Ultimately at every man's journey he grows to a point where he is the maker of his destiny, the frame is his, the rules of the game are his, and the valid path is whichever path he decides to travel on and own the journey. The endgame is the one he writes.

Why do you even care that people want to leave a legacy? You don't have to justify what you want. If I want to leave a legacy and be recognized for something and can achieve that (either by having a family or creating something of value to others), I'll god damn well do it.
