I am 5 foot 9 and 93kg. I decided to try a new look and just got some expensive clippers and went over my head like 6 times and as a result now look like that guy from prison break back in late 2000's. I like it heaps cause the practicality of it. Just wake up and bam hair is done.
But yeah I seem to get confused looks from people now, especially friends and their gf's. Had one guy at my campus say I look intimidating and then that evening a friends gf told me that I look like a convict. Then seen a few other girls in class looking at my head a few times and generally more attention from women in simple interactions like cashiers.
Short hair + lean muscles = tingles?
Might shave my balls next.

93kg lean muscles at 5’9? You wot mate.
You look like the guy off prison break after seventeen meatball subs.
In all honesty, though, buzz cut can make you look like a bad boy, which is good. Never go past a number 2 myself

you are not 93 kg lean at 5'9

I used to have long hair. 6 foot and enough bulk to look as if I have muscle. I moved to a rougher area. Fist fights with the neighbours rough.
Long hair doesn't go with fighting so I cut it short. With my hair too short to grab, I got less shit from the scallies. Didn't have another fight in the remaining 2 years I was there.
With long hair, people can think, often wrongly, that you will back off from a fight. With short hair, you look as if you might be able to handle yourself and get the benefit of the doubt.

Looool. I'm 5'8 at 70kg and I'm pretty lean. Dunno how you're lean at 93kg, doesnt seem real.

Men that look intimidating look more attractive tho. If you like it then keep it. I’m sure it looks great lol
Terdmuffin 5y ago
Because you used to look like a chick and now you look like a man. People are legit not used to seeing you look like a man.
jy432 5y ago
Yep. Used to have thin, stringy, hippie hair myself almost down to my belly button. Fucking cringe... i havent had a buzz cut in like a yr though. They do look good
WindIsMyMusic 5y ago
Long hair works if it's super-fine lion-like with a helluva volume, or if it's dreadlocks. If it's just long, with no volume, cut it.
Above applies to guys, obviously.
RedSkeller 5y ago
I've gone between short and long hair as well. When I have short hair I notice I get attention from a different crowd than with longer hair. Longer tends to bring out the drug/hippie/hipster/band chasers. Short the conservative blondes. It's all about your image and what you're comfortable with.
AUSTRALIAN_001 5y ago
That's it man. I didn't expect any sort of noticeable reaction from others apart from "oh hey, new haircut" but ended up with this kind of intense double taking from a lot of people like I'm fixing to let my toxic masculinity out lmao. I am super comfortable with this and someone pointed out above that is probably goes against social norms but whatever.

Depends how short it is. Is it this short?

Im 5’8 80kg at 8%bf and look very intimidating with shaved or short hair and when i smile and show im not out to murder them they get even more tingles. The combination of looking really scary while also able to be warm is top tier tingles for women. It rubs them in both the ways they want most of the time

80kg at 5'8 is pretty bulky

Hm not really. This is me at 90kg https://i.imgur.com/CMCiUXz.jpg
Edit: ment that im quite lean now and not that bulky

1. Law 45: Preach the need for change but never reform too much at once
2. Short hair shows intent. You long haired whites come off like hippy pussyos
3. The fact that you look more intimidating speaks to a woman's need for danger and mystery. Watch what they do, not what they say.

I know the feeling bro, i got thinning i am 46, last year i shaved my head bald (man that does not fit me one bit) and i am close to 6 feet tall and 230 pounds, been hitting the gym for 33y.
I went to the grocery store and i was carrying eggs i was going through the isles, and this women looked at me like i was super scary and changed isles.
Then i got told many times that i look scary and intimidating with my hair cut that short even a buzz cut....

I let my hair grow a bit, but at some point we need to let it go, i tried fina, dut and minox and got serious side effect.

Damn this is interesting, been thinking about cutting my long hair myself. Is the goal to look intimidating though..?
AUSTRALIAN_001 5y ago
Nah man not at all. I do like the attention women give me now though. But bottom line is practicality. I just wake up and it's done, no more fussing like a chick to get my hair just right for the day.

Been shaving my head since 20, could never be bothered having hair again.
lampshade2818 5y ago
Sorry for the receding hair line. I had several friends in college trying Propecia, Rogaine, etc. Most just ended up going with full shave.
PossiblyBreathing 5y ago
Propecia works longterm. I was balding by 22/23, now at 32 I have a full head of hair. Every male in my family is bald (not by choice)
mightyquinn478 5y ago
Small world my dude, just did the shave myself a couple days back and have experienced everything you said as well. I imagine your friends are put off and chicks are paying more attention just because it goes against social norms for young folk.
extremelyfuckingsad 5y ago
So I wasn’t imagining it! When I shaved my head the amount of girls who would randomly chat me up in the grocery store and whatnot skyrocketed, and I simultaneously got lots of “nervous” looks too from all sorts of people. I’m in my twenties. Very interesting.
AUSTRALIAN_001 5y ago
It is real. I am currently living this haha. I was thinking a little too much into it earlier cause at the gym there were heaps of people who I regularly see there (not friends but just regulars) staring at me and shit and I was thinking wtf can you not, like bruh it's just hair, I once had it long and now it is not. Like get over it hey, I am not going to rob or rape you.
extremelyfuckingsad 5y ago
embrace it, man. i used to go to absurd lengths to make myself appear less intimidating because even without a shaved head i come across that way a lot, but then i realized that you really don’t have to take responsibility for the way others react to your presence, and to be honest having a demanding presence is going to be a good thing for most aspects of your life. be intimidating! if you’re a nice person, which it seems like you are, then it only accentuates that
Is_this_offensive 5y ago
Happened to me too, the exact same shit that you describe in this thread.
What worked really nice for me is wearing clothes that are just a touch more formal than usual, like business shirts and the like. Keep that wild side but hint at people that you are civilized. In my experience, doing so you get the best of two worlds (girl attraction + not everybody being irrationally so hesitant / afraid).
You're like a wild beast under civilized clothes.
