1 week ago I was spending the day with my GF of 6 months. I told her in advance that I would have a meeting in the evening and that she needed to leave then. The meeting is super confidential stuff. 10 mins before the time rolls around, I say I have meeting now. It's rainy outside and she starts to be upset because she "doesn't walk to walk home in the rain". I say she can borrow my coat/hat/gloves. She gets really mad that I won't let her stay until it stops raining. She swears and leaves

The next day, she texts me saying she felt extremely worthless and that if a boyfriend truly values someone, he would let her stay. Etc. I interpret this as her insecurity and need for comfort. She felt that my asking her to leave was not caring about her. I decided to reassure her and say that I care about her a lot, but that I can't have anyone here during confidential meetings. She seems to be reassured

A few days later, I ask her if she wants to hang out. She says "oh I've gone to X city for a few days". This city is 4 hours away. She didn't tell me she was going away or for how long. I ask her who she's with and she says "I just felt like visiting and walking around".

I said "Why didn't you tell me you were going? I would have come with you"

She says "I assumed you would be working or didn't have time to travel"

That's it. I feel conflicted. On the one hand, I have always been "alpha" and she has always shown quite a lot of insecurity. I have had to reassure her a lot that I like her. She interprets a lot of things as personal rejection, like me having meetings or not contacting her for a few days. it's also fine for her to do things on her own. But it does feel weird that she traveled alone to somewhere far away for 3 days without letting me know. This has not happened before. I also don't want to start saying I need to know where she is. Conflicted

What do you think? Strange or nothing of importance?
