1) women are women. They're mostly the same, with the same instincts, emotionalism, etc. Some are better than others, but even the best ones are still women.

2) Getting married is fucking stupid. I've been married for closing in on 20 years, and I view it as a huge mistake. I have a Sword of Damocles hanging over my head, and I'm stuck with a woman who has completely changed from who she was when I married her unless I want to burn it all down and lose half of what I worked for.

When did so many ostensibly Red Pilled dudes start thinking marriage was the goal?

So when I see guys in Red Pill spaces acting like marriage, commitment, LTRs are the goal, it makes me wonder if they even read anything or just showed up and started jumping into the conversation.

This is a very good point. I got out of a bad marriage in my early 30s and never looked back. I was young enough to take the hit and rebuild. The only thing that has kept me sane in my subsequent dealings with women has been my refusal to ever sign a legal contract again.

These days I live with a lovely lady who has unfortunately soured with the wall. She clearly wishes she was with a man more suited to her (wealthy devout Catholic who likes spending money on smart possessions and clothes) but since there is no monkey branch on offer at present, she remains with me, at least once a week complaining about our not being married. Since we have a family, I won't set myself free but if a monkey branch ever appeared, I would (sad to say) have less of a burden in life and more chance of joy.

She was very much wife material once. I told everyone she was the best woman I had ever met. I would have done anything for her but sign that contract. I knew that to sign that contract could be a mistake. I was right. She tells me "if your cared you would marry me and I would be a better wife to you" This is illogical but it's amazing how many guys do marry in the hope that the marriage will create happiness of itself. So the relationship was incomplete without a marriage certificate like a gun to your head. Will putting a gun to your head make it better??
