TL;DR- An extensive analysis on the Machiavellianistic implementation of passive/pre-selection sexual strategy, using the manipulation process behind a threesome as it's framework.
"The Machiavellian Approach" Part 4
"Fortune is a woman, and if you wish to keep her under it is necessary to beat and ill-use her; and it is seen that she allows herself to be mastered by the adventurous rather than by those who go to work more coldly." -Niccolò Machiavelli
Disclaimer: On Machiavellianistic Amorality
First and foremost, both in comprehension throughout and in commentary below, leave your sense of morality at the door.
Game is amoral. Machiavellianism is amoral. The world is amoral.
Manipulating those around you for your own personal benefit i.e. adopting a psuedo-Machiavellian persona is big part of this strategy.
People will be used, discarded. Your lessers stepped on. Your blue friends manipulated.
Unlike other strategies, a high level of morality will hinder you.
But not unlike one's perceptions and opinions, morality is innately subjective.
Its subjective in that no one will value your sense of moral justice as highly as you.
While I do have some codes of ethics (don't purposefully persue a friend's LTR, etc.), this is still in my own best interest and I would never expect someone to hold my code of ethics to the same level that I do. That level is subjective to me.
That said, anyone that exists outside of my inner circle that is weak or frail enough to be stepped on or over for my own personal betterment, will be. I'd encourage you to adapt this line of mental processing before proceeding forward.
Again, to those who abhor the notions of absolutist or objectivist amorality, this was your warning. This is not the place for you.

Machiavellian vs. Machiavellian
Scarlett and I sat outside, talked/smoked for a bit after Bri headed back to the party.
Scarlett was the first self-identifying Machiavellian I’d ever met and she said she’d noticed Machiavellian behaviors in me. She'd been watching me operate throughout the party and said we shared some of our views on how each of us approached peer manipulations.
First let's cover a little of who Scarlett is.
Scarlett is easily one of the highest SMV women in my area. Winner of the genetic lottery, well read and extremely successful in the corporate world. SMV-wise, she’s out of my league.
Unlike a natural Machiavellian like myself, Scarlett’s what you’d call an [“Advisor” Machiavellian]( http://illimitablemen.com/2014/11/15/nuance-in-manipulative-style-the-machiavellian-trifecta/).
She read herself into the Machiavellian trifecta, beginning from philosophers like John Locke and Adam Smith and working her way up.
Because of this, the strategization she takes when manipulating her peers was a bit more introvertly calculated than my own. That also meant, however, that her ability to lead and command others/implementation of said strategies is weaker than mine, respectively so. “I know the best ways of lining the dominoes up,” she said, “but I can’t knock them down unless they line themselves up.” That line stuck with me.
Up until now, I never would have guessed that Scarlett operated under Machiavellian principles. Like me, she facades this “aloof” persona when in public spaces.
She said she pretends to be dumber than she actually is because it makes the men around her easier to manipulate. She said that a woman with both power, beauty and a rational mind can intimidate a normal man which would cause them to keep their guard up and make it harder to get what she wanted from them.
I asked her what she wanted from them. She said that she simply took whatever her worshippers gave her.
“You see that guy on the patio?” she pointed out. “He's been trying to fuck me something fierce. He’s a disgusting, pathetic excuse for a man. I pretend to be interested in him enough to keep him 'on the line'. And last week he bought me a Tiffany necklace.”
The guy she was referring to had sat by himself the entire party. Beta behavior, out of shape, dull personality, cucked into an open marriage while his wife ran around flirting with any 20-something that would look in her direction. And he’d bought Scarlett a necklace just for continuously leading him to believe he had a chance. All calculated.
I laughed and told her that’s how strippers operated. “Machiavellians are just strippers that keep their clothes on.” she said. That line stuck with me too.
I asked her why she even bothered being married (she’s in an open marriage, husband not present) if she can just manipulate men to get what she wanted.
She said her husband was weak enough to keep around while still being able to behave as if she were single. “He’s like… a constant.” she said. She explained that because her husband made a lot of also made a lot of money, it only made since to partner with him.
She kept using the word “partnering” when discussing their relationship. She said that because he was unattractive, she’d try to help him find a girlfriend to keep him “pre-occupied”. But he was always too timid to keep up with them.
I asked if she loved him.
She answered with “well, he loves me”.
She said that she didn’t believe in love, like myself. She said she approached her marriage like a job, in a way: she was getting paid in money, gifts and attention for “wearing the mask” of his wife. Like a paid actress, she said. And when he wasn’t around, she did as she pleases. She said that because she knew how weak-mind men operate, she’d never disclose nor hint at the true level of experimentation she does outside of their household. “Two different people, two different personas.”
I asked her what made her decide to reveal all of this to me.
She said that for one, it was because she was drunk. Fair enough, I guess.
The second reason really hit home. She also said it's because, as a Machiavellian, she was lonely.
No one could truly understand her as a person because Machivellianism is impossible for the vanilla world to accept. She said that the only person who could truly understand her as a Machiavellian is another Machiavellian and she’d finally found one in me.
I asked what gave me away. “You’re an attractive guy,” she'd started, “in there working the crowd in the same way as me. Game recognize game.”
She went on about how “befriending the majority” and staying on the “winning side” makes it much easier for her as it give her the largest denominator of people to manipulate.
The more people who worship you, the more people you can bend to your will. “More tools in the toolbox” she said. She even quoted the 48 Laws of Power:
LAW 27) Play on people's need to believe to create a cultlike following
LAW 38) Think as you like but behave like others
LAW 48) Assume formlessness
We then discussed 48 Laws for a while. I was impressed by how well she had conceptualized the book for Machiavellian practices.
She then asked what my end-goal was. And I told her. Cindy, Mandy or Jill.
She asked how I had planned it out. I briefly described the rationale behind my PPS approach. She loved it. She offered to play along. I asked her in what way. She said just wait and see.
It should be noted that, according to u/Illimitableman’s “Nuances in Machiavellian Style”, “Advisor” Machiavellians and “General” Machiavellians make for a gruesome pair. The following section should describe why.
Dual Machiavellian PPS Implementation
Scarlett and I headed back to the party. On our way up the hill, Cam called down to us loudly, “where the hell have YOU TWO been, huh?!”
Scarlett responded, equally as loud, “Having SEX.”
We got a lot of stares. Me and Scarlett split off and Cam parades on with questions.
Some time passed and I was left to believe that Scarlett’s declaration of "having sex" was all there was to her attempt at “playing along”. Then she showed up near me and Cam talking excitedly with Cindy, Mandy and Jill.
I couldn’t hear their conversation, but I knew she was talking about me. She kept looking over at me with the best fake-IOI “fuck me” glare I’d ever seen. If I didn’t know she was Machiavellian, I would’ve assumed she actually did want to have sex.
She talked with these huge hand/arm gestures that were a tad over-exuberant for her. And, shortly after Scarlett's IOI, one by one, Cindy, Mandy and Bri began looking over as well.
Scarlett walked over and sat in my lap and pretended to care about what me and Cam were conversing about. She threw her arms around my neck and faked a laugh at something dumb I’d said. She was very good at faking intrigue.
I asked her what she’d said to the others. “Don’t worry about that,” she said. “You got them interested, I got them primed, now let’s make them jealous.”
She then kissed me in the most X-rated way possible. It caught me completely off guard. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Cindy, Mandy and Jill. They were watching. Wait in to see what I’d do in response.
I felt that a show of grandiose was the best option at the time. Scarlett had given me an interesting opportunity here, and so I planned to take full advantage of it.
We spun around, I pinned her to the couch and she wrapped her legs around my waist. We kissed some more while we ground our genitalia against each other in a way I could only assume looked like sex.
The zipper of my jeans grating against my cock was an awful feeling, but it was warranted in order to play our moment off to the full effect.
And I understood what Scarlett was going for.
She was providing the physical "proof" for her earlier “sex” declaration to the targets. Even though we weren't actually having sex in front of these people, the intensity of our “interaction” would have alleviated anyone’s doubts on whether we’d actually had sex earlier or it would lead anyone to believe that we'd had sex before. Well played.
I found a good stopping point and we separated. We locked eyes and grinned. The sexual tension in the room was maddening.
We went our separate ways and I went back to Cam, who immediately lost his fucking shit.
Shortly after, while I began to process what’d just happened, I eventually realized how Scarlett benefited from all of this.
Scarlett had been stalked by several “orbiters” ever since party began. Apparently they couldn't take a hint.
She’d used me as an “interim boyfriend”/as her “beta scarecrow” to intimidate these orbiters away. In a “I’ve made my decision and it ain’t you” sort of way.
They were now spread out to the far corners of the party, staring me down in envy, anger and jealous. They were not subtle about it either.
But i didnt mind them. Mutual benefit. I’ll hand it to her, that was a smart play.
Ending Context
As Cam continues to lose his fucking shit (apparently Scarlett had told him she was a lesbian), I headed back to the bar for more scotch. Jill quickly ditched her boyfriend Ben mid-conversation and approaches.
I’ll try to wrap this up in 1 more part, considering how long it’s gotten and considering Scarlett’s throwing another party this weekend to which all the current players will be attending. I’d like to start a separate series should this event become as enlightening as the last one.
Until next time.

This is a really good post. I really enjoyed reading it. To be honest, I always thought 48 law of power was redundant but now I'm going to pick it up just because of this post. I don't know what Im expecting but I rather know than not.
BradPill 10y ago
The game/interaction doesn't mean nothing to her, it's just some party: that is why she openly admits being Machiavellian - even if she's not, or some 'wannabe' (having heard about it), she drops it to impress - and to gauge your reaction. The fact you don't ask what Mach. is, made you pass to round 2 - otherwise she would have bailed already. But the whole sex-ploy is not Mach. - at all - I knew girls like that in HS and they were just good teasers and manipulators - but they wouldn't even know how to pronounce his name...
Next time someone starts about relativity-theory, ask them to explain it to a layman - if they keep talking coherently for more than 2 minutes, then they might know what they are talking about. And if you want to learn some real Mach., join some club: tennis or golf or charity. Befriend the wives of the chairman, treasurer etc. Observe them (body language!), watch their interactions and listen (not: talk!) to them. Ask a smart question every now & then. That way you learn who really runs that club (you guessed it: often the wives, if they pay any interest, that is). And then for fun, bring that club into chaos, exposing all the affairs. As a true Mach. Because you can. And write about it here.

Scarlett reminds me of an ex I had. Beautiful, insanely talented, intelligent, but lonely and isolated because she could not relate to women. Very manipulative, but unlike Scarlet, she had never quite realized how to use her skill to climb any one type of vertical. Her talent at basically anything she took up (singing, dancing, school, art) made her indecisive and ADD, and she always burned out her welcome with the people she was using by using them too hard and not push-pulling properly. She had been manipulating men since she developed early as a preteen, and she had quickly gotten to the point where she did what she did for self-amusement, not for the gifts, validation, or emotional tamponship that came with spinning beta orbiters.
Could have been a CEO, could have been getting white knighted up any type of vertical she wanted, but the problem with budding female DTs is that they are often too far off the deep end and lack impulse control. Instead she got into drugs and now is in rehab, and at 26 she's looking 30. The difference is, unlike Scarlet she never educated herself on what she was and how she could use it, and never figured out what she wanted to use it for.
Female DTs, especially the higher IQ ones who do the whole "I can't relate to people at all" type of deal have a high degree of crazy, and I've found you either have to burn them or they burn you. They are incapable of ever falling into a first mate role.
A good test of Scarlet will be to see if she gets a microscopic hint of jealousy when you bang Jill and tell her about it. She is likely testing to see if you are the real deal, are you the type who's going to fuck his best friend's crush and ruin a relationship with the beta BF in pursuit of the higher SMV woman -- or if you're going to go the safe route and zero in on the 7 or 8. Show beta traits now, and you'll find her intrigue and interest will turn into disdain and contempt.
[deleted] 10y ago
The underlying principles are very well illustrated. It's so well composed that I don't care how much of it is real and how much is fiction.
I'd be very interested to see how your strategies grow and evolve as you get older and move on from the party scene.
sonofquetzalcoatl 10y ago
Aren't all women Machiavellian?
Scarlet is different in that she have consciously embraced her natural tendencies.

Would the mods please consider creating a "Educational Fiction" flag just for /u/OmLala?
ironblacksmith 10y ago
-/u/OmLaLa
Not only would you not comment on it, but why would you even bother to be on TRP? See, I read these stories, and I think to myself "Holy shit. That is awesome. How do I get there? What does he understand and present that I don't?" not "That's bullshit!" If you don't believe people out there are doing this, then you obviously don't think you can ever do it, and therefor you won't ever do it.
On the off chance that you're just trolling.. uh.. 8/10
OmLaLa 10y ago
Just because it doesn't/can't/hasn't happened to you, doesn't mean it doesn't/can't/hasn't happened to me.
Just because you can't fathom something happening doesn't automatically invalidate it. We sit on TRP talking about how feasible threesomes and NSA sex multiple times is for a high-SMV male, and yet grinding and making out is "fictitious" to you?
If you can't accept that much from an SEC's FR, then why bother commenting on it?
[deleted] 10y ago
Still though. It reads like the beginning of a rom-com.
sir_wankalot_here 10y ago
The truth is stranger then fiction. Comcially enough, the times where people call BS on me, I am usually telling the truth. And the times when I am BSing, they think I am telling the truth.
The dynamics in an MFF threesome are complex. Basically the two women are competing for the man, but there is an element of bisexuality there. But it is these things that play against each other.
The BSDM thing is a similar dynamic. Personally it doesn't really do much for me. Originally it started out as a joke ages ago. I was joking with this girl she has been bad and needs to be disciplined. I noticed she started getting off on it.
I noticed that the woman that are most into this stuff are educated professional women. So publically they are man eaters, privately they are kittens. So I am now into slave training because wankalot is a gentleman and always does what pleases the ladies ☺
I asked one girl about it, she says the contrasts excite her.
chaseemall 10y ago
You've put up educational fiction in the past though: parables and such. So has GLO.
I'm not sure that /u/UrsusG was referring specifically to this post.
OmLaLa 10y ago
No, unfortunately he has a habit of not being able to accept FRs.
UrsusG 10y ago
I was referring to this and other 'field reports' from /u/OmLaLa where everything is James Bondesque: the setting, the characters, the action and the dialogue.
James Bond never fails, he nails powerful corporate women, has threesomes, turns lesbians straight and water to wine.
Today's episode was: 'I noticed you're Machiavellian. I'm pretty Machiavellian myself. Join me, and together we can rule the galaxy while we grind and French kiss in public'.
/u/OmLaLa mentioned he writes fiction too, so everything sort of falls into place for me.
And inb4 'lol u h8 cuz u jelly' - I've been upvoting (and applauding) his other, more abstract posts, because they are well thought out, well written, and provide value in a concise way, which I something I appreciate.
EDIT: typos
FieldLine 10y ago
I'm not going to debate whether it happened or not - you say it did, obviously I can't prove otherwise.
It isn't the fact that you were grinding and making out with a girl that doesn't sit well with me. The part I have trouble believing is how you have casual conversation about how you both are Machiavellian. Are you Dark Triad? Probably. Your stories/posts certainly indicate it. Can a woman that you know fit the description you provided in the post? Possibly. I haven't met such a woman, but it isn't beyond belief.
But this:
People don't talk like that. People don't go around saying "oh hey, I noticed that you're pretty Machiavellian. Yeah, I'm like that too."
People don't sit around discussing how they manipulate people in the abstract sense. Sure, maybe you guys can discuss how she's manipulating her chump husband, but the interaction with her that you described seems weird. It seems unnatural.
But hey, like you said, maybe I'm not hanging out with the right people so I can't fathom it.
OmLaLa 10y ago
I paraphrased this poorly. Here's the long and short:
The conversation began with her talking about how fake she had to be in order to tolerate other people, then it went into the nature of man according to Locke and how "all men are flawed", then into how amoral Lock had made her, then she asked "Have you ever heard of Machiavellianism?", I said yes, she came out as Machiavellian and how she manipulated people to her own best interest, then I said something along the lines of "I can relate" then she said "you're Machiavellian too, aren't you? I could tell", then came the compliment, then the line that you're referencing.
That feels like an unnecessary amount of exposition given the context of the post, but if you need it to feel like this is more "digestible", there you have it.
But here...
...is where you're wrong. Something as rare as speaking with another Machiavellian will absolutely get abstract like this. It's something you keep to yourself for years at a time, even from those closest to, so for once, to have the opportunity to let that "Monster" out and freely talk about it without prosecution doesn't seem strange or "weird" to me in the slightest.
midlifedick 10y ago
If she is a high level corporate type, this wouldn't be surprising at all. Half the job of senior corporate execs is manipulation and half is related to the business.
Talking specifics and sources of your thinking is rare, because people don't like to reveal, but they will easily and freely talk tactics.
It also fits with your description of a studied Machiavellian. High level senior execs are smart, driven, curious, voracious readers who learn and apply as part of their personality.
Attempts to discredit are only because it does not fit into someone's realm of possibility, though I must admit its dramatic and intriguingly written. Even the "warning to all those who enter" at the top of the posts that add the sense of danger.
I love the series of posts.
Why do you dismiss the possibility of her actual sexual interest? I understand your hesitation, but that may have been your beta moment. She immediately seized it and lined up girlfriends for you, just like her beta husband. Are you another domino she lined up?
sir_wankalot_here 10y ago
I think there is a need for these type of people to share their knowledge in a non-judgemental environment. So I have had men and women discuss with me step by step how they set things up and played the parts. In some cases the play too many months to achieve.
There was a comment here that no one would talk about using violence in an ooff hand manner people regularly exposed to it will crack jokes about it and it becomes as common as what did I eat for breakfast.
A guy gets hit, people will discuss what caliber he got hit with, hownje fucked up. Did he attempt to escape the hit, what went wrong. How many hitmen where there. Was there one or two etc.
I no longer hang out with people that discuss these types of topics. I don't want to get perforated, all the air will leak out of me ☺

You, sir, are a god. Played out with the precision and polish of a movie.

OmLaLa 10y ago
Illimitableman covers this well. There are two types of Machiavellians: Kings and Generals.
Kings typically have a lot of difficulty "wearing a mask" as they manipulate others simply for the boost it gives their ego. They are also clumsy in their strategies and implementations, so they are more prone to get caught. I'm guessing this is the type of Machiavellians you've seen.
NaughtyFred 10y ago
You mention you have an "inner circle"..
Are they true friends or a bunch of people who derive mutual benefit from their association?
Regardless of which it is, do they all share your outlook or are some oblivious?
OmLaLa 10y ago
I don't have any true friends who know "what I am", if I'm being completely honest.
The very nature of being Machiavellian invokes doubt. If they knew what I really was, even if they accepted it, they'd constantly question if anything I say/action I take was done with ulterior motive.
I have this issue with my dad.
He knows what I am (he had me tested at an early age) which makes it extremely difficult to determine whether any kind action or word is genuine. I developed at a young age, so he's had this problem with me for as long as I can remember.
And I've manipulated him countless times, most of which he'll never know about. But when I was young my form and implementation as sloppy, so hes caught me a few times and is ultimately hurt. It's a wedge driven between us even though we both want nothing more than to be closer.

SW9876 10y ago
I thought Scarlet was your target. Also, her SMV is higher than yours? What kind of man is in her SMV? Pro athlete?
OmLaLa 10y ago
She was before the "revelation". Pursuing another Machiavellian however feels... dangerous. Like going in blind. You never know which IOIs are geniune and you don't/wouldn't know if she was escalating on with some ulterior motive in mind. I'll have to think on how I'd approach her.
Yes, by a fair amount.
That's a good question. I've never actually seen her "honestly" IOI with a man before, nor did she address it. I'll have to ask.
[deleted]
SW9876 10y ago
Yea, of course, but what ulterior motive would be dangerous? The main issue I see, personally, is that I would have a hard time maintaining pure composure. Revealing how she's a Machiavellian is a great way to lower my defenses. All of a sudden she comes off as a genuine and awesome person, instead of the usual vapidity you get from women. As a result, it's easy to lower your guard, when you actually need to be on high alert.
Also, if there was any girl i'd develop oneitis for it's probably her. It's far to easy to think she's different (because she is), but it's just not worth it.
letsdocrack 10y ago
This struck a cord with me. Particularly the line where she said she was lonely.
I have a similar relationship with a female friend of mine whom I work with, we're both summer camp counselors so "work" is a stretch, more like hangout for 9 weeks each summer. Last fall she visited me and we went out to a couple bars, halfway through the night both of us are pretty drunk and we begin to talk about each others' sex lives.
It was at that point we both start to realize each others' manipulative, machiavellian nature. This was before I discovered TRP and both of us are incredibly taken back that we had found another person like ourselves. It is true that most people can never comprehend what it's like to be a natural machiavellian and it can be somewhat difficult never really having the normal world fully understand you. Both of us are very sexually confident and sexually adventurous and juggle plates, but it gets lonely. Finding another machiavellian person is one thing, finding a machiavellian female is like finding a fucking unicorn, it's also really goddamn hot.
[deleted] 10y ago
Yep, part 4 is here.
Looks like we won't have to lynch you.
All joking aside, has Scarlett heard of TRP?
[deleted]
GrammerNaziParadox 10y ago
That's the problem with being Machiavellian, you'd don't develop any real relationships.

I agree. I'd like to learn more. and OmLaLa has written a lot of great posts for the community. OmLaLa, you have a lot of material already posted, all it might need is a slight review/edit and boom, you have a pre-made collection of blog posts.
I pull out my machiavelli when I need to. About a year ago I was on a road trip, pretty much homeless. Pulled out the machiavelli to find a new friends who would let me crash at their place. These days I do it for fun at bars, just to see what happens.
with that said, I would like to learn more
OmLaLa 10y ago
I love how you describe Machiavellianism like a debit card. I'll definitely consider taking the blog route.
mojo_juju 10y ago
Hahahaha!!! damn, I did not realize it came off that way. But hey, that works too.
Gotta do what ya gotta do. I was staying at a hostel, literally on my last bit of liquid cash. So I went to a nearby bar and told myself "Alright, tonight, I am going to make some friends. And tomorrow, I'll have a place to stay."
And boom. Started being friendly (I forced myself to be as charming and witty as possible. It's amazing what we can do when we have no other options than to succeed at the mission at hand.). Showed off some recent design work to get people engaged in conversation. Ended up getting about 6-8 people sitting and rotating around me having a jolly conversation about creative pursuits.
Met an awesome, intelligent dude around my age whose parents let me crash at their place for 6 weeks. The same night met a girl whose friend let me stay on his farm, and gave me my own private cabin, for 4 months.
After reading your OP, I torrented some Locke and Machiavelli. Gonna read up on the masters.
OmLaLa 10y ago
My writing prose isn't nearly as good as u/Illimitableman, although I have thought about starting up a blog in the near future.
BradPill 10y ago
You write a lot here, which is appreciated. Yes, touch those posts up and you could start a blog - but realize it takes commitment and discipline. Spread your posts, but make sure to post regularly (so always keep some posts in stock for those 'writers-block' moments).
One thing: learn to edit. Too many distracting typos/omissions. When you want to push the publish-button, save it and step away for an hour or so - then spend 10 - 20 minutes re-reading (spell-checker) and fixing. PM me in case you want to know more.
[deleted] 10y ago
Not too many steps from blog to frank underwood hey
IllimitableMan 10y ago
Don't need to be a master wordsmith to start a blog, and by blogging, eventually your writing will improve as a cause of habit (I can attest to that, just read some of my earliest articles.)
If you have an audience and they like your shit, it makes sense. Look at it as a portfolio of your writings. You can even monetise down the road and make a little coin to just basically write about shit you would love to write for your own sake anyway. This is what I did. I used to just post threads here too. Then I started a blog. Now the people want the blog in a book. It's very rewarding.
Rollo got his start on sosuave.net, at one point we were all just forum posters. Whether you rise to blogger and stay there depends on how much you've got to say and if you've got the time to say it.
Best of luck whatever you decide.

Considering oneself a Prince, or worthy of manipulative social measures is narcissistic and will only serve to make you a lonely untrusted old man/woman. There is value in knowing it is better to be feared than loved, but it is wisdom to seek love. You are not the Prince, you are not above your peers. Put away the games and get real. You'll be liked, trusted, and respected for it.
Paid_Internet_Troll 10y ago
Your statement is demonstrably false.
The people who loudly declare that "I don't play games" or "I don't want to live my life being fake, so I tell it like it is" or, God forbid, who say "I just want to be loved for who I am" are usually the biggest losers and the most lonely people you'll ever meet.
People who know how to smile politely when they're thinking "bitch, please" and who know how to blow smoke enough to make some blowhard asshole feel comfortable enough to stop trying to AMOG and calm the fuck down, are usually pretty happy and surrounded by people who want to be around them.
TLDR: The game is getting played by the rules, whether you like them or not. You can play to win, or you can pass your turn and lose.
Redpill_Hannibal 10y ago
did she really use "domino" analogy? just like illimituicantspellhisname in post that you linked here
what a coincidence
im calling this story fake, it is like you are giving us things that we want to hear, some soap opera for TRP
i laughed
also you are commenting under every post as if you wanted to give more credibility to your story than needed
nedshred 10y ago
Might be reaching for the tinfoil hat a bit here, but..If he's machiavellian, like he says he is, why the fuck should he care to tell the truth to some strangers on the Internet.
OmLaLa 10y ago
Your justifying the validity of my FR off of some loose relation to an illimitable man post and because I'm commenting on my post? You're grasping for straws. If you check any of my other posts, you notice that I always stay in the comments section to RPer's answer questions. My response you is the same as it was to UrusG.
Redpill_Hannibal 10y ago
man, what straws? you literally wrote that you are liar in the first sentence of your post, how am i supposed to belive that the rest is true?
Mr_Badass 10y ago
One of the main reasons I love playing the Sims 4 is because it fits my machiavellian nature. I literally have control over other people and decide their fates .
FrameWalker 10y ago
I worry you give Scarlett too much power. Telling her what your goals are gives her leverage over you. She can twist your arm. I'd have kept my mouth shut and played dumb/cool. I would've assumed Scarlett was shit testing and responded accordingly. Can't wait to read about the impending threesome
OmLaLa 10y ago
I understand your concern here. I had my hesitations as well.
Had she been any other type of woman or if she hadn't given me clear evidence she was the Machiavellian she claimed to be, I wouldn't have said a word on it.
But, considering she was one, and considering she was a "learned" Machiavellian, I knew it would be highly unlikely that she'd act against me without reason (Machiavellians feed off of "friendships", "learned/Advisors" feed off of "naturals/Kings & Generals"); she wouldn't endanger our "relationship" for no/small benefit (only "Kings" do that and Kings are naturals).
My fear, however, still rests on why she stepped out so... openly. That's out of a Machiavellian's character. I think she still has some ulterior motive beyond our continued partnership. I'll hopefully find out more tomorrow.
Neroky 10y ago
If I were to encounter another Machiavellians I´d do the same as she did. With her looks and knowledge she probably thinks that she is at the top, looking down on others since that is what superior people do(being humble about it is a personal preference). You see the whole picture from the top, you are aware of things that people down there aren´t. Being at the top may give you a sense of alienation, you don´t associate with others due to you being on a higher level. Now suddenly while looking down at the others, another one approaches you from the side and see the same that you do and felt the same way you did. The other one may see things that you don´t and vice versa. Thus both will benefit.
That´d be the reason why I would be so open. "Finally a peer to exchange with and benefit from." But at the same time I´d discard the relationship if it proves to be not beneficial anymore.
One hand washes the other. She just found one.
You still have the advantage of not being slave to your emotions, she is. Stay on your toes friend.

It was when I was initially developing, but now I don't think about it.
Trust me, I understand the mental toll. I used to beat myself up to the point of tears when I was manipulating peers just to fit in. Now, with my newfound knowledge and after growing into myself, the scale of my strategies has massively grown in scale.

There are quite a few actually. I think the problem is that most wouldn't discuss their open marriage... openly (it's taboo).
I met this particular group through mutual friends, but I believe most open couples/swingers frequent SLS and FET.
While those sites aren't my thing, if you're looking for some local open couples, they’re probably your best bet.
[deleted] 10y ago
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett are rumored to be in an open marriage, for example. People look down on that shit, so they keep it under wraps.

I think there is needs to be a difference between power players and sadists. This Scarlett just sounds like the latter. She will be found out, she should chose her battles and perhaps chose marks that are a little less petty. Maybe she just takes as much as possible from anyone she can.
I think she was gaming you OmLaLa. Youre different than these losers, i'm like you. Are you lonely like me, finally a special person I can relate to. Then fools around with you (escalation) with an excuse so you don't even know whats happening, then plays it off like she doesn't care (the take away). She is prob the type to mess with everyone and everyone and prob gets a kick of the power she has by figuring you out. Maybe were thinking too much.

I don't really believe in the concept of women being out of one's league. In my truly dark days (drug addict/dealer insane person) I fucked women I should rightly have considered so ludicrously far beyond my SMV that it's hilarious in retrospect. At this point I don't really think there is such a thing as a woman that you can't measure up to.
The woman in your story was doing a bunch of things that sound a lot like she's willing to fuck. Did you kiss her? If not, why? I'm curious to hear your reasoning on this part of the story.
OmLaLa 10y ago
I don't really believe in the concept of women being out of one's league.
There are most definitely leagues. The idea of SMV is built around that principle.
SMV is weighed by physique, social value and frame.
Physique: I won't deny that for a 30-something, her physique far surpasses mine. We both use our physique for manipulation purposes (the "halo effect" brings in more worshipers), but in turns of raw genetic benefits, she has me beat.
Social Value: My successes and social network are good, for my age. She's manipulated her way to the top of multiple ladders, corporate, worshipers, etc. And while my ability to influence may be stronger, her potential/propensity to influence is much stronger.
Frame: I have her beat here. Being "learned" and not "natural", lot of her Machiavellianism is theoretical while mine is in trial/error. That said, I can feign or "wear a mask" better than she can, as she's oft prone to inadvertantly speak from her objective side should she get to emotionally involved in the topic of conversation.
Still, she has me beat 2 to 3. And I'm man enough to admit when a woman is out of my league. That won't stop me from trying, but I understand that the making out and sex facade was only a part of the greater strategy at play.

Love this series. It's interesting to see two Machiavellians at work. And the 48 laws of power is a great book.
OmLaLa 10y ago
The 48 Laws of Power is the book I live by, my "Bible".
Any aspiring Machiavellian would do well by reading this book to the point of internalization (i.e. to the point where each Law can be referenced in relation to their daily life)

Dude, you need to make some "previously on The Machiavellian approach" reels because shit's getting out of hand.
Truth be told, I really enjoy these Machiavellian insights, but for this one I get the feeling that she should be the one writing the FR. Reminds me of the Man Eater.

You built it up like there were gonna be some crimes involved, but all I saw was sub textual communication. I don't really have any sympathy for people who are so self-absorbed they can't adequately read other people.

The term "Machiavellian" is used to explain a dark-triad psychological framework similar in nature to the late Machiavelli's politically amoral views and beliefs. It's not a literal indoctrination of his passages into real life practices.
The quote from Machiavelli gives a new context when used in juxtaposition to the post. It's purposely taken out of the political context, used to make an alternative statement. It's similiar in that way, just as the amorality of Machivelli was used out of context to describe and ultimately define the nature of this particular dark triad phenomenon.
sir_wankalot_here 10y ago
Politics means interaction with people. Politics are constantly going on in any social group, whether it is an official political party or a group of guys going to the bar.
Paid_Internet_Troll 10y ago
Every interaction with other human beings is political.
Also, be careful when telling people what they "must" do with information, because you'll (a) sound like an ass, and (b) will be ignored or challenged, unless they're young children and you're their father or their preschool teacher.

"I asked her what made her decide to reveal all of this to me. She said that for one, because she was drunk. Acceptable excuse, I guess."
If it were me, I'd have read this as a play or an angle of some sort.
OmLaLa 10y ago
I'd say both reasons were a play. No Machiavellian would openly reveal themselves without some ulterior motive.
She used drunkenness for its commonality and loneliness as a means to invoke an empathetic reaction.
[deleted] 10y ago
Or she could actually just be lonely. Machiavellian tendencies will get you what you want. But what you want, in this case, will never actually make you happy or satisfied.
And I'm not speaking from some wishy-washy, feel-good point of view. I'm speaking from biology and your brain chemistry. You can chase dopamine and serotonin highs for as long as you want, but eventually your body builds a resistance and it just doesn't work like it used to. There's only one brain chemical that your body doesn't build resistance to over time: oxytocin.
Humans are social creatures, and a pair bonding species. Machiavellian behavior in people who aren't actually psychopaths always leads to a sense of estrangement and disillusionment. YOU clearly are a psychopath, or to use a more technical term, you exhibit strong anti-social behavioral disorder tendencies. But if she actually learned how to manipulate, she is not the same as you.
Also, this is moral relativism, not moral absolutism. I am assuming you used "abhor" incorrectly, as someone who abhors the concept of objective morality would probably feel at ease being a Machiavellian manipulator.
sir_wankalot_here 10y ago
I "think" is an attempt to gain trust or prove usefulness.
dapowa 10y ago
That is a very succinct way to describe the garbled mess I had in my head, thanks for the response.

How and where did you meet Scarlett?
OmLaLa 10y ago
I actually met her through her husband. I'm "Blackanese" and spent a fair amount of time in Japan, so when her husband's friends found out they would constantly go on about how I had to meet her.
She's Blackanese too, born and raised in Japan.
[deleted]
icanhazTRP 10y ago
Both of you born and raised there? The entire Machiavelianism just made much, much more sense. Especially in her case -- women there can be ruthless.
I lived there for 4 years and I'm half Japanese myself.
Great series so far. And I'll probably reread the entire thing again with this new info in mind.

you make fucking the mega sluts seem so hard... do you think the other 50 dicks that smell exactly how you wish yours smelled required some ultra-mega-slut-supreme to assist in the manipulation?
