Not surprising in western countries, but even the Japanese man has a sizeable amount of body fat too. Perhaps this is a reflection of the downsizing of jobs requiring manual labor in the developed world, or just the decadence that came with too much surplus food and body acceptance.
Betas will see this and wonder why their wives and girlfriends no longer pay attention to them, even though they're "average". No woman would ever want a man who's simply "average", at least not until the desperation of the impeding wall looms in her face. Betas will wonder why their love doesn't get them anything in return, even though they're "average".
Beware mediocrity. Because, no matter how much SJWs say that everybody should be treated the same, it will not happen.
However, if other men are content to let themselves go, fine by me. The better for the rest of us.

How can you be surprised about the japanese man?
Look up "Karoshi," AKA death from overwork. It is not uncommon for japanese workers to slave away at the desk for 12 hrs or more daily.
When you have to work that much, of course you're going to get skinny-fat (which can be just as bad as being fat) and be physically weak.
Position5hero 11y ago
Look- In America, the 80/20 rule doesn't exist.
We have a 90/10 rule because of feminized culture, and obesity
The encouraging news? Getting into that top 10% is easy as hell since the bar is DAMN LOW.
foldpak111 11y ago
It doesn't matter if you are short, overweight, indian, black, bald, whatever. As long as you aren't a 3/10 physically and a RP man, and you work out hard and focus on career, you are in the top ten percent. All the beta chumps out there make it too easy.

Remember that study OKCupid released that showed that women rated the majority of all men as significantly less attractive than average?
This should explain it. Male average today is flat out awful, particularly in Americanized areas.
Azothlike 11y ago
So is the female average.
This data does not change the fact that women have straight-fucked perceptions and expectations of male attractiveness; the entire US is fat, not just the men.
masturbator9000 11y ago
If fat women wouldn't usually come with fat tits, they would be rated way less too.
Coming from a guy who's hooked up with ugly chicks before simply because I liked their big breasts.
Subtletorious 11y ago
Rather than the 50th percentile, the 80th percentile (top 20%) would be very interesting. That population segment (defined somewhat arbitrarily) is what Red Pillers should be observing.
However, BMI formula can't tell the difference between muscle and fat. Skinny-fat and ripped give the same BMI reading for a given weight.
thredditsowaway 11y ago
Totally agree with this. That said, one doesn't need to be top 20% in the fitness sense to be top 20% overall. Even with a body like this, if a guy has an aesthetic face, 2 inches of height over the average, decent style, and just a little bit of confidence, you can probably get away with the beer gut. Compare him to the next 4 random men you see. Our guy would still probably be the top out of 5 (top 20%).
Cuntshitassfuck 11y ago
Looks like Netherlands is doing pretty well. Wasn't there also an article recently saying their women are the happiest in the world even though they statistically have a more traditional life and are not career or equality focused etc?
Nah, couldn't be, that wouldn't fit the feminist narrative.
lillojohn 11y ago
I live in the Netherlands. Challenge accepted.
RXRob 11y ago
I would call that fat. That's a good thing because it means my lowest targets are still well above the western average
jeremyfirth 11y ago
Current height: 5' 11". Current weight: 206.2. Current BMI: 28.9. Fuck. I am not average in any other area or category in my life.
Now I know what my top priority needs to be.
ArcadesRed 11y ago
Just put in my BMI stats. 6'1" 200lb. It says I am a fat ass, when in reality I have about 10-15lb of extra weight that I like to keep. I kept lowering my weight. The stupid chart says I am still healthy at 140lb. Seriously? Who would EVER look at a guy my height and say "yup, your very healthy at 140, good job!" Thats what I see when I see a starving person, healthy. Who the hell figures this stuff? In highschool I was 170lb and was thin as a rail and could see my muscle fibers moving under my very thin skin during cross country season. I didn't think I was very healthy at 170. I had no upper body to speak of at that point.
squishles 11y ago
They used to split the bmi charts for women and men, now I think they just widen the bands.
eg 6'1" 140 pound woman would be on the skinny side, but wouldn't call her underweight
Sovs 11y ago
You sound chubby, what is your waist measurement?
[deleted] 11y ago
It's surprisingly easy to be average ["the default"].....by definition, the average is the easiest thing to be.....more TRP circlejerk garbage being upvoted.
KJL13 11y ago
The average decrease in height is most likely due to the rise in the hispanic population. I'm not huge at 6', but I tower over all my hispanic coworkers and when I'm with my white friends I'm pretty average and sometimes shorter.
[deleted] 11y ago
Is there something like this for females? I would be highly interested in that.
Schrodingersdawg 11y ago
With 50% of America obese, I wouldn't want to see that...
[deleted] 11y ago
Female Average BMI in the U.S. is apparently 28.7 – about a point away from obesity, 30.
Something like this is the American female average.
tallwheel 11y ago
It can't be posted for fear of hurting women's feelings.
[deleted] 11y ago
It's an interesting point I've noticed looking for the analogous female version.
When talking about guys being overweight, it's readily accepted as a health problem, unattractive, and something that the guy needs to get under control.
When talking about women being overweight, they're just being held to an unrealistic standard of beauty.
tallwheel 11y ago
I have a feeling women who see this are going to have a sudden urge to move to the Netherlands.
b00m_shakalaka 11y ago
You think they're bitter and lonely now? Imagine if they went there and had to compete with Dutch girls.
tallwheel 11y ago
Yeah. I considered that, but on the other hand, most American bitches are too dumb to know that they aren't considered princesses throughout the rest of the known world. They will be shocked to find out they don't measure up when they get there.
ruckus17 11y ago
Love looking at things like this. Nice to see how much valuing my health and appearance puts me above normal
I'm a tick above average height (5'11"), a tick above average weight (185#), with an "overweight" BMI at 26. But I only have a 32 inch waist and a BF% around 15-18%. BMI can suck my balls.
[deleted] 11y ago
15 to 18 is high. Unless you are on a bulk, then you should eat less or move more. My highest has been 13, and at lowest, during wrestling season, I was at 3. I didn't get defined abs until I hit5%
ADDSail 11y ago
Yeah, that's bullshit. 5% is paper thin skin with crazy striations and vascularity. Look at Alberto Nunez DEXA scan at 6.7% - top bodybuilders have a very hard time getting anywhere near 5%. 3% is Andreas Munzer level, arguably the most lean bodybuilder of all time, and not sustainable for more than a day or so.
Visible "6-pack" abs usually happen around the 10-12% range but there's huge variability. Some guys will have softer bulging abs at 15-17%.
ruckus17 11y ago
Correct. My % just an estimate. I have the "bulging abs" look right now. After a hard day of training I can see a very light 6 pack, but general day to day they are not visible. I have a decently defined adonis belt too. I know I can get the defined abs, but that's not my primary goal right now.
I have been adding/weight muscle since I joined a gym in April. The few months before that I lost 15+ lbs of fat going low carb. I'm basically back to my "old" weight, but with a much different composition.
[deleted] 11y ago
We did preseason tests, hydro, and that showed what our %was. I ended football season at 185, and wrestled 160. Cutting was 400 calories a day, and 3 workouts a day. I would maintain at 165,and drop the last 5 pounds the day before a duel or tourney.
RedPillSafe 11y ago
American
5' 11"
185 lbs
34" waist
Pretty much the same since high school... I'm 53 years old now.
(yes, I know I'm not average for America)
Cycling is my thing these days because it's easy on the joints.
At one point when I lifted weights I was up to 200 lbs. (15 years ago)
foldpak111 11y ago
Actually the average would be like 5'9.5" 170-180#. Your stats are fine.
Schrodingersdawg 11y ago
Can confirm. Trying to bulk to 220.
[deleted] 11y ago
As an American, i am a typical fat fuck.
copralalic 11y ago
But I'm doing something about it.
[deleted] 11y ago
i know i should too but my life is going to hell in a handbasket. i've be filling my gullet with oatmeal cream pies as a result.

I eat knowing that my life will become much worse in my future. I have found that eathing shit is better than ending my life for the time being so....fatass > dead person at this point in time.
