TL;DR: AWALT is not a cop-out to excuse your own mistakes and correctable behavior when committing to an LTR.

It's a story we've seen on here all too often. The ex-Bluepill sob story, about how a guy ended up with a scummy chick, who ended up cheating on him, or manipulating him, or whatever happened, which lead him to seeing the light that is Redpill at the end of a dark tunnel. It's a story most of us can relate to, even if we didn't have to crawl through that tunnel full of shit to embrace TRP, everyone's been in a shitty relationship at some point. Moreover, AWALT is a term with a lot of legitimacy to it.

If you're a booky type, you've probably at least heard of Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness. I can already tell you're rolling your eyes but bare with me a bit here. It's an old ass boring book so I'm not going to go super specific, but basically, the overall message is that the shitty parts of human nature are present in everybody regardless of origin. This is the embodiment of AWALT. All women are the same. All women are human, and humans have patterns in their behavior, both good and bad, and it's easy to identify these behaviors. Hypergamy, branch-swinging, shit like that. You get the point.

Now I only said all of that because in order to fully understand my post, and as sort of a preface that I'm not trying to gatekeep a made up word on the internet like a faggot, we need to find a common ground on what the Acronym means. And now that we got all that shit out of the way:

AWALT is not a cop out for your own shitty behavior.

The thing that separates the Bluepill from the Redpill is self-improvement. You're not some Incel sitting at his computer whining all day about how you can't get bitches on your dick, you're willing to improve yourself, not only just to score some quick pussy on the weekends but also just to be an all around better person in general. And the first step on the road to self-improvement is admitting that you made mistakes and that you're willing to learn from them.

Going back to the Bluepill sob story: Don't get me wrong here, I sympathize with you bro. But to put it blunt, you're the one who let a shitty person into your life and let them do shitty things to you. That is not just AWALT. If you're a big boy now, and you're ready to improve yourself, you can't just whisk that away by saying all women are like this. That is completely, 100%, your fault. But that's okay, because you're going to learn from that.

Think about it this way, let's say you wanted to get a dog. Would you get the well-trained dog, a dog that's well-behaved and perfect for living with humans, or some mangy, feral stray you found on the side of the street? If you adopted the feral stray, you can't blame it for being the primal thing that it is. Think about women the same way. If you date a girl who has zero moral values and can't fight against her own nature, don't act surprised when you get more than you bargained for.

So in closing, next time you think back on that shitty LTR that drove you to Redpill, don't cry about it. Learn from it. Accept that you made a mistake and that you're willing to move on. Don't just say AWALT and be an angry beta about it, man up to it and promise yourself that you'll adopt the well-trained dog instead of the stray one next time.
