I'm not sure is 34 is "middle-aged", but it's certainly old enough, I feel like I should be over this.

See, when it comes to WORK, I'm actually pretty confident. I'm in the process of starting my own marketing firm, and even on a personal level, I'm pretty proud of the things I've accomplished, and things I've had to overcome.

When it comes to women, though... I'm just lost.

I've never had a girlfriend or relationship of any kind, I've only successfully asked someone out twice (the first didn't go well, the second I just couldn't figure out how to "escalate"). I'm not "looking for The One" or any shit like that, but it's honestly nice just spending time with someone you can connect with, and I just straight up need more practice.

It's hard not to feel like kind of a loser when you aren't achieving ANY level of success with women.

And I feel like it's only going to get worse, since I'm spending all this time and energy (and money) on building my own marketing company, I'm spending entire days never even leaving my house. I relocated about 6 months ago, and I'm helping take care of my dad as well, and since I don't have any friends in the area anyways, my social life is quite literally non-existent (I play games to connect with friends probably once a week, but they're the other side of the country).

I dunno... as much as I've been feeling good about the direction of my personal and professional future, this has just been nagging at me lately. And I know this shit tends to be pretty poisonous, infecting your confidence in EVERYTHING if you don't find some way to address it. I'm just at a loss on what EXACTLY I need to be doing.
