I was wrestling if this even belongs here, but it is a clear statement on who gets all "benefits" - here the "benefit" of not being mentioned in public - and who not. A female lied and cheated and google protects her.

This is official, an Austrian/German women by the name of Shermin Voshmgir had her doctor title revoked due to plagiarism. You can only find this information if you not only google for her name, but explicitly add "plagiarism" or "doctor title" to your search query.

Even more, the News button on top is not shown if you search for her. You can check it with many celebrities and you always get "All - Images - News" as buttons, but not for her.

Here you can read why, she was a "time" women. Women in tech, so as with Elizabeth Holmes she was "a goddess" and untouchable and praised by the media.

Google is part of that.

Google corp is infested with SJWs. It’s out of control. Just do an image search for ”white couple”, then do an image search for ”black couple”. Do the same thing for ”straight couple” and ”gay couple”.

I get the news tab after searching her name. In the news tab. Most of the results are in another language so they may or may not address your person specific censorship accusation.

Google censors a lot of things. This isn't new. You're post makes it out to be because she's "female". Yet you have not provided any concrete evidence to substantiate such a claim. Not only the claim of censorship but the claim of censorship based on gender.

And I even double checked on my Phone with Android. The news button is hidden behind everything else.

If I search for "Jennifer Anniston" however, News is the second button.

General google search. Nothing special. I don't even get the "News" button via Tor.

Yet you have not provided any concrete evidence to substantiate such a claim.

What "evidence" is there to give? I'm an IT guy, I can produce you any screenshot you want.

That is actually one of the points: You can't prove it. Google gladly censors based on IP addresses if they want to.

Still, this is what I - and other people - get. Most of them are German/Europeans, true, but some from the US as well.

I'm well aware of the ability to modify a webpages javascript to display whatever you want.

I was pushing towards the idea of reproducibility if you were at least able to provide the detailed means to produce it.

IE: Browser, Version, Country(Reproduce with vpn), etc.

I'm not certified IT, so you may come up with a better method. I am capable of understanding the technical jargon and many others on reddit would too.

we are talking about communication. If the sender - google - tells you "wine is great", but tells me "beer is great" how could I prove anything here? I do not control what google replies to you, but - again - that is one of the points. Selective Censorship. Very apparent for the Chinese for that matter.

Google do a lot of a/b testing of subsets of their users. Abcdefgh... Wouldn't be surprised if they categorize people and show "relevant" info. That is Aniston is semi celebrity, therfore news is more "clicky". Just speculation, if I don't find what I expect, I go to duckduckgo or even Bing

Google has an algorithm that arranges tabs and buttons based on the amount, relevancy, and popularity of content. And they constantly run weblabs where they present small sets of people with user interface tweaks to decide what changes they're going to make.

For this specific woman, the news tab is fourth instead of second. Probably because there is more information or more popular information in the other tabs that come first.

People at Google are not sitting down and designing special versions of their webpage that don't have certain buttons or that hide them to protect the reputation of certain women because sexism.

No.

I'm on the train of censorship. And that is actually, especially talking to Hong Kong'ers, how google operates. I also have a special insight into Chinese censorship because of where I live - I've talked to many drunk Chinese - and it is exactly this. Hiding information and even hiding that you could access it.

Think Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe. The information was there, you just needed to ask for it...

The exact same tab is there, just two spots over. It's still perfectly visible on the screen. I see some guy who typed a number wrong in the code, or just an algorithm that sorts tabs by amount of content or some other metric. You see a feminist conspiracy.

Wow. You really have no clue of programming.

We IT guys don't type in numbers. Never have. We are lazy as sh*t. The name "Computer" is actually the name of the profession for - especially - women who - with a specialized typewriter - typed in numbers for the programmers using their programs. That is replace variables with the actual values. This took weeks, so we - lazy, you see? - invented the "Electric Computer" to replace them/make their work easier.

Still, this is not what we do today. You have to be very specific on where to place buttons. And you can be. And you can switch layouts between users on a whim depending on any factor, like ip address or user account and such.

I tried other search engines - DuckDuckGo, Bing, Yahoo, Startpage. None of them have this news. I`m not saying there is no censorship, but this case there is no evidence. And it seems the person of interest is not that famous?

How about Johnny Depp? He is in the news lately..

Bro 2 years is like a lifetime these days..no one remembers what they did two days ago and with all covid and BLM and other shit that's going on no one cares about a old German lady who was once called blockchain queen.. People would have cared if she was from UK/US and had a YouTube channel where she posted videos about blockchain regularly and interviewed people and criticised people... There is hardly any sensationalism in this story/news. No doubt it's not on the frontpage of NY Times
