Fellas,

Me and this chick have been seeing each other in our building’s gym for the last two weeks. Heavy eye contact and smiling from her as she either walked by or was leaving.

5th time seeing her I got her attention and we started chatting. I could tell she was kind of the shy type. I told her after 5 minutes of rapport that I was leaving the country for 3 weeks in 2 days, and asked if she wanted to grab some food tonight or tomorrow. She goes on to say something like, “Well I’m kind of seeing someone right now, it’s kinda new. But if you want my number maybe we can meet up as a group or something sometime.”

I said maybe as it was kinda weird (but also, she’s shy) I but joked around some more and got the digits. She was easy to find on insta after getting her name but I haven’t followed her. She’s been “seeing” this “new” guy for like 8 months…. Ouch. Feel bad for him.

So. Is she bored and trying to monkey branch? I’ll be at the gym tomorrow and so will she. Should I chat her up some more and go for another option, like walking with her around the neighborhood or something for a “cool off lap” after the gym to get to know her better? Would be a good use of plausible deniability… What do we think?
