On TRP we've discussed at length the economics of sex and the realities of the sexual marketplace. In line with this, 'game' can be considered as your marketing/sales plan. For this reason, we should acquaint ourselves with the basics of marketing in business, otherwise known as the four Ps, and how these relate to game.
Product: This is what you're selling. In game context, this is you. Like a business, you can maximize your success by optimizing your product. That means, lifting, making money, and generally being high value. Even the best salesmen and marketers can't get very far with a weak product, so invest in self improvement first, foremost and always and you'll be much more successful.
Placement: Where/how does a prospective buyer get the product. For you, this means knowing how to optimize the area you live in, or moving to a better area if you have that option. On a more micro level, this means simply being where the attractive women are. I come from a state where women seem to literally hibernate during the winter, so believe me when I tell you that even the highest SMV men with the tightest game won't get a girl when there are no girls to get.
Promotion: How you make the sale. This involves getting your frame down and understanding DHV, as well as which strategy to use in a given market. What works on the chick in the club usually doesn't work on the girl in a bookstore, and what works on the 18 y.o. won't be the exact same as what works on the 29 y.o. You need to calibrate your approach to your 'consumer'.
Price: In business, price is the cost to purchase your product, or what you sell your product for. The number 1 factor in your price is the product quality. Given an equal price, everyone will go for the higher quality product. This means you will usually lose out to the higher SMV man. This also means understanding when you've priced yourself out of the market, and need to either lower the price (and your standards) or go back and upgrade the product.

Finally a post talking about the sexual marketplace which is what i thought this sub was supposed to be about when i joined. Too bad you didn't get any farther than stating the obvious

Well there's AIDA, which stands for Attention Interest Desire Action.
Attention: make yourself noticeable; either wear colourful clothes or stand out on the dancefloor
Interest: Dominate others, show that you are an alpha
Desire: Teasing her, passing her shit tests, kino, etc.
Action: Closing
And you need to be competent in every 4 of them to succeed, e.g. you can't make up for a lack of desire with more action.
Oh, and there's different strategies to approach a market, two popular ones are the penetration and the skimming strategies; the penetration strategy says, that you should start with a low price to get some attention (start with ugly ones) and then move up when you can afford it (when you have enough women thinking "Why isn't he hitting on me")

That's just pickup which is why the order matters. That's not what I'm talking about. Pickup is really just a bunch of tactics to get you from not knowing the girl to f-closing. On a basic level, there is a minimum amount of value that a girl demands before she is willing to buy into you. Like any real life marketplace, it is filled with imperfections that you need to take advantage of to be successful. The most popular products are rarely the best they are just marketed better.
Also I think your preselection strategy is poor. How hot the girl is everything. Also girls know their own hotness pretty well actually. If they see you get rejected by an uglier girl it's over for you.

He's broken sexual marketing down into 4 important aspects. While some of this is intuitive, it's great to see it broken down so we can think about it and discuss it.

You don't gain anything by talking about the marketplace by describing how it works in equilibrium. It's not productive to say if you want more then offer more. Even the biggest bluepiller knows that and that is why this whole sub is filled with "jus lift bruuuh".
I don't want to make a long post so i'll just throw out a few scraps. We are all out to get the most value, not be the most value. It's just raising your value is a reliable way to get more value. Other ways get you results far faster. And you can get "deals" the same way as in any other marketplace: Buy low, sell high - counter hypergamy by taking advantages of imbalances in the SMP by location. I grew up in Palo Alto so I know that making 200k/year isn't going to do you shit. But moving a few zip codes over and I can bait with that money, use it to acquire social status pretty much for free and if anything the girls are hotter there. Common advice is to lift, act alpha, and go to bars to pick up women. You aren't innovating. You are working the commodity market and not the auction market. What would be good is be ready to approach at any time and use day game because being able to scout out our girls means you can work towards your strengths and their demands simultaneously. This is getting long already but a few others ideas include beta game, price hiding, sunk costs, and selling yourself as an investment.

I like your approach. You really should write a few posts to elaborate a bit.

this would be a refreshing post to read if you went further into detail.

Agreed, definitely make this a post

Great way of compartmentalizing it. Easy to see a general path for noobies. Work on the product, after the product is decent enough, rush it out there and start learning how to place it. Promotion can really only be learned in the field, so it's important to get place yourself in an environment conducive to rapid attempts. Then once you start getting laid and it all starts to come together, then you realize need to nut up and start approaching / optimizing your product for the hotter girls.

Seeing yourself as the product and making the effort to improve your positioning makes sense. But AFC's tend to see girls as the product, and they act like desperate buyers eager to purchase at any price.
The buyer and seller roles are determined by the SMV of each participant. The higher value person holds the buyer's power. The lower value person must prove themselves worthy because they are NOT the buyer in that interaction.
Chumps gravitate to the hottest girls and act like eager buyers. They're oblivious to projecting value and destroy what little they have with target hunting, pouncing and other beta displays.
EDIT: OP missed the most powerful of the 5 P's... Positioning.

Here's something I wrote from a business-building perspective on positioning strategy...
Create Distinctions:
Position your business in a positive light. When a prospect makes comparison between you and any of your competitors, you want to be the clear winner.
It’s not enough to BE distinctive, you need to provide clear and compelling evidence that people can easily recognize. Create numerous marks of distinction that make it easy for people to choose you.
In your marketing, strive to portray excellence at everything a prospect considers as criteria for selection. Along the same lines, strive for excellence in your service at everything a customer considers indicative of great service. It’s a beauty contest and you want to be the winner.
Provide compelling evidence of:
Success – Look like a winner. Your signage, frontage, décor should project a successful image.
Credibility – Provide clear evidence that you know what you’re talking about and are good at what you do. Convincingly position yourself as an ACE – Authority, Celebrity and Expert.
Supportive – Project a helpful, constructive approach as opposed to purely mercenary. Offer valuable content.
Affinity – Convey a friendly, inviting approach. Your marketing, phone response and culture should project warmth and caring.
Build distinctions in your marketing and facility to support your brand image, so that in person you can focus on being warm and friendly instead of self-promotional.
Your marketing itself can be your primary distinction. With a leader’s voice, your empathetic message can connect and resonate on a personal level far beyond anyone else vying for their attention. You stand out like a beacon in a dreary landscape.

Too bad most PUA's are trying to short the stock.
O3EAN 12y ago
Do you mean lowering the value of sex? I vaguely remember reading something about this, could you elaborate?
[deleted] 12y ago
theyre trying to sell something before they have it. (acting alpha while not actually being alpha)
[deleted] 12y ago
What we do determines who we are, this is the core philosophy of the masculine mindset.
Thinking people are born into who they are is the core of the feminine mindset.
dman8000 12y ago
Attitude is a large part of being alpha.
O3EAN 12y ago
Ah ok, guessing that has an overall negative impact on society.
