I know this is a short one, but it's mostly just a mainstream example of what we already know to be true.
Summary: The Rational Male's SMV graph is proven true in Hollywood.
Body: The SMV Curve is a red pill staple as far as attractiveness vs. age for men and women. Women burn bright and fast so as to attract a viable mate for genetic commingling early on. Men on the other hand take longer to reach our SMV peak but have a much longer time being the SMV dominate sex. This has been discussed at length. What I saw posted on the front page today was this. Here is the link if you want to read more about it. What it boils down to is that Hollywood, and the American consumer, have confirmed objective red pill truths...again. Men like peak hotness women and women like peak hotness men, duh.
Lessons Learned:
- Human nature is unavoidable (no matter how much it is denied publicly)
- Hollywood knows this and exploits this
- The sheep follow suit not believing any of this
Edit: The slightly higher peak in actress age as compared to the SMV curve is due to the feminine imperative. But even that can't totally beat Hollywood's search for more money.

This serves to give solid proof that The Rational Male's SMV chart was correct.
When we see data that backs up our intuition it says we were always on the right track.
The Red Pill is truth... the Blue Pill is myth.

Wow. This is mind blowing.
I used to wonder why most of the male leading roles were performed by men in their 30s. I realized that the top grossing movies are usually with a male lead in his 30s. Actors begin making real money in their 30s. Getting awards in their 30s. Actors become household names in their 30s.
I rationalized this by saying that it was a meritocracy, predicated on men who had perfected their craft, and had become so good that they were put in the lead role. Boy, have I been dead wrong.
All this time, it has been the SMP!!!
The strategy is to promote a good looking man, once he turns 30, and milk him for all he is worth over the decade of his peak SMV. Once he reaches his 40s, you spit him out and replace him with a fresh new piece just turning 30. Unless he is exceptionally good looking and talented, in which case you can probably squeeze an extra decade out of him.
Let us have a look at a few examples, gentlemen, of the current Hollywood SMP. We have wonderboys Henry Cavill (33) and Chris Hemsworth (32) just starting their high grossing careers. They are both gods in the looks department, have been acting for years, but have only recently secured intensely promoted leading roles. Hollywood expects to get at least a decade's worth of high returns from these two.
In the mid-decade of peak SMV, we have Chris Evans (34), Chris Pine (35), and Chris Pratt (36), who have been making some good money for Hollywood, and still have some mileage left in them.
In the camp of those being spit out, we have Ben Afleck (43), Matt Damon (45), and Bradley Cooper (41), who have apparently already seen their best. Hollywood only has peripheral use for them now.
Men age well, so a few who are both exceptionally good looking and very talented, are still occasional cash cows, albeit marginally. Tom Cruise (53), Brad Pitt(52), George Clooney(55).
A token exception for a man who joined the top grossing elite in his 40's is Robert Downey Jr. (51). However, he still fits the bill of exceptional good looks and talent, he just ruined his high-earning 30s potential through irresponsible drug abuse.
And there you have it, gentlemen. The hollywood masterminds intimately understand the SMP, and make billions every year.
Be attractive, or the world is harsh.

I think you missed the mark on the male SMP portion. It doesn't end at 30, or 40, or 50. You need to have another look at these actors film history.

When I was a beta I was always into women who're older than me. Don't know if it's the social programming or the fucked up "trying to find the maternal love" beta shit. Probably a bit of the both. Maybe those combined with MILF porn.
Now, I feel like I've been cured from a weird fetish.
[deleted] 9y ago
Some of my beta guy friends are like this to a T. Why?
[deleted] 9y ago
I was exactly the same type of guy. older = better.
After swallowing TRP I made 180 degree turn. Although I still hit on older girls whenever I get a chance. Not much older, but up to 30 is fine by me.

To be fair I'd take a 55 year old woman with a smokin body over a 20 year old fatty any day. But yeah porn sucks, watch it the least amount possible

Women who diet and work out, yes. I see quite a few 35-40 year old women with a smoking hard body that I almost never see on a 25 year old. Young ones just naturally have softer definition and less muscle tone. It takes time to build muscle and also I suspect women on the downslope of fertility have less body fat. The young ones are more fun to touch but the older ones can certainly hold their own in a swimsuit contest. Women leave puberty lean and awkward or slightly puffy and unbuilt. Then by their late twenties with some work they're seriously looking like Chun Li. They're shaped and smooth. Then after that they keep their figure and shrink wrap their definition a bit, looking good for a Nike commercial. When I see a hot 40 year old I have respect. I mean damn she must be crazy to work out so much. Wonder what psychotic shit she's thinking right now!

I think it's partially programming and partially that is was, and to a small extent still is, taboo. Naughty things turn people on just because they are naughty.

Awesome post, good find. That's gold. In my Blue Pill days I was certain that my SMV peaked when I was in my early 20s, like a woman. Now I'm in my late 20s and am happy to know that my best days are still ahead of me. Reminds me of a Red Pill song I know: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4KXWeW2u50
I know a lot of people who first find the red pill are angry and depressed, but it's honestly made me happy in the year or so since I've swallowed the pill. Understanding AWALT has made my relationships with women much more fulfilling. Red Pill = happiness, Blue Pill = depression

When I turned 28 last year I was wayyyy more concerned about my age than I had expected. Thought my prime was coming to an end blah blah blah. BP conditioning. When I got a hold of Rational Male, I learned it was total bullshit. Looking forward to things only getting better moving forward.

Loads of older guys on TRP say the dating market only gets better with age. Also this. Another thing to consider is that powerlifters and strong men typically peak in their mid 30s. Sports athletes are usually best in mid and late 20s because they're beating the fuck out of their bodies regularly, not because of a lack of testosterone. Most men in their 30s who lament about how amazing their 20s were are either married with children and are no longer allowed to have fun OR after college they amount to nothing and blame age for themselves being piles of shit.
At 28 my sex drive is ridiculous and I've never built muscle like I do now.

My dad got married when he was 26 (my mom got pregnant so they decided to get married), and whole my life he was telling me how chances of getting married are dropping dramatically once you're over 30. For men. So basically whole my life I was concerned if I'm going to find The One⢠before I'm 30 and no girl wants to look at my direction. I'm 22 now and I'm glad I swallowed TRP before I did something dumb.
[deleted] 9y ago
Lol maybe they don't get married post-30 because they know better
RedSugarPill 9y ago
Not quite. Those are normalized graphs, so the peak is higher with the women, because they spend less time there. Put it another way, the areas under each curve add up to one. The first graph was not normalized, and probably isn't based on real data. To put it yet another way: Both graphs say essentially the same thing, but the latter graph is not showing the 'attractiveness' on the y-scale, but the relative amount of attractiveness, or proportion for everyone in the group.
redpotatowedge 9y ago
I didn't mean higher as in vertical height. I meant more positive on the x-axis (age). I should have been more clear. My anecdotal "evidence" is that I find 22 year old women more attractive than 28 year old women in general.
RedSugarPill 9y ago
Yeah, I see what you're saying now. Man, there aren't many, but I've seen a few HOT HB10 100-year-olds out there. Hubba hubba!
Edit: Never mind. This graph is the distribution of hired actors, and is not related to SMV.
redpotatowedge 9y ago
Except it is related to SMV. Most of them were hired for hotness, acting chops comes second because SMV sells.
I'll give you that SMV's relationship to the graph is indirect but I still contend it's a driving factor.
RedSugarPill 9y ago
Not for 10 year olds and 90 year olds. There are too many causal factors in this graph.
redpotatowedge 9y ago
True. But like as in most of life, if you look at the extremes most thing fall apart. That's where SJW get off. "Well not ALL women are like that"...but we know that the generalization holds almost exhaustively.
MattyAnon Admin 9y ago
Would be good to put the two graphs side by side, and base them both from 15.
Good link!
