The main issue here is women not wanting men that are like men, they want men that are like them. Gays and girls are much fonder of iphones than straight men. Not saying men that use iphones are gay, but have you ever seen a gay man with an android? No, me neither. Or its incredibly rare.

Her review (after a few years): Wow - this phone is better, costs less than half as much, has a way better camera, 2x better battery life and is still working after 3 years!!! Incredible. Her crapple phones seemed to break after a year or so.
Me too. I get a re-conditioned android about every 3 years. I actually think that mobile phone budget is inverse to wealth. Students, homeless, welfare junkies and people with negative wealth? They all have the latest iphones.
in my south eastern euro country (and most of them in this poorest area of europe), your phone is kind of your signal of status and wealth. people can get fake rolexs and fake branded clothing (in turkey its peanuts for high quality fakes), but kind of hard to get a fake iphone 14 pro max. Most people have androids, but people absolutely look at what level of phone youre using as one of the first things.
i use an old cracked to pieces iphone 11, and earn upwards of 10x the average salary. but im not from here or privy to this culture. the iphone absolutely has cost me some ass, pulling it out and seeing their face turn to a frown.
Its definitely a status symbol to walk around with a 2k phone (What they cost here after taxes) when the average person makes 700 a month. Its a symbol of you having your shit together kind of.
But the designer clothes thing is not true, i worked at neiman marcus in california, the type of money that walked through that door to buy designer clothing was insane. Ive met countless actual billionaires. One of the biggest regrets of my life was not using this time to get myself married or at least connected. But i was young and dumb.
That's not weird. They're gold diggers. An iphone signals that a man will waste money to impress women. Same with a fancy car, fancy clothes, fancy watch, etc. Warren Buffet drives a 2014 Cadillac XTS. The most popular vehicle amongst rich people is the Ford F150 pick up truck.
