I paid off my student loans this week, I'm pretty much debt free at 25 other than a car payment, and now I'm saving up for my first property investment.

Took me 11 months, but got off of a Maintancne opiate my dr. Has been giving me the last 3yrs. On my own terms, because I want a life that doesn’t involve addictive substances I need to take from getting sick. It’s been two weeks and I’m really proud of myself. No interest in playing with the fire any time soon. I hope the lesson sticks. Groundhog Day as a drug addict is an impossible way to progress as an adult.

Finally got over my oneitis! Got a killer job (graduated in may), back in the gym, meditation, diet on point, had the worst day of my life and the best day of my life all on one day. Its been a fucking wild ride.

Usually I would get back with my ex when we break up. She broke it off this time and 2 weeks later started getting cuddly and tried to hold my hand. I didn't hold it back. She tried to get me to tell her I love her. Putting me in positions where i would predictably respond with I love you. How do I know this?
We parted ways after meeting up to get my son. I get home and she messaged me and told me I was standoffish and didn't say I love you in 3 occasions. I told her I don't want to be with her. I want to develop myself to be a better father, brother, friend and most importantly a better me. I got blocked, left with long messages of distraught blah blah blah but I felt so powerful and happy. It was the greatest feeling of freedom I have experienced in the last 8 years.
Thank you TRP, thank you MGTOW for the understanding and sharing of experiences, so that I can take the good and bad from both and combine them to create something I can live with. It has had an immeasurable impact on my mind frame, confidence, work ethic, happiness just to name a few faucets of my life and I have the confidence now to do what I want and attain things I would never have been able to when controlled by another party. #SnortRedPills # Unchained

I started to lift after 1 month break. Hit the gym 3 times. Begin to karate course in the university. I ask for a direction to a random girl then talk a little bit and took ger number. I havent met with a girl this way before.
Other day when we meet she was with her friends. I wasnt comfortable couldnt game her thought what to say a lot... i have long way to go on this. I can get some suggestion to finding a topic to talk from you.
daymi 8y ago
(1) First talk to her about some stuff in the vicinity, don't overthink it
(2) Then talk about what you are interested about and make sure to give her a lot of branchpoints where she can start talking (... "right?", "What do you think about X?")
Evolved2Red 8y ago
Hit the iron my usual 6 days this week, and making gains, practiced STFU which has been a challenge for me. Wife pulled her stormy shit when I came home from the gym today, so I hopped in the shower, changed my appearance “slightly” looking a little more put together than normal, told her I was headed out to run errands. Left for an hour and fifteen minutes, came back. I just went to the park and read, anyways she hits me with “where have you been? I see women looking at you, are you fucking that hot redhead I saw at the gym? “ I stayed the course and STFU AND LET THAT HAMSTER WHITE SMOKE. She was getting jealous and all that, which I didn’t even know was even a possibility because I catered to her for so long before taking the pill. I sat back calm and acted like nothing, and still haven’t told her where I went. This is the first time I have ever just went out, said fuck it didn’t care what would happen when I got back home when she’s acting like they do. Needless to say we have been solid fucking all evening. Moral of the story is I’m working it, I got the pill down and I’m still digesting it, only been 3 months. Your words and posts have helped ALOT since I decided to make the choice to do ME. Shits working as of now today, this is my first real post, and I realize that I’ll prolly get hammered and I’m ok with that.
Till next week brothers.

How do you deal with the "i need you, do you need me?" shit test with a LTR? She literally told me she needed me for 2 hours straight and i did not one bit show her that i needed her. Seems to have worked well but im wondering what the best possible way is to deal with this kind of test
daymi 8y ago
Is it a shit test or a comfort test?
hybridscience 8y ago
Explain the difference if you don't mind
daymi 8y ago
Basically, did she say the "do you need me" in a business-like (or worse, demeaning) tone or did she plead for your love? Was she trying to manipulate you or was she actually vulnerable?
hybridscience 8y ago
She was vulnerable. I told her about this girl that keeps trying to get with me and my ltr hates her with a passion. She was balling her eyes out so the second one seems more accurate. Still kept frame.
daymi 8y ago
You know better than me how the situation was playing out, but I think I would have comforted her by holding her to be safe (not clinging! Just holding her like you would a child standing on the floor, really). But I think you are okay regardless, it's not that important.
Comfort tests are weird in that she actually doesn't want a verbal answer. It's more like she feels anxious and wants not to feel anxious. In your above case there's nothing advantageous (and which is not a lie) you can say about her having competition - it's a fact of life. So don't try.
Don't make fun of it in any way - I've fucked that up before -, do NOT agree and amplify in this situation.

(shamelessly stealing the categories from geology_socks)
Successes:
Physical fitness - lifted two days, lifted harder than ever before, raised weights by 5 kg, reduced body weight by 2 kg since I started lifting (optimal weight now) while incresing strength, took only cold showers every day, started installing optimized sleep and wakeup routine
Diet - did not eat junk in 6 out of 7 days, time-restricted-feeding every other day, cooking on 3/7 days, started habit of eating pure fish oil, started optimizing my water intake because I often get dehydrated
Creatively - did hours of photo retouche for my photography side hustle with lots of energy
Academically - read and watched hours of social dynamic and pickup material on my commute
Financially - did not buy junk this week; got a licence for a finance management software and for tax software
Spiritually - got a meditation program and started day 1 of my new habit; got the vibe of other TRP-guys I met this week and kept most of the vibe of our holiday travel last week, feeling more masculine and empowered
Socially - had good social interactions and influences on 5/7 days; did well in social circle and social circle game; met some RP men in my social circle that I could talk to; decided to reduce the influence of females in social circle; installed the behaviour of "downtalk" most of the time;
Love Life - Learned about social dynamics and a bit about night life (but not night game yet); made plans to hit night game at the best 150 minutes of the night: no alcohol, sleeping before going out
Failures:
Physically - one training day was missing: my gym buddy did not have time and I could have trained alone and didn't. I did not start a good sleep circle, I drank alcohol and really messed up my sleep on one day.
Diet - Tons of chocolate, one beer without alcohol and some alcohol on one day each (not the same day). I should never buy chocolate. I stopped drinking beer and I keep my habit of drinking alcohol once every few weeks.
Creatively - I do not really know what to do right now.
Academically - I do not really know what to do. I'd like to keep doing and education myself in pickup and social dynamics. I want more profession and business in my life and look for orientation. Maybe a business related meetup is a good start.
Financially - bought chocolate
Spiritually - I did nothing wrong this week :) Well, maybe my stressfull job that takes me nowhere is kind of a spiritual failure.
Socially - Did not yet make my home a good place for dates and meetings. Too nerdy and not yet refined. I know I could make it ok within one week and make it good within one month. Money, ideas and skills are ok, I just have to do it.
Love Life - Did not spend sunny sunday with a great girl (no unicorn but definitly a pearl) because I feel like my life still is too much of a mess. I want to practice with less important girls, which feels kind of smart and kind of stupid at the same time. In my country/city/social circle mental healthy and attractive females are not very common and feel a bit like unicorns. I broke NoFap after doing mistakes in my diet and getting stressed out. I learned that one good habit attracts other good habits, but bad habits attract bat habits too, so I better not fail in one habit.
TheMexipinoy 8y ago
Good: -1 month on NoFap -Hooked up with 2 women this week which a big deal to me. -Been killing it in the gym; hit a new PR on deadlifts and on flat bench dumbbell press -Got promoted from part time to full time at my new job
Bad: -Haven't cold approached in over a month -Could've approached an hb 8 at the gym who's been giving me strong IOIs for a couple weeks now. -Been getting back into social medias because of an excess amount of free time at my job -Spending too much money at the club and not saving enough -Didn't read this week

i caught a girl giving me a “do you do that often (to other girls)?” shit test at work, and i picked up on it instantly and passed like a fucking pro. stay tuned for update

Good: Started my meal prep programme, starting to eat clean lunches instead of buying unhealthy cheap food. Will feel the difference later. Went back to my gym routine after flying home and fixing jetlag. Went for meetup group to become more sociable and learn to be approachable.
Bad: Broke 17 day nofap streak Didn't manage to keep eye contact with random girl at Starbucks

For the last month, I've gone to the gym every single day. I just need to refine my workout. My diet isnt perfect, but ive cut out fast food and started cooking all my meals at home. ive also been meditating 1 - 2 hours a day. I take improv classes to help overcome my social fears, and once i build a solid mental foundation (frame), i plan on doing stand up.
I cant seem to be able to locate the source of my anxiety, but i feel i am getting close. I very confident that it is diet related - i have some days where all of my anxieties can be easily confronted, and other days where they are greatly potentiated. Yesterday morning, i was having a great day socially. Around noon i decided to take some high quality fish oil. Shortly after, i experienced a dip in cognition, and my anxieties began to manifest. Ive been trying to increase my value at work, and my anxiety has constantly been undermining my success.
Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated.
P.s. I am aware that fish oil can go rancid. I buy it from a reputable source, and refrigerate it immediately.

Dance lessons, huh? I've heard of that a bunch of times, might actually be interested in doing that. And since I have zero dance moves, lessons would be a great thing. What kind of dancing?
Idoonotknowman 8y ago
I do ballroom dancing because I used to swing dance and got a bit of experience doing other dances while doing that. I do some Tango, Foxtrot, Salsa, Cha-Cha, Rumba and East/West Coast Swing.
It's great because even if you're literally petrified of talking to women you're forced to at least talk to your instructor, you always have some physical contact which easy kino, and you're always given an opportunity to dance/talk with girls taking lessons.
TurningRed54 8y ago
Very cool man! I have always been one to sit out, having no confidence in myself because of not knowing any moves. Would be a great thing to change. Got a bit on my plate at the moment but I think dance lessons will be in my future!
TurningRed54 8y ago
Changing my whole life! Since the beginning of this year I lost 50 lbs going from 220 to 170. Ended my long term long distance relationship, bought a house and moved out of the apartment I had been in for 10 years. Just this week I started lifting weights for the first time in my life and am looking to add maybe 25 lbs of muscle.
On the social side of things, I had put away my bass guitar about 4 years ago and recently picked that back up again. Played with two startup bands today, one of which was really good and I'm sticking with. Getting together with the guys and jamming regularly is good stuff, not to mention when we get around to playing clubs. Also I've been somewhat successful in my efforts to pay attention and give a little smile or acknowledgement when making eye contact with strangers. My lifelong habit has been to look away... fuck that.
Have made a bunch of plans toward completing my transformation and increasing my SMV. Soon as I get my credit card paid off.. a few months I guess... I'm going to get probably $3-5K worth of dental work done. Fix up my smile a bit and work on showing teeth instead of hiding them. And after I gain the muscle I want, I'll buy a bunch of new clothes. Fuck all my old jeans and t-shirts, I'm going to start dressing decently well every day.
My hygene and grooming have never been bad but I'll also make sure I'm always at my best just in case I run across someone interesting. And cologne. Never wore the crap in my life but I'm about to go pick out a scent to call my own. Will be sure to put on a splash or spritz every day.
Also recently terminated all the online dating accounts I had. Fuck that too, I'll make the extra effort to get out and find women around town.
54 yrs old and I regret like hell having only been with a few girls and none above a 4 IMO. Might take me another year or two but I intend to make it with a few 6's and if I'm lucky (or good) maybe even a 7 or two before they box me up at the end.

My week from the 8th of October till the 14th. Has been a bad week for me.
GOOD
MEDITATION: Started to make it a habit. I have done 4X10 minutes sessions this week.
BAD
GYM: Only went Twice this week was aiming for at least 5.
NOFAP: Did a 4-days nofap streak. Fapped 3 times this week.
STUDIES: Far behind on them.
TRP READING: Behind on that (Reading The Misandry Bubble in depth, following all links. Still, need to read The Manipulated Man.)

Good: Accepted that I'll have to study and work hard and I'm growing out of the "Why meee? Fuck college!" mindset I've had since I was 10. This may not sound like much, but it's big for me. Got some dates lined up. Learning to manage time a bit better, one baby step at a time.
Bad: Failed at sticking to a good diet and working out.

Don't overthink the hiking gear. Take running shoes and just get out. You'll have a better idea what you want/need as far as equipment goes after you've done a short (2-3 hour) hike. Needing to buy gear with no finances is an easy way to put off going.
Work_In_Progress92 8y ago
You are totally right honestly. I have a pair of shitty low top basketball kicks I have been using for the gym and everything else, may as well use them til I can afford some better sneakers for hiking.
Thank you.

Also, you meet people on the trails who will give you recommendations on other hikes based on what you're looking for. Don't reinvent the wheel. Use their tips to check out trails.

I have been doing a keto diet for the last 8 weeks, with a cheat days on saturday and sunday. This past weekend I ALSO ate clean on the weekend instead of having cheat days. The keto diet has really improved my mood, and I no longer find myself in crazy depressive mood swings.
Physically I felt my body stop getting massive cravings. That anabolic feeling in the morning is nice. The downside is my pump hasnt been as great at the gym this week. Usually after a strong lift my arms are filled out for a bit. I felt a bit weaker. Im sure its because of the diet so I will try a small carb refeed this weekend.
I've been listening to various podcasts(mainly joe rogan) instead of music lately. Its crazy how we mimic speech from others literally my way of speaking has changed the last few weeks to a deeper, confident, non rushed tone.
In social settings with friends/social groups/clubs my body languages continues improve and also my likeability/banter, theres this group thats meets once a week to discuss christian stuff and while we were conversating, taylor swift's hotter "sister" kept locking eyes with me(HB9). In a typical scenario, I would have glanced away like a bitch. I know its the little improvements I'm making that I know will be habitual in the long run. I used to be a bitch and get nervous in front of girls "out of my league" (a non relevant term I know)
I've been hitting the soccer field twice a week.
The downside? I didnt go walk my dogs as much as I should have
between buying new furniture, shit ton of supps, booking accomodations for world cup trip.. my finances have sucked ... but the nice side to that is im "to broke" to go out and drink/party which is good for the diet.

I ran a half marathon and began a program at the gym. Soft nexted a girl I've been seeing for the past few months and started spinning a new plate. Finished the rational male and began reading the art of seduction.
I've been using drinking and smoking as a crutch. Got drunk one day and smoked another day this week and really realized for the first time the debilitating effects it truly has on my frame. Working on selfcontrol and maintaining frame.

Been sloppy with my diet this week. Missed 2 workouts and didn't push myself in 2 Getting a grip on some of my emotional issues and life-problems. Tried Talking to 5 Strangers daily. Been consistent with skincare routine. Taking Fish Oil and Multivitamin Daily Meditated 20 minutes daily. Increased to 30 minutes Journalled for 10+ minutes everyday. STudied 3-4hr/day for 3/4 days. Nofap 4/7 days.
Neglected Sleeping by 11. Attended All Classes IF on majority days
Affirmations daily from No More MR. nice Guy.
Read No More MR.Nice Guy for 30 minutes everyday.
Overall, this week has been bad. Been discouraged a little with regards to my body. Took ADD Meds daily. Forgot to take them one-day and the notice in my behaviour was drastic.
Still Have to start applying to universities. Search for scholarships.

Diet: week 3 of 16 off 8 on intermittent fasting, down 10 lbs. Still eating dirty, need to clean it up.
Mentally: stressing my mind to learn more code. Need to read more books on leadership.
Spiritually: went to a real church, not kumbaya around the fire. Need to actually use myself to help someone next week.

Congrats on the weight loss dude.

I'm always lurking and never posting. Broke up in April. Went Monk mode. Met new friends/peers in May. Started keto from June down to 190 from 220 (5'8). Gym from July (Elliots 5x5). Better looks and unlimited energy from the gym. Always been listening to stand-up, helps speech/funny/witty. Found a better baller job that pays 20k more a year. During job trans I traveled to Hungary(loads of fun). Managing 3+ friend groups(always busy and fun and no sleep). Built a good tinder(me+dog pic, workout pic, office/suit pic, me+friends pic). Dress better/look better. Noticing a lot of females staring, if I like, I talk. Confidence thru the roof. Talking to anyone I want. Enjoying life and and doing me. Everything in life is so much easier. Current/practicing goals: Walking away from females/waste of money/self degradation (I want to be able to switch and change anything I don't like or doesn't benefit me, really quickly), better frame. Future goals: Better job(more IT certs), better apartment, 170lb/look built, 370z nismo black. I can give more details/fr on above topics if anyone needs help/interested.

I can't seem to get out of my own damned way.
There has been a deeply amusing "You're good enough the way you are" thread up much of the week.
Thing is, I am. In all facets of life, I'm kicking ass.
I'm hiding out from student load interest by taking a math class I can expense to work...and a phys ed class on my dime. After that, I go boulder for about 20 minutes, nice burn for the forearms, gets them good and veiny.
As I was leaving the building, I got absolutely solid eye contact from this cute nerdy girl on campus walking by. How fucking hard is it to say "Hi!"
Yeah she was half my age (45). So what? I had a smokeshow half my age on my arm for years.
I have the smart not nerd look rocking. I've been lifting for months, doing martial arts, climbing, and have a full time professional job with a great deal of flexibility. And a great apartment. And I'm a great cook.
No excuses at all.
I'm going to punch myself in the balls now.
hopefullythathelps 8y ago
Yeah I know how that feels. I know I have something to offer yet when opportunity presents itself I'm caught off guard. Cute girl actually opened me and all I could do was tell her she's cute and walk away. Part of the problem is that there are so few attractive women around (obesity epidemic) that it's tough to get into a rhythm. Still my fault though for rejecting myself.
[deleted] 8y ago

Bad: Saw a girl at the barber college I went to and tried my hardest not to give her eye contact, and when I did, I just smiled and didn’t greet her. For some reason, I was laughing internally while ignoring her staring at me for a bit.
Delayed going to the grocery store earlier to prevent eating close to midnight
Didn’t read at all and kept on watching YouTube videos
Good:
Had a really good Arms Workout (had to take a nap after eating due to being wiped out)
Stocked up on groceries
Bought more pair of shoes
Greeted and held a short conversation with a few people
Getting rid of all my video games in order to focus more on myself
Received a email for a phone interview from a job I’ve wanted to get for the past 3 years
Focusing on working out my abdominal daily to stabilize my core for heavy lifting
Bought a book in order to get back into reading
Changing my mindset to accept the abundance mentality instead of owning a scarcity mindset when it comes to women
