I've been to all these cities and the girls in the hostels will most likely be getting wasted and looking to fuck. However, if you do not partake in the current social structure, then it will be difficult to hook up with girls. All the cities are awesome though, I recommend exploring and seeing as much as you can.

Sure depends on what you're looking for. I liked both the party scene and the historical tourist stuff. My biggest tip for everywhere is to WALK. Just walk around the whole city and you will find a ton of stuff that can only be found by exploring.
Amsterdam- red light district is cool, also recommend the magic truffles in a park unless thats not your thing. There's also the Anne frank house and a couple other things.
London- go see all the tourist stuff. The underground is really easy to use so I would recommend using that for getting around.
Dublin - really cool bar scene in temple bar area. I recommend staying in a hostel nearby. I forget the name but there is a cool jail that you can go see where they will tell you all about the Easter Rebellion and all the history that took place there. Edit: Kilmainham Gaol.
Paris- Eiffel Tower, definitely go to local food places and enjoy the food there.
Berlin- only spent a day there and I took a tour so cannot really recommend anything.
If your trip isn't planned I would highly recommend checking out Galway, Rome, Budapest, Barcelona, and Copenhagen. Also any of the Greek islands.
Hostels are great. The easiest way to chat up somebody is asking "hey, where are you from?"
Many hostels organize pub crawls for their guests. Most of those are kinda lame but you get to hang out with a lot of people and that's good. Most are alone travelers like you, the feeling of freedom will make things rather easy with girls.
In Dublin I went to the Guiness brewery with a chick from the hostel. Great mini-date and we went for hamburgers afterwards and were about to go to the Temple bar district for beer, until my then (now ex) bpd-gf started calling and making a mess. Funny thing is that only at that point when I said my gf was calling me, the chick mentioned having a bf too :)
London is awesome, had a great time at O'Neill. There are lots of insanely good looking women in London.
There are huge rates of STDs in those areas and the women will rob you when you’re sleeping. Most women looking for hookups are going to be prostitutes

Bring a camera and get girls to take your picture, then start chatting them up. Easy-mode. Works best with a pair of girls in my experience.
