I see that in the manosphere a lot, but I think the reality is more nuanced than the idea that most men will never be the object of any woman's genuine sexual desire.
As I have repeatedly noted; nobody who knows me in person has ever mistaken me for a Chad. Granted: I have some subtle attributes that demonstrate unapologetic masculinity, but when it comes to physicality...not so much. My colleagues joke about how I look like I live in a hollow tree and bake cookies. (That's a reference to the Keebler Elves for those who don't know. Don't feel bad for me... it's all in good fun..You should hear the crap I give them right back.)
That said, even I've been on the receiving end of animal lust from women with high SMV, even in the context of very short time frames. As any married man can attest, a wife's level of desire waxes and wanes due to a dizzying array of factors, but that's not what I'm talking about: I'm referring to women who know little or nothing about me other than seeing me in some context.
That's my rather long-winded way of saying that I think that most men do experience genuine desire, but only on rare occasions.
But even then there's nuance. How do we define "genuine desire" from a woman? Do IOIs count? How obvious must they be and how can we possibly quantify that? I've seen women checking me out in all sorts of public venues, but that's a far cry from being willing to bang. Could I have gamed some of those women into bed? Certainly. What percentage? I'd guess it's in the low single digits... maybe even a fraction of 1%, I dunno.
I'm not humble-bragging here: I know what I look like, and I don't think that every woman whose gaze lingers in my general direction wants "Summa' dis." Shoot... most of it is probably just curiosity at what I'm wearing or what I'm doing, which tend to be incongruous with what you'd expect from someone "like me." But occasionally those looks have been followed up by attempts to escalate and even straight-up propositions.
But still... blatant displays of lust are exceedingly rare.
