A lot of people here talk about generic redpill advice in regards to women, but I noticed that the peace of mind and one's soul are badly neglected. Being a stoic is preached in the community but not talked about nearly enough.
Today I wanted to share with you a stoic concept that helped me deal with the "bad" in life. It's called Amor Fati which roughly translates to “love of fate”, or “love of one’s fate”.
Amor Fati is the practice of accepting and embracing everything that has happened, is happening, and is yet to happen. It is understanding that the nature of the universe is change, and that without change we would not exist, we would not experience any of this.
How do we apply this concept ? By loving every single thing that happens, be it good or bad.
“You cannot control what happens to you in life, but you can always control what you will feel and do about what happens to you.”
The key here is to not only accept the bad things that happen but to love them. It might seem crazy to think like this at first, but the more you practice it you realise that it's your only option when it comes to dealing with adversity.
Your loving girlfriend that you had oneitis for cheated on you ? Amor Fati
You lost your job ? Amor Fati
You were making great progress at the gym and got injured which led to you losing all your muscle ? Amor Fati
Your best friend betrayed you ? Amor Fati
You went from having a big social circle to being stuck in self isolation because of a global pandemic ? Amor Fati
Loved one passed away ? Amor Fati
Realise that everything you consider bad in this life, be it loss, heartbreak, betrayal or personal failure no matter how bad it is will either crush you or make you stronger. Learn to love every single awful thing you experienced, are experiencing or will experience by understanding that it will sculpt you into the better man of tomorrow.

I'll add that adversity created you. You're one of the winners.

“I leave Sisyphus at the foot of the mountain. ... Each atom of that stone, each mineral flake of that night-filled mountain, in itself, forms a world. The struggle itself toward the heights is enough to fill a man's heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy.”

Nietzche discussed Amor Fati. I googled and studied the term to better internalize Amor Fati.
Crossed this short YouTube video that covers it well if you [anyone] wants to do the same.

Adversity makes you wiser, I can at least attach to this.

Great post. Funnily enough I've thought along these lines for years now. In the Army there is a saying, "Embrace the Suck" it basically means the same as Amor Fati and it's shaped my thought processing for the better.
Fate is fate. You can't change it. You can regret that that it happened and feel sorry for yourself, sure. But, that's only going to multiply your problems.
The more meaningful path lies in practicing stoicism and accepting your situation. Then moving forward in spite of it. Life is all about how we handle our suffering.

That’s because stoics don’t spill thier guts.

Cool, but what about multiple unending bodily pain from an accident years ago
0zark21 3y ago
It's the same for physical pain. You have 2 options, complain about it which will make you more miserable or accept it.
Natural_Singer 3y ago
Long term ongoing pain that isnt curable doesnt stop being miserable just cause you’ve accepted it.
Mr_KenSpeckle 3y ago
It doesn't stop being miserable when you fail to accept it either. So what are you going to do?
VisionRed10 3y ago
I have dealt with chronic pain for years now. Feeling sorry for yourself is only going to make your mental and physical situation worse.
Accept your fate and continue to move forward. The more the suffering, the more the glory. Amor Fati.

Soo whats your choice? What are you going to do?

True man, and I'm sorry to hear about this. However, even if the situation is unfair, taking a negative or defeated attitude will only make you feel worse and make your health worse. The best thing you can do is take a positive approach and decide you're just going to do the best you can with it... And being fully content with whatever that is.
