I saw a post on TRP about a week ago recommending development of the neck for better aesthetic returns. I have to say I like the idea but it seems like a high risk, high reward kind of workout. I've been looking into it myself, but I'd like to consult the more experienced people here as well.
What are the best and safest ways to build up muscularity in the neck for people who have never really worked that muscle group before?

front squats, lowbar squats, deadlifts and heavy rowing

When I finish a BP set I slide myself up the bench until my head is hanging off the end and do 12 unweighted neck curls.

That'd be pretty easy to integrate into my routine and sounds like a good way to start. Thanks.

Search alphadestiny on YouTube. Everything you need to know about neck/trap work can be found on his channel.

I've mostly been hitting my traps via pull ups and farmers walks. What exercises have you seen the most progress with?

Deadlifts

Buy a neck harness, just bought one and they are awesome.
But you could also do it with a hat and a weight on your forehead (or back of the head for reverse ones). Theres vidwoa on youtube, think it was alphadestiny (or he was on omarisuf channel), you'll probably find it if you search.
I think unweighted are too light, but you might start with it. In the video there are wrestlings exercises for the neck also, if you want to progress with bodyweight
