAYS qualify it by saying that even tho there's a lot of great stuff here, there's also a good bit of angry whiners just mad at women and somewhat mysogynistic. You know who you are.
NikoMyshkin 9y ago
this was exactly my process too. it took me a while to realise that TRP isn't at all about misogyny. it's about figuring out how to have a relationship that satisfies you and your partner.
PlanB_pedofile 9y ago
I found /r/seduction to be more manipulative than trp. At least here we discuss and teach the basic nature of women and to navigate the real world where r/seduction seems to talk about faking till you make it and PUA plays.
rlh1271 9y ago
/r/seduction has turned into shit. There was a guy in there last week trying to convince other people and himself that the friend zone was a "gift."
[deleted] 9y ago
Oh totally, from my point of view women are involved in both, but in one they're the goal, while in the other they're a by-product of working towards the goal.
agentsmolder 9y ago
Their loss. I find this subreddit to be something close to the environment Socrates and other philosophical men would create around them in those days, seriously. Even down to saboteurs without humility who would maybe feel insulted at the very presence of such a group of individuals, who we nowadays refer to as "trolls".
70-80% of the discussion generally concerning truths about the nature and psyche of a woman, but sometimes you get some absolutely life altering truths here.
[deleted] 9y ago
What a fantastic way to look at the culture we have. Socrates was a soldier, a philosopher and a stoic who sought deeper truths. He'd fit right in here.
PlanB_pedofile 9y ago
and with such truths society forced him to drink poison.
Comes to show that if you're pissing people off, chances are you're doing something right.

You're describing the "circle jerk" phenomenon that we all know runs rampant on Reddit. It's common to see "Why is this TRP place so terrible? Never visited and actually curious." followed by the standard slightly reworded vitriol that was 100% gathered from the responses to the same question in an earlier thread. You'll never see the true answer-- "Because it gets you easy karma."

Same. I found this sub over the weekend with it being advertised as a misgoynistic hate subreddit in an ask reddit thread. With the person making these claims being an obvious hugbox man-feminist, I investigated. I'm still here.

Fine with me. The success of a Red Piller depends on a capitalist mentality. If the rest of society catches on, we'll all be doing the same shit.

Welcome... I present the internet.
Seriously, I'm sure that you are not going to have a hard time trolling here.
Generally the people here are going through or have gone through a really traumatic realignment from one societal viewpoint to another. They are angry. They are sad and coping. They do stupid things and act hypocritically, like blaming the CC and being the CC at the same time.
Because they are coping they are vulnerable.
I bet I could troll really well by shutting down the elevator at a sports injury treatment center. Watching those guys try to go up the stairs on crutches would be Hi-larious. And when that guy falls down and has to crawl to get his stuff together, Classic!
This is a recovery ward as well as a locker room. If being a douche is what you want to do for fun, you'll find a lot of targets here for your hobby.

Same as the line between 'creepy' and 'romantic'.
If Ryan Gosling does it, it's romantic.
If the thirsty, sweaty, awkward guy who apologises profusely does it, it's creepy.
It's all about pre-selection and status.

Imagine how awesome your day would be if people were always smiling at you, holding your doors open for you, offering to pay for your coffee n'shit, just for fucking showing up.
I'd pay 23% in gender tax for that kind of regular treatment, no doubt.
Redrog1 9y ago
I don't know if I'd like that. Imagine how complacent you would get.
Imagine how little pressure you would have suffered in life and therefore how your though paths would have developed. Imagine how addicted to that validation you'd be. Etc...
Sure it sucks when you have to go through it, but at the same time there is something freeing in knowing you went through it.
johnn2015 9y ago
Only if you're an attractive female. Most females actually are not that attractive.
[deleted] 9y ago
Women aren't paid 77% of what men are paid for the same work. All women, on average, make 77% of what all men make (supposedly, although there are substantial reasons to doubt that figure), on average, without controlling for different career choices, time taken for maternity leave, education, etc. Once you control for those things, the "pay gap" is not much greater than rounding error.
semondemon24 9y ago
And dont forget, that 23% pays off when you can gold dig
Red_August 9y ago
And even though the wages are very similar, women account for about 70% of all spending. Sure, there's shared household stuff in there. but at the end of the day - they might actually be 'earning' more if you look at it more holistically.
[deleted]
68461674897051454980 9y ago
it would get pretty boring. You have to be really simple minded to find it cool after a while. Even if you have achieved something and now have some money, it's really repetitive and annoying when people just are nicer to you or want to be your friend because they know you've got some money
I think it's something in us guys where we don't really value attention/friendship/etc unless we feel we have actually deserved it, where as women are fine with that. Like if someone told you that you 'did a great job' on something, and you know you didn't, we can't really enjoy that. At least those of us that haven't succumbed to beta mental conditioning
[deleted] 9y ago
[deleted]
newls 9y ago
That's a fundamental difference between men and women. When you want to carry on improving and strive to be the best at something, women and weak men will ask 'Don't you feel good enough as you are?' which completely misses the point and shows they don't understand our motivations.
As men we relish creating new challenges for ourselves and beating them. It's about being the best, the King of our chosen field. We are grateful for a hard life because it forces us to sharpen and improve.
[deleted] 9y ago
It would neither be boring nor exciting, it would just be. It would be your reality, just like how the wind blows leaves, it would become a regular part of your day. It would be as noticed as a fish notices water.

AugmentedFury 9y ago
The whole 77% gender wage gap myth was pulled out of someones ass.
CryptoManbeard 9y ago
It's not pulled out of an ass, it's a faulty premise. 77% is the number if you divide the average female salary by the average male salary. The pulled out of an ass part is calling that figure equal pay for equal work.
LancerKagato 9y ago
in the narrow spectrum, mid twentys to mid thirties women on average make 8% more than males of that age group in the same job.
CryptoManbeard 9y ago
Then you also have to factor for previous experience, vacation, and overtime. I've read that when you account for all that it is anywhere from 7% for women to positive for women. On average men work more overtime and take less vacation days.
Anecdotally the women I know in my office and in my social circle are bad at asking for raises and promotions. You can't really fault employers for that. That being said, if one could save 7% by simply hiring only females, it would be a pretty lucrative arbitrage opportunity, so I really doubt the gap is that high.
[deleted] 9y ago
muh' 7000 percent anus gap
ghost_of_crazytrpr 9y ago
Who cares, If I make 23% more then I deserve 23% and make no excuses about it.
waylandertheslayer 9y ago
The numbers are right, it's just that they don't mean anything. Women work less than men and men are much more likely to die in the workplace. Men are more likely to work high-paying fields like STEM instead of childcare. There's more to it, but that's the core of the matter
newls 9y ago
People who wave it about don't understand that women tend to work part-time far more often, and go on maternity leave.
Women also tend to leave difficult jobs sooner than men and leave the workforce altogether after getting married and having kids.
Men also tend to earn more (≠ getting paid) by doing more overtime, starting businesses, and doing more difficult jobs and sticking to them.
Men gain satisfaction from doing challenging and exciting work that they passionately enjoy, whereas women feel no evolutionary incentive to do so. Women literally stop seeing the point of hard work and feel fundamentally empty until they find a strong man to have their children with. That's why you see and read so many stories about childless female execs crying in their cars and in the office.
User-31f64a4e 9y ago
The highest paying professions are all dominated by men.
Low paying jobs that may be more satisfying, like nurse, are often dominated by women.
And all the other stuff you said.
[deleted] 9y ago
and the lowest paying jobs like field work and heavy warehouse work are dominated by men.
newls 9y ago
People look at that 'statistic' and infer that women earn less than men for the same work, which is utter nonsense. No business in the western world pays men and women differently for the same work.
Men earn more money than women. And there is absolutely nothing wrong about that.
There has been equality of opportunity for both sexes for years now. In fact a recent six year study showed that women are favoured over men 2:1 for STEM jobs. Two to one! So they can't fucking say there's no equality.
In any case there are government-funded groups and charities aimed at giving funding to businesses run by women. So based only on the fact that you were born with a vagina, people will rally around to make sure your business succeeds.
And women are still significantly over-represented at universities, but there are still government-funded groups and charities solely aimed at getting more women into university.
Cyralea 9y ago
Of course, if a business could shave up to 20% off their payroll expenses by hiring women, you better believe that's exactly what they'd do. Men would struggle to get employed anywhere.
The people pushing the pay gap canard are incapable of logic, however. You really can't expect them to not to hamster their reality.
newls 9y ago
Or if anyone brings it up, ask them to name one woman they know who's paid less solely because she's female.
User-31f64a4e 9y ago
I agree with you, but I have to make one little note.
The 2:1 preference was in University, for teaching STEM.
Out here in the real world, people staffing experienced jobs are looking for "Rock Star Coders", without particular regard to the configuration of one's sexy bits.
For school leavers (fresh outs), there is a preference for women. With these jobs the people have education but no experience - there is no track record to examine. Might as well make the quota nazis happy. Later on, this all sorts itself out.
So sure, academia is biased. In Engineering they are the tail, not the dog. For pure science I guess this is a problem, especially with the precipitous general decline in corporate blue-sky R&D spending over the last 40 years. Bell Labs as such, Xerox Parc, GE R&D Center - whatever is left of these is much more product focused. So for pure science, I suppose (outside of Biology) it's mostly in Universities, which are utterly female biased.
newls 9y ago
Yep academia is pretty far gone as fair as political correctness goes. You only have to browse academia.stackexchange.com for a few minutes to see all the blue pill spineless questions being asked. They're obsessed with protocol.
User-31f64a4e 9y ago
Does the obsession with protocol apply across the board, or is it weaker in evidence based disciplines?
Is it more pronounced in soft sciences than hard sciences?
I ask because in completely subjective fields, there is no way to overcome protocol with actual reality. In the sciences however, proof is proof. The harder the science, I suspect that the more that is the case.
Experiments in physics may be more definitive that experiments in the social sciences. Michaelson Morely disproves the ether, period. Groundbreaking experiments in social sciences like Milgram (administration of shocks), Harlow (wire monkeys) and the Stanford Prison Experiment conclusively show ... something. Interpretation is still required. Millikan (charge on an electron), Joule (conservation of energy) and Galileo require no further analysis - their famous experiments clearly shows what they show.
newls 9y ago
Academia is funded, so it doesn't need to run a profit (per se) to operate. For that reason it isn't really 'in the real world', compared to businesses that have to just get on with things. Think of businesses as men and universities as women in society (no doubt making broad sweeping generalities to make a point here).
MattyAnon Admin 9y ago
They pay 1-2% in gender tax. the 70 cents on the dollar is a myth.
But people always smiling at me and holding doors open for me would totally piss me off.
Bortasz 9y ago
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDj_bN0L8XM It's close to 7% and it is mostly thanks to fact that women less negotiate raise.
PookIsLovePookIsLife 9y ago
I've heard 5% as the actual figure. Either way, far from 23%.
krazybone550 9y ago
You're right about the pay gap being way off the correct number. I still would take a reduction in pay to get away with the things women can in society.
User-31f64a4e 9y ago
The "wage gap" has been debunked too many times to link. Just look on youtube, you'll find a dozen quality treatments.
Often, when bullshit is filtered out and we look at the same hours and same job, there is a miniscule gap (on the order of 3 or 4%.)
Some of this is women lacking the aggression and courage to negotiate properly.
Another factor could be mens greater average IQ. Thorium just did a youtube showing the study with more very smart and very dumb men, but women slightly higher on average ... comes from a study of HS kids in one age range where women have developed their (smaller) brains sooner.
It is also possible that mens lack of entitlement causes behavioral differences which account for the very tiny wage gap of a couple percent.
It is also possible that men work harder.
There are a lot of possible reasons for a 1% - 4% pay difference. Discrimination is hardly a given.
MattyAnon Admin 9y ago
As a comedian once said.... the pay gap (if it exists) is danger money for being a guy ;)

Bill Burr said in a stand up routine, "Men get paid more because if the ship is going down, for some reason we have to stay behind while you get to leave" (paraphrasing)
MattyAnon Admin 9y ago
Technically we don't have to stay behind. This concept does not exist in international law. It HAS been enacted (eg Titanic), but it's not expected nor the law (regardless of what solipsistic women will tell you)

Im glad I'm a white male in America for various reasons, one of them being not ever having to deal with anyone I don't want to generally. Being ogled at by upwards of 95% of people would fucking suck. Nearly all men who just want to fuck you, and nearly all women that hate you. That includes the fucking super creepy men that act hyper sketchy. I've seen that happen first hand by someone who didn't think I noticed. Myself and three women walk by this guy sitting on a bench all alone. And as the girls pass he holds up a badge and points it at them, and follows the then puts it away. They didn't noticed it, and he wanted it that way, and for what ever reason I could tell he wasn't up to nothing. Intuition probably.. But he was a fucking weirdo.
That kind of shit probably happens to women fairly frequently. That's not a good feeling, especially when even the "nice" guys act fucking weird as shit bc their awkward or nervous. Or the fake nice guys that act that way so women become vulnerable so it's easier to fuck them.
Yeah I'll open my own doors, pay for my own food, never get praise for showing up, and not have to deal with people, thanks.
Red_August 9y ago
Sure. But don't you think this sounds like a multi-millionaire celebrity complaining about autographs, and the paparazzi? Woe be me.
The white western woman today is by default, and by far, the most protected, spoiled, successful (in their biology), and fortunate group in the history of mankind, and across all species on earth.
Spacemage 9y ago
The difference is that paparazzi aren't dangerous. You have a general sense of their limits and what to expect. Badge Bench guy could have wanted to anything. My first thought was he's working on building the confidence and skills to impersonate a police officer so he can do shitty things. Multi millionaires by in large don't have to worry about that. I see what you're saying, though for sure.
I think what it comes down to is white girl pussy is typically the gold standard for sex. Regardless of it's due to media, economy, or genetics, it's protected because we don't just let anyone go around rubbing their grubby paws on diamonds and gold. You protect value, or else your product is worthless. (hopefully that made sense.)
[deleted] 9y ago
You're right. Don't take any heed of the down votes you get on this sub, so many men here think that being an attractive woman is just life on easy street when in reality there is a real threat of violence that they must deal with in almost all interactions with men and I can imagine it would be absolutely demoralizing.
Good for you, man. You're a good human.
Red_August 9y ago
But the problem with your statement is that the actual statistics absolutely do not support your claim. Yes, there is common violence towards both genders, yes there is gender-specific violence. But at the end of the day, men suffer from violence significantly more than women. I haven't even touched occupational safety concerns, general health provision concerns, and what not. If you're going to protest violence against people in general - I support you. I'll support you for decrying gender specific violence - none of it is good. But what you are doing is saying women are the ultimate victims, in relative terms.
You are repeating a common fallacy instigated by the Feminist Imperative. You actually believe this to be true.
Listening to people talk about date rape drugs, for example, you would think it's an actual epidemic. Fear is rampant. Studies have found extremely low rates (0 to 2% of suspected cases UK/US were true. Few suspected cases to begin with) of usage of sedative or disinhibiting drugs of any kind - assuming they weren't self-administered in the first place. Most were simply too drunk or stoned and thought they had been drugged.
Look up the real numbers on domestic violence - you will be surprised to find which groups are most affected: lesbian couples are by far the most affected, then further down we have man on woman violence, and woman on man violence statistically equivalent (a cross-study), then slightly below, gay man on gay man violence. Again, what is being repeated and propagandised is not a reflection on reality. There are barely any shelters for men. How's that possible then? Because people like you do not see what is really happening. You drank the kool-aid.
You need to question who stands to benefit from such false information. Who is the most supported. Think of the cottage industry: the charities who survive on perpetuating exaggerated numbers. Who is the most protected gender? Do not read this as a rant, and I do not support any violence - but you need to get your facts straight in order to open your eyes to how things really are.
Spacemage 9y ago
I don't think there's a date rape drug epidemic. I know more men get beat by their spouses than women do. I know how things really are.
They really are a bit scary for women. They're surrounded by proverbial monsters all day in general. I find myself even looking at women going, yeah I'd fuck her. Oh she was nice, yeah she wants to fuck.
That's a hostile environment for people who don't want to fuck. That's the reality. I'm all for true equality, no one is rightfully better than anyone else. No one should get hit or anything like that. But it happens. Sure it happens to men more than women, but less people want to fuck them based on the fact that their men.
I'll come up with an analogy for that last part on a bit.
[deleted] 9y ago
Yeah, women are generally smaller and physically weaker than men, so even if they are nice guys that don't rape they still can overpower a woman and I can imagine that knowing this is scary.
[deleted] 9y ago
[deleted]
[deleted] 9y ago
Attractive women know that men want to fuck them desperately, and men are typically larger and more aggressive than females, then add to that the fact that most men are strangers to this woman and hey presto you have a fuck tonne of reasons to not trust men and be paranoid about them.
I want you to imagine walking around an enclosure of nothing but silverback gorillas that want to fuck you. Most of the time these gorillas are nice, they give you bananas and they groom you of lice from time to time.
Just imagine what it feels like to be surrounded by physically dominant creatures that want to put their dicks inside you and care for little else.
If it doesn't make you uncomfortable, that's fine, I won't kink shame.

women are applauded for what they are, men are applauded for what they do. My dad taught me that a long time ago. He (traveled alot in his youth) he also mentioned this is an American invention. Other countries have a similar yet different balance of these things. Especially Latin (spanish speaking) countries and parts of Europe.
IoSonCalaf 9y ago
That's very interesting. Can you elaborate? I'm curious about the differences you mention.
Johndoesmith67 9y ago
In places like South America and Mexico and Brazil. Women are socially constructed to bend towards men. They know THEY are the accent characters to a mans life an not the other way around. They are submissive...BY CHOICE and by their social norms and upbringing. Play with American women. Marry a Latin American one.
denmaur 9y ago
The parents of one of my ex's are from South America. When he drives up after work and blows his car horn, she rushes to put his food on the table and opens the front door for him. When he walks in, she's right there to greet him.
I'd love to find one like that.

TRP is not only about relation with woman. This is rather a life philosophy of mastering yourself. Facing the truth and embracing it.
I have read a lot of books about self improvement and the basic ideas are EXACTLY the same as TRP.
That is why I have clear disction between guys here who are focusing on seducing and fucking as many as they can and the TRP guys, who are (in my opinion) more than that.
coffee_and_lumber 9y ago
If fucking women were not such a prime directive for men, TRP would still exist, though likely in some other form.

ButtPuppett 9y ago
You get gold for enlightening us with this post
[deleted] 9y ago
I believe you mean pavlovian.
Traumjager 9y ago
You are aware, that this is a major topic for feminism? So I am not sure how you all see this as "Red Pill", to be honest. The attempt to break up social structures and to look beyond the limits society tries to give us. The success or futility of such an attempt is another topic entirely, but it is quite ironic.
"Red Pill" - more often than not - seems to simply mean that you embrace the current social dynamics. How is it "alpha" to only be able to feel a sense of being at peace with yourself, when you submit to the system and buy into the whole "I have to be someTHING"-mentality.
How is "red pill" somehow always more about appearing alpha, than about actually being above it. Because the first does not imply that you actually are what you call alpha for a long shot. If you feel the need to prove yourself you are not at the top, but just one of the people that so many of you seem to despise so much.
People who seem to feel the need to prove to the world, that they are above everyone else only give off a vibe of having to prove to themselves that they are worth anything and that this is the only way they know how to.
Dnile1000BC 9y ago
I don't think so. If it was, why do feminists continue to push legislative, policy and educational barriers for men just for being men? Feminism is a lie perpetuated to deceive men into taking the blue pill.
Traumjager 9y ago
Such a simplistic black and white view. How nice.
Anyways... regardless of how you see feminism... it is still a major topic.
cocaine_face 9y ago
Because you're one person out of 7 billion people and billions of years of evolutionary history.
And because of both evolution and the social dynamics we were raised with, we enjoy success. Our body literally has reward systems built in to reward social, sexual and resource acquisition success. It's not about "proving yourself" - i.e. getting validation from other people. It's about achieving meaningful success as we, as individuals define it (which, as mentioned, DOES tie in to systems we were taught and ones that are evolved - but, so?)
Alpha is just a conceptual tool. If you're thinking in terms of, "what is alpha", you're doing it wrong. I think most experienced Redpillers would agree.
Traumjager 9y ago
Well, I am not striving to be alpha in any way, so depending on your point of view I am either doing it completely wrong or completely right.
Of course social dynamics are an important role and you are right with bodily reward systems regarding social and sexual success, but not necessarily regarding resource acquisition. These are a secondary effect stemming purely from social dynamics. Depending on the social circles we choose there is a wide range of values that improves your social standing apart from the mainstream idea of having to accumulate as many resources as possible.
Cyralea 9y ago
'Alpha' is synonymous with success, not indifference. Deciding to opt out of the game is still a strategy, albeit a losing one.
You can be the guy who refuses to shoot a hoop or LeBron James.
Traumjager 9y ago
"A losing one"... depends on which game you are playing. When you think basketball is the world, then every alternative is losing, that's right. But one could also recognize, that there is more than one game being played. What game are you playing?
Cyralea 9y ago
Same one everyone else is playing. Making up your own game and setting the rules in your favour doesn't make you a winner in anyone's eyes.
Traumjager 9y ago
I don't know which game you are talking about. There isn't just the one. The game to find happiness? Love? Riches? Respect?
There is no one game. Just because the majority of people seems to buy into having to earn as much money as possible and to get as many things as possible, doesn't mean that you can't realize that you can be just as happy being satisfied with less material things and concentrating on whatever else allows them to tolerate their existence. Do you really believe that life has so little complexity to offer, that there is just one game, one goal?
And why would you feel the need to be a winner in anyone elses eyes but your own?
Cyralea 9y ago
This is a sexual strategy sub, so the game I speak about is Game, sexual courtship. Saying you don't need to play is the same thing as losing the game.
Happiness is a personal thing. Everyone has their own definition for what makes them happy. The means to each end is in playing the necessary game. You want to be rich, that's a game of its own. You want to be respected, yet another game.
