The next post in our summer group-read of BRONZE AGE MINDSET. For the next month, I'll be reading Bronze Age Mindset, and dissecting what I find interesting. Feel free to make your own posts, if anything I missed strikes you as interesting! For this post, we'll be looking at Part One and talking about life as the mastery of space.
In the prologue of "Bronze Age Mindset," BAP talks about what life isn't- or what life's become, or what those who are in control of such thing want life to be- mindless consumption, where men are reduced to working for tokens, and encouraged to trade-in those tokens for plastic garbage at a loss. Think of the sudden popularity of the term side hustle- a terrible nomenclature that points to the inability to support one's self properly on a single income! And they want you to think that's cool and hip! Terrible deception!
Life is not mindless consumption, the bug-man life of video games, eating, and porn.
Here, on the red pill, we often find that new members are mostly concerned with getting girls. This makes sense! I'm not disparaging that! Chances are that you've either found the red pill due to a relationship where you did the right thing and it blew up in your face, or that you've been unsuccessful with attracting women and didn't understand why. Both are very valid reasons! Our biology as men is yanking us in the direction of making SEX, WOMEN, and RELATIONSHIPS as our highest priority!
All too often, I'll find men dismissing talk of theory on The Red Pill in favor of actionable advice to use with real women. I understand this sentiment, and there's certainly a practicality to that, however, this mindset will ultimately lead to failure.. as we're still focusing our definition of life on consumption- only now it's the consumption of women.
BAP clarifies this point, as he explains that animals are reluctant to breed in captivity:
"Only after full development of its powers and its mastery over space specific to its needs does the need or desire for reproduction come. Reproduction is side effect of animal desire for discharge of strength, after mastery over space is achieved."
Yes, you could read a little bit of red pill theory, memorize some game techniques, and have success with women; you could fake it until you make it, in fact, WE ENCOURAGE THAT. You need practice- just talk to girls, bro.
...but, if your journey ends there, you're going to be in trouble in the long-run. Getting the girl is not the goal of The Red Pill. If this is news to you, that's okay- we're all learning, but I want you to say that out-loud, right now: GETTING THE GIRL IS NOT THE GOAL OF THE RED PILL.
The esoteric goal of the red pill is the mastery of space- masculinity, as we will discuss throughout the summer, is the mastery of space. In "The Way of Men," Jack Donovan referred to this as securing the perimeters; border security; a mastery over space. The same reason young men are (or, were) attracted to the Donald Trump campaign- a mastery of space.
We can look at lifting, and developing the physical body, as the mastery of personal space.
This mastery of space can be understood as literal, and physical, but also mental- freedom of thought.
As a starting place, we encourage men to make their own observations. Popular knowledge as disseminated by the media and academia, is created with a premise of universal biological equality (the "blank slate theory")- we encourage you to make observations about human nature and human behavior starting with no such premises at all! Allow your observations to be honest and natural, and you will begin to achieve mental freedom- or the mastery of space!

Inspired by your posts, I've read the Bronze Age Mindset. Whoa! What a book! With the ironical irony and historical "facts", it's one of the most inspiring and thought provoking books I've read from some time. The free man manifesto with a pinch of mental ilness. I absolutely love it.

I found the critique of biology in the beggining of the book to be one of it's most interesting parts. The idea of a successful organism as one which can simply replicate itself and endure in an stressful envoirement does seem a bit underwhelming, and fits right into the image evoked by the term "bugmen" - a communal society not only lacking differentiation and individualization, but outright suppressing it under the hand of the matriarch.
However, I think we can draw a difference between individualism and individuality, the former being a cultural consequence of economy, and the latter a characteristic of a self centered (not necessarily in the bad sense) person. Someone with a strong sense of individuality will use their own position in the world as a mental starting point for more elaborate thoughts and the drawing connections that will allow for a better understanding of the universe around them, rather than simply accepting the current cultural narrative, which is one of the many sins of the bugmen.
I don't think that the mastery of space that BAP talks about is simply the expanding of one's control over the immediate physical envoirement and it's resources. Rather, it is, at its heart, the exploration of one's own possibilities in the world, a reflection of the underlying need to understand the universe, rather than tyrannical navel gazing. The doomer meme lamentation, "born too late to explore the seas, born too early to explore the stars" is, I think, a perfect example of this need to dare and experiment. Men used to prove themselves in war and sex; since the exercise of violence has been taken over by the State, for most, the only remaining arena where they can explore and develop their power is sex - hence the need for sexual strategy and TRP.

Here's an observation: I had a smokeshow 20 years my junior on my arm for almost 5 years.
The Wall is real, but it's not as simple as somewhat declining looks. It's in the attitude as well.
FinancierGuru 6y ago
Correct.
Women's looks don't only decline. There are some rare ones -eg. J Lopez who still looks good at a very advanced age (50) because of consistent body training.
However, all of them older women are BITTER. If they see you with younger women they do hate you.

Great post.
I think the redpill should have more healthy-mindset related content beyond girls.
When I first found the sub in 2015 I was indoctrinated and was trying to be “alpha” to my detriment, would refuse to have conversations with girls over text for fear of seeming beta and things like that.
It wasn’t after unplugging for a few years and realizing that a lot of the posts about girls on here are low vibrations and come from a scarcity mindset and you can catch it secondhand.
Build yourself and the girls will come. If the girls are your motivation at first, if you need a carrot in front of your face to spark personal transformation, so be it, whatever gets you in the momentum.
But the sub would benefit greatly from literature on phase two, really detaching from the need to get girls.
Once you level up you really can abuse it to a fault.
I thought I was alpha because I was pulling 3+ girls a week but really I was just wasting all of my free time on girls, and it was a dopamine addiction in a sense. If I would get used to the good feelings of abundance, but then if i had an hour period where no girls were snapping me or texting me I would start seeking it out.
That might have more with my personal upbringing/psyche,
But we really need to emphasize that it’s okay to leave pussy on the table.
Saying it and believe it are two different things.
This even paradoxically becomes a feedback loop because when you’re not trying to pull and you’re not into girls they chase you and it’s cyclical. Life on easy mode.

Something similar happened to me with this sub.
There's great content here but it is usually far too concentrated on women, which is fine as you know, we all start this trip through bad experiences with women, I suppose.
But after a while you realize that by thinking all these things you're still giving them so much importance in your life. The trick is to learn to be better for yourself and enjoy your life, and women are a part of that, as big a part as you decide, but not the fuel of your actions. At least that's how I see it.

I always imagine a bunch of college bros typing up all these threads on women. I can never be bothered since I found this place out; you can read maybe 2-3 hours and get all the info you need. The internalization is the hard part for most. It is probably the most confusing thing about TRP.
"Women are not my goal"
To even say that implies you think about women enough to make that post. We know that sex is around 40% of modern men's thoughts, so there will be lots of deliberation in most minds. To me, my goal was to lower this number down; I think that porn artificially makes this a higher number than in the past. Men replace those thoughts with masculine pursuits. It ties into the whole "Chimps don't masturbate in a cage. "

Another reason why I tell guys to read. You get interested in knowledge and find things you enjoy.
Suddenly you're pulled to want to learn more. Your focus is off girls and scripts.
You're actually starting to enjoy learning and there is a drive to read and learn more.
It creates a ripple effect and you start pursuing other things.
I also love the 'mastery of space' idea. That has a metaphysical aspect to me. Mastery of our relationship to space on a Divine sense. A lot of people are just downright confused, lost and can't make sense of the world.
For me, an understanding of things like absolute and objective idealism gives a whole new perspective on the environment.
It also makes me think of traditional Buddhism. The idea that we relate to our 'space' or environment with attachment, desire, longing. We see ourselves as separate from our space, as the falsely perceived seperate 'I'.
A big part of traditional meditative initiatic practice was letting go of the false seperation until we see the Divinity in everything.
So there is physical and Divine mastery of space.
It's true most guys on Red Pill are consumers. Rollo is only teaching guys to be better consumers through hedonistic means.

We are all just monkeys who can build rockets. When I sit back and appeciate that for a few minutes, a lot of stress rolls off my back.
The universe is fucking rad and if you have something to say about that and dont let peoples ridiculous games bog you down, you're standing way above the crowd already.

Another brilliant post thank you.

Great post.
Very interesting concept on the mastery of space, including thought and mental space.
That resonates hugely with me.

Initially, I was ONLY interested in TRP because it was providing me an unprecedented amount of knowledge in getting pussy.
I've always been obsessed with girls, even at a young age, I recall mentors and close advisors warning me that my lust for females will become an obstacle in my life.
With each initial accomplishment, it became a snowball effect where I was even more motivated to learn game and read TRP. After some time of continuously abusing the hell out of my addiction for ego boosts, validation: my cockiness and pride started to grow. But so did my mission and my purpose.
In the past year, I couldn't help but feel empty, unsatisfied, and unmotivated even though I've checked off so many of my wishes related to chicks.
"GIRLS ARE NOT THE END GOAL OF TRP"
I've read this a thousand times, but it took me years and a lot of work to internalize it. I will continue to strive for a greater purpose and mission in my life.
Thanks for the concise and well written post.

Did you really have substance issues in the past?

No?
PissTrooper69 6y ago
Ok this is going to sound stupid but I read the KTP stuff and wasn’t sure if that was real

So this is like mastery of the physical in another sense. As much matter under control within a practical frame of reference. For instance real estate or farming or whatever lights the fire of what a man can call his mission. Interesting play of words to describe physicality and mission in one post with a new phrasing. Might give the BAM a read through a month or so from now.
