As a beta-type guy, I actually really enjoy going to parties/bars where the alpha supply is running high. I don't have to worry about playing the stupid mating game because I know I won't be able to compete. Instead I just get stupid drunk and have a good time being my goofy self. I think it's important for a guy to know his own limitations and act accordingly. You have to assess that supply/demand curve in any given situation and decide whether or not its worth it to invest yourself.

As a guy who has been in Los Angeles for a little over a year this is so true. Much harder here than other parts of the country. I'd move, but then I think about how cold and expensive New York is.

I read a story online about a guy who visited NYC and lived in his van JUST to get laid. He succeeded beyond his wildish expectations. You might try couch-surfing.

This is very true. I once went on a teen tour trip to test that theory. There were 3 to 1 girls to guys ratio. I got the girl of my choice. She was also from NYC. All the NYC girls were way cooler than what I had experienced in my home-town.
