So, context: every summer, this family in my neighborhood holds a block party to commemorate the end of the public school year.

Naturally, I looked at this as a chance to go catch up with the old bus gang. The people that I used to sit in the back of the bus with all throughout high school (until I got my driver's license).

I go, and it's fun, we're catching up on old times. Then the topic comes up (somehow) about mental health, and, a girl chimes in saying:

"I don't get what guys can be mentally stressed about...at least they don't have to deal with the pay gap and the other shit we have to."

Now, I didn't say anything to respond to that; I just shrugged. It's a neighborhood gathering, I'm not about to cross lines. Also, what she said didn't exactly hit me until later.

Later that evening, I remembered that, and suddenly, I started thinking: what if I had said that about women? What if I had suddenly just said "I don't know what women are so stressed about..."?

I picture a pack of SJW Indian mothers and daughters chasing after me with their naan rollers. Bit extreme, but you get the idea.

Point is this: women love to talk about how "easy" men have it, and say that they don't know what makes men so stressed. But, if men start saying that about women, it's heresy.

More implicit, but still one nonetheless.
