Karen Straughan: Female Men's Rights Activist on The Rubin Report 9/12/16 | TheRedPill

Karen Straughan is an anti-feminist first and a men's rights activist second. She has done an AMA on TRP (earlier this year I believe) and produced some high quality YouTube videos about feminism using history and evolutionary psychology.

Dave Rubin is a gay, Jewish, liberal who interviews many conservative intellectuals on his show The Rubin Report. He's cool in my book and I appreciate the civil discussions over heated topics.

She's the reason I even found the red pill, after she mentioned it in one of her videos. Great woman with eye opening monologues. Check out her one on why men aren't getting married if you're interested.

Me too. It all started when I did a YouTube search for "depression science" and ended up watching Robert Saplosky's Human Behavioral Biology videos where he mentions evolutionary psychology... I stumbled across a podcast of her and Thinking-Ape during a search for evo psych and they mentioned TRP. Ended up watching all her videos, Thinking-Ape and discovering this sub. I didn't even know what the manosphere was, just interested in evo psych... TRP probably saved my life.

Rubin is great, he's not conservative but he hates the Regressive Left and has some good guests on. He's had Milo on twice, Scott Adams, Sam Harris, Cernovich, Christina Hoff Sommers.

All of those interviews are well worth watching. Good thinkers with differing takes on things who fall differently on the political spectrum but agree with Rubin that the left is now out of control and going against basic western values. Rubin is a neverending reminder of what the left, right and centre in the west have in common - or should have in common since we all believe in freedom and liberty. It's the regressive left that have come in and undermined that freedom and pitted left and right against each other in something they should agree on.

While it's important to remind the left of this, it's also important to tell guys on the right that they need to stop hating people on the left because that's exactly what the regressives want. They want that conflict and they want an enemy who seems unreasonable and lacking compassion. Prove them wrong and find the non-regressives on the left to ally with on the shared basic western values.

I think the next step for Rubin would be to moderate debates between intellectuals from the right and left who are willing to argue their positions without any personal attacks, name calling, interrupting and shouting down. An actual civil debate of ideas without all the emotional bullshit.

He might be able to pull this off successfully because he's recognized as one of the few people on the scene who understands both sides of an argument and takes a level headed dispassionate approach to discerning the truth of the matter.

Idk, but Sam recently did a podcast with Joe Rogan and Hannibal Buress where Sam and Hannibal argue about cops and racism.

This is it really - basic western values.
There are plenty on both sides who lack these. Imho it's quite a bit better on the right these days as they tend to be a lot less collectivist, but there are crazies all across the spectrum.

Never fight your own battle if you can persuade another to do it for you but always take the credit. Get the women to fight the other women, men win. How is that not obvious?
