What’s everyone’s opinion on there on going case, who’s side are you on and why?
Advanced_Male 3y ago
The abuse went both ways. They were both abusing each other. It is still weird that they’d make such a controversial person their spokesperson
horsdepair 3y ago
If that was the case lets make harvey weinstein in #menmakecinema
pvtshoebox 3y ago
Now whenever I think of L'oreal I think of a bratty woman shitting on a bed.
Trashy brand for "divas" unaware that they have been irrelevant for a decade.
Burke2 3y ago
L'Oreal doesn't care about her abusive behavior, because the media doesn't propagate it. If the media took domestic abuse towards men seriously, she would be ostracized from society.
GreenishYellowPurple 3y ago
There was some twitter slapfighting last week or so where L'Oreal defended her, calling anyone who didn't like her or presented the evidence proving her abuse a misogynist
Deathstrike3000 3y ago
Yep. If there had been more outrage, l'oreal would have turned her away.
PicklesAreMyFriends 3y ago
This won't affect their sales in a negative way so they don't give a shit, it's all about profit
Evilcon21 3y ago
We should fight for that right. I mean her behaviour is just disgusting and i do feel sorry for the next unfortunate soul to be sleeping with that repulsive thing
ArcticAsylum12 3y ago
There does seem to be quite a bit of backlash in the comments, with some of the comments calling them out reaching over 3000 likes
SharedRegime 3y ago
How about her female partner she beat to? Will they care about that?
adelie42 3y ago
Imho, it is a profoundly anti-woman / anti-empowwrment message.
Women being abusive towards male partners is treated the same way an aggressive dog is treated; the guy's choice. If a guy has an aggressive dog and gets bit, nobody makes the dog responsible (not to be confused with facing consequences).
A potentially empowering message for men, but it puts the women in the place of a disposable accessory to the man's lifestyle.
Denying agency is a double edged sword.
WeedleTheLiar 3y ago
I agree with the sentiment, but holding the media (or hollywood, or politicians) up as a moral exemplar is probably going to blow up in your face.
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
EXACTLY. If you’re really for equality, then treat her the way you treated Johnny BEFORE proof even came out. Otherwise, you’re no feminist.
ClubZlut 3y ago
Feminists are treating her no different than any of us expect. Turning a blind eye to it and continuing to call Johnny the problem and Amber the victim.
Gaugeskye2019 3y ago
That’s third wave I believe. They’ve really fucked both genders up. Terrible thing.
[deleted] 3y ago
I tried to find an article on this and it's nothing but sites I've never heard of like this one. MSM is staying silent on this one, but had it been a man....like what happened to Depp....
Burke2 3y ago
Even when the media does report on cases like this it's very soft played in comparison to how they treat male perpetrators.
FictionalTrope 3y ago
Chris Brown beat Rhianna, and only got probation and community service, and still makes hit albums and is at all the award shows. Amber Heard is arguably worse because she lied and tried to play the victim, knowing people wouldn't take Depp seriously because of sexist bullshit. I think most people just need to reevaluate who the major entertainers are in our society, because we let them get away with anything.
Burke2 3y ago
Yeah I agree with you there. I have a very strong opinion on Chris Brown, and the positive image he has in the media lately. It truly is gross what people are willing to turn a blind eye to for some entertainers. The rampant sexual abuse of minors by rock bands in the 70's-90's also comes to mind.
Klexosinfreefall 3y ago
Well that and they probably get her for cheap
Crom_Committee 3y ago
This is the best take. She's probably desperate for work. I bet they got her for nearly nothing. They'll run some ads, drum up some controversy for extra free press, and if it so much as starts to look bad, they'll sacrifice her publicly.
This is really a no-lose move for L'Oreal.
bufedad 3y ago
They made her a spokesman for women after she accused Depp of Abuse.
readonlyuser 3y ago
...for cheap!
Lendari 3y ago
Loreal doesn't care because their market demographic is exclusively female and the majority of them don't care.
at2wells 3y ago
In my experience it’s a bit worse than that. Not only do they not care, but they also think she is a victim. They can’t believe what this nasty man has done to her career.
To them he should have manned up and took his medicine. How dare he do this!
coronacounselingclub 3y ago
This is so sad but true...we are trying to change this though but it's no easy task. Abused guys need to find voices and we need enough of them to speak out. This whole 'manning up' thing is out of the dark ages. Abuse is abuse - abuse sees no gender. If you're a guy struggling in an abusive relationship, past or present. Help is available. Reach out to me via pm or through abusedmenhelp.com or coronacounselingclub.com I am an ex abused guy - together we can make an impact, for men's rights to be heard and treated the same. These are not men's or women's rights but human rights.
SD_TMI 3y ago
I wouldn't be surprised if their own market research showed that their market demographics have a deep and underlying desire to dominate over "men" and that they're inherently evil & base creatures.
She's a good representation of that.
what they want is "good looks", She's bisexual and "empowered".. all key factors.
Gaugeskye2019 3y ago
She’s “bisexual” but I’ve never seen her with another woman..... these celebrities throw this bs around for the new thing. And people eat it up. “Oh she’s bi she’s like me.” No dumbass, she lied to you and you fell for it. She cares about no one but herself. Narcissistic.

I'm convinced that she is actually just lesbian, when she came onto the scene she was known as a lesbian then her PR team decided to introduce her as "bi-seck-sioux-aul" as Jeremy Clarkson put it on Top Gear.
Here's an article from 2010 when she came out as a "Lesbian"
Notice the photo caption "Amber Heard will play Johnny Depp's leading lady in the upcoming film 'The Rum Diary.'(Walker/Getty)"
Heh, her next target was johnny, they "fell in love" while shooting the rum diary.
It was all very entertaining.

Punished, yes. Sit in our prison system to leach off tax dollars till the day you die. With bullshit chances if you do get “set free”. Isn’t how it should be. That article makes a great point that is missed. We imprison too many ppl. Don’t misconstrue that article. (Just a discussion, not trying to say you were or imply to rile you.)
[deleted] 3y ago
[deleted]
chaun2 3y ago
Just a small side point. The mass incarceration problem we have is directly caused by the 13th ammendment. We never outlawed slavery, we just changed it from chattle slavery to "if you are poor enough, you can be made a slave because a soave hunter trumped up some charges"
Gaugeskye2019 3y ago
Yea the wording it’s terrible. The point still remains that just throwing women on cause men been doing it forever is a terrible premise to base an argument man. Don’t throw men in prison at such a high rate absolutely but also let’s not just arbitrarily throw women in. Besides men being imprisoned is men capturing men. So women aren’t involved and aren’t even a talking point. What we should be discussing a how men handle other men and why we throw each other in prison on the regular.
[deleted] 3y ago
[deleted]
Gaugeskye2019 3y ago
Sure. You’re correct. Semantically. But essentially men have written and put into place most every law and punishment. It’s only been in the last 10-15 years have we seen a jump in women in office. So hence my statement that men imprison men. Yes it’s governments imprisoning. Historically, all ran by men. Not an outlandish sentiment to grasp, I do believe. But ehh to each their own.
Edit: what I’m trying to say is that men have battles to fight in our uphill fight against ourselves. We should acknowledge this when we discuss these issues. Paint with a bigger brush you cover more canvas. If we discuss all the things it fixes more issues other than women get child custody at a higher rate..... yadi yadi yada lol

Just implying that she has any inner beauty at all is disgusting.
ComeBackToDigg 3y ago
L’Oreal should make a brand of makeup called “Round 2” for Amber’s next man to use when she beats him again.

They're holding her to different standards...?
alberc 3y ago
Don't you think it's actually mostly damaging to women to hold men to a higher standard?
Women might enjoy getting free passes in the moment, but in accepting undeserved handouts they are reinforcing the stereotype that they are weaker, opportunistic and not to be taken seriously.
RIPDODGERSBANDWAGON 3y ago
It’s doubly sexist because it assumes that women can’t handle higher expectations and it’s plain unfair to men.
Rolaid-Tommassi 3y ago
Absolutely. Well said mate.
TehReedster89 3y ago
Yep. Some friends of mine and I were talking about the stupid Ms Monopoly thing that came out a while back, where female players get more money from every source than male players do. The obvious intent is to be like, "Ha, now the wage gap is reversed, how does it feel?" Which is stupid for many reasons, not the least of which is that the wage gap is a myth.
But one of my friends sent me a video of Jimmy Kimmel talking about that game. And among other things, he argued that it's not empowering to women at all. The comparison he made is how you deliberately hold back when playing against a child so they can feel like they did well. It should be seen as very insulting to women that they need to be given a permanent handicap just to stand a chance of winning.
That's not exactly a unique comparison, but I still like it when it shows up. Men should be frustrated by all the bullshit going on these days, but so should women. Men are being disadvantaged, and women are being treated like children who need special help just to compete. No one should enjoy that.
stringtheoryman 3y ago
depends on what day of the week you ask me but sometimes I feel like actually all women are opportunistic and not to be taken seriously. I say that from many relationships/experiences though.

Gaugeskye2019 3y ago
Bruh, don’t be so hostile to the entire group of ladies. Men’s page or not man, they got their own issues as well. So fuck amber heard but damn.
TehReedster89 3y ago
And this is why I roll my eyes when people accuse this subreddit of being misogynistic. We discuss men's issues, and we also discuss the problems with feminism. But being anti-feminism is not the same as being anti-woman. Not by a long shot. And when someone actually does say something anti-woman, they get downvoted, and people call them out for it. It's pretty clear to me that anyone who calls this subreddit misogynistic doesn't spend any real time here. They either automatically assume that a men's rights board must be anti-woman in nature, or they come here one time, scroll until they find a single anti-woman comment (regardless of how many downvotes it has), and say "aha, I knew it!"
Gaugeskye2019 3y ago
I mean we essentially have the old school feminist(wave 1, that ladies who stepped up and dominated for America while we were fighting ww2) mindset, its we aren’t anti men(women in our case) we just wanna be seen as equal on every and all playing fields. Anyone who thinks a men’s issues page is anti women just doesn’t understand the dynamic between men and women and how we truly should interact. Women are beautiful amazing creatures. Being anti women is so far away from the agenda of this page. That why I love it so much and I love calling out and downvoting these tools of anti women establishment. Stupidity at its finest.
[deleted] 3y ago
We are not here to talk about women’s issues nor am I here to sympathize for or understand women’s unique difficulties, I’d suggest you grow up son, and realize that words do not hurt as much as real objects do. I know about the amber and depp and I choose to be as condescending and hostile as needed because I have the right to say whatever I want just as these women have the right to say whatever they want be it as stupid as it may, so just as these women choose to turn a blind eye I choose to willingly pick the feminist devil’s anus with my libertarian platinum rod.Dont tell me whom I should and shouldn’t respect. "@AmberHeard highlights that a woman's inner beauty is what we should value the most"
It sounds wrong, but when you think about it, they are correct. Inner beauty that Amber strongly lacks is more important than external beauty that Amber has. Of course the L'Oreal idiots did not mean it this way
StingRayFins 3y ago
Welp, no more L'Oreal for me.

YU5AKU 3y ago
I imagine this kinda stuff takes time so perhaps it was in the works before the whole thing happened. That being said, it's far easier to just cancel something so they don't really have an excuse there other than "look we already spent the money, she still has enough supporters, the wokesters are gonna eat it up anyway and, frankly, we don't give a shit."
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
It does make sense from that perspective, but all of this came out months ago, so that’s even less of an excuse. When Heard lied about being abused by Depp, the media sucked it up and he was cancelled immediately. But I definitely agree with you. This is inexcusable. It’s better to lose money than to support perpetrators of abuse.

"I would love to see women held to different standards, other than the superficial ones."
IDK that seems pretty appropriate in my opinion. Judge people for the content of their character, not the way they look. That's a good thing, no?
I mean, of course L'Oreal is proving that they're literally doing the opposite here but that's a different discussion.

O THE FKIN IRONY I am livid. Surface level statement because all of her beauty is surface level so that’s the only level she concerns herself with.
RyanG7 3y ago
So that's why you're partnering up with a company involved in outer beauty
You mean you want women to be held to different standard that women have put in place?
SageBus 3y ago
"I would love to see women held to different standards, other than the superficial ones we are held to".
Ok what about the standard : Don't abuse your spouse? Yeah, let's hold women to that standard, I agree with her wholeheartedly in this regard. This is proof that women and men are judged differently for the same offense (abusing your romantic partner). This comes from a mindset that men="strong, violent, unemotional" and women="weak, frail, sensitive". They are perpetuating the values they claim to fight against.
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
Not just that - going off of strictly physical appearances, Depp LOOKS like a grungy badass and she looks delicate. Media completely ate it up when she accused him of domestic violence. She KNEW they would react this way because of superficial appearances alone and took advantage of that and now she dares to spew this shit
empatheticapathetic 3y ago

They ban you for commenting on the wrong post, regardless of what you said.

empatheticapathetic 3y ago

Phiau 3y ago
Feminists want true equality. Two X just straight hate men. There is no reasoning with them.
empatheticapathetic 3y ago
I see you have a different definition of ‘feminism’ that pops up when convenient.
Please look into the ‘no true Scotsman’ fallacy that will explain why your subjective definition is irrelevant in the face of the society destroying sexists actions taken by feminists.
WeedleTheLiar 3y ago
So, even though someone like Clementine Fors claims to be a feminist, and others claiming to be feminists say she is too, her saying things like "Not enough men died" automatically disqualifies her?
That's basically saying "feminists can do no wrong and if they do they aren't feminists".
Phiau 3y ago
Well in that case they are just shit Feminists.
darkbluexanadu 3y ago
Problem here is i can guarantee the L'Oreal is being pressured by womens groups and probably threatened with boycotts if they drop her. Dropping her would validate JD's claims and the SJW crowd cant have that. It would force the conversation of womens bad behavior.
lilwinter 3y ago
who ever claimed men can't get abused in a relationship? did any woman group ever claim that? if yes I haven't seen it, would be nice of you to share them with me so I can stop supporting that specific group.
darkbluexanadu 3y ago
What u/bufedad said. Additionally, I didnt say anything about men not being victims. I said ot would force the conversation of it. As more balanced info comes out about dv situations, the more feminists pivot. It was "it doesnt happen" until the data disproved it. Then it became "its different because men do more damage" and "well what did he do to deserve it".
ClubZlut 3y ago
Have you seen feminists around here? Men are more or less a genetic mistake according to feminism today.
bufedad 3y ago
Feminist academics created the Duluth model (you know the one that claimed if women were using violence it was ONLY because they were defending themselves)
Not only did they create a model of dealing with domestic violence that claimed female abusers didn't exist, they pushed it on police departments as training for dealing with these situations.
They literally created a program that required male victims be arrested if they reported their abuser... then use the arrest statistics as proof there are no female abusers.
lilwinter 3y ago
okay, agree thats a problematic one. I doubt L'Oréal would be canceled by a lot of people if they dropped amber heard after what we know today though. there definitely are crazy people everywhere, but they're not representing the majority.
Oxabolt 3y ago
They may not be the majority, but a vocal minorty always beats the silent majority
SushiKebab 3y ago

otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
They have 3 posts! I commented on all three two days ago, and it seemed like she was still getting a lot of support on the most recent one
Ferocius-Squirel 3y ago
How can people support her after what she’s done??? I guess they must not know. I hope that’s the case at least
OofieElfie 3y ago
Read the comments. Luckily, almost all of them are absolutely tearing Loreal apart. The few top comments are supporting Heard, but even they don't have many likes and all of the replies are shitting on them, too. The replies shitting on top comments have more likes than the actual top comments. Apparently Loreal is deleting a lot of them.
DARKDRAGON532 3y ago
Wasn’t she removed from aqua man 2? I dont know why I’m bringing this up
bufedad 3y ago
There's rumors, but no confirmation yet.
C2074579 3y ago
Female Enablement
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
Didn’t think about that. Shit. I HATE “feminists” like her who give a bad name to those who fight for ACTUAL equality. She knows she can take advantage of the inequality and she did. Disgusting.
Logic801 3y ago
Everyone who has insta needs to go to this page and their 2 post about her and let them know how you feel. I did. I know in the grand scheme of things it’s not much, but, someone with in that company is responsible for managing their content. Some one has to read/reply to the comments. If we can make their job hard enough, they might just find it easier/more beneficial to remove the post. I’m guessing most of their clientele have no idea that she’s a monster. Let’s change that.
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
There are three posts. I commented on all three last night. Top comments are still in support (as of last night). There’s also a Change.org petition going around if you’d like to sign (I did). Every little bit helps to spread the message because a LOT of people are still unaware since the media decided to not cover woman on man abuse.
Logic801 3y ago
Ahh guess I missed one. Brb.
FlatTire2005 3y ago
Fucking lawl. Yep, they’re definitely holding her and other women to different standards, all right. Those standards being “Women can do whatever they want and hurt anyone they want without any consequences whatsoever. Now bow, male.”
Marcobroa 3y ago
The amount of amazing women to pick from, they choose her!? Jesus
Causal_Calamity 3y ago
This might sound like a little too much but i actually went on IG and reported the page for posting inappropriate content.
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
No! Every bit counts. This shit NEEDS to be covered because the media went into a frenzy over her allegations. Now it’s her turn and they don’t do anything.
mikefrombarto 3y ago
Loreal is getting ripped apart in the comments of the pic (and the video that followed) that were posted on their IG.
The best was when someone posted a sarcastic comment that went right over Loreal’s heads, and they replied with a smiley emoji. They’re that ignorant to the issue.
sk0709 3y ago
They really don't seem to see that it's an issue. L'Oréal are replying to all positive comments with "She's the best!" and "We love her too!". As someone in the comments said, she must have their directors on tape. I'm glad to see so many people recognising the ignorance of Amber Heard and L'Oréal. I just hope it's enough.
[deleted] 3y ago

otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
Honestly! It’s SO important to spread the word because the media refuses to.
FivePips 3y ago
Absolutely fucking disgusting.
ShadowsBG 3y ago
They don't delete the hate comments either, they just burry them scroll down and all the most liked comments are talking about her being an abuser. I'm glad this will follow her for the rest of her life.
ragingsilently 3y ago
Instagram comments are beyond gold on this post. Mostly people calling L’Oréal our and shill accounts that most have some variations of her names brown nosing.
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
I commented on al three posts but GOD it was disheartening to see those comments.
shrek1234567810 3y ago
Look at the bright side. There were countless comments from women calling them out. It really tells you that gender equality isn't about men vs women. It's about everyone against the extremist feminism that runs rampant in Hollywood. I notice because celebrities and companies stay connected to the world through the internet, they only see the side of people that's on Twitter, and not what most people actually want from the world.
MetaCognitio 3y ago
I think most men and women are good people. Flawed but mostly good.
NekoiNemo 3y ago
"Woman's inner beauty is what we should value the most", about a confirmed domestic abuser. Welp.
jamesdanton 3y ago
That's easy, just boycott all their brands. There will never be any of their products in my house ever again.
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
Yes!! Just be careful because they own quite a lot of the big name skincare brands as well
jamesdanton 3y ago
I already checked them out. All I have to do is drop one Garnier product and they can go on the black list along with Nike, BMW, Audi, P&G, Apple, etc...
-dank-matter- 3y ago
Let's take bets on how long it will take for them to backtrack.
I'm guessing 6 days.
miss_chaos 3y ago
Horrible.
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
Wait til you hear the recordings of her calling him a BABY for calling her out on the abuse.
miss_chaos 3y ago
Whaaat!! That's terrible!!! I think I might send an email to the company and never use their products.

sayn it with me everybody. NO CELEBRITY SHOULD BE GLOROFIED FOR THEIR MISTAKES NEITHER MALE OR FEMALE.
iMnotHiigh 3y ago
Are you serious?
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
Unfortunately.
Xvillan 3y ago
I'm going to have to disagree with the majority here on this one. Too many times men have been falsely accused of rape/abuse and their livelihoods completely destroyed over it as their friends, family and business all cut them off and they are outcast from society only to have the claims proven false, though, that never fixes what was lost. Men should never have their lives destroyed until all claims are proven in court and as such Amber Heard should not have her life destroyed until it is all proven, no matter how obvious it is or her admitting to it.
bufedad 3y ago
Like the person she falsely accused (Johnny Depp).
Like the person she was recorded calling a pussy because he wouldn't hit her back?
Like the person she was recorded telling that he could tell the world he was abused, and no one would believe him because he was a man.
Like the person she was recorded telling that she hit him and couldn't promise she wouldn't hit again, because she gets violent when she gets angry.
Like the person who she put a cigarette out on his face (there are pictures of him with the wound, and no one realized what it was at the time).
Like the person who's finger she severed, and had to have it surgically reattached?
Sorry, Depp has submitted a mountain of evidence and only a tiny portion has been released so far, and it's unimaginably damning.
ernis45 3y ago
What? Yes, it does matter how obvious it is and how she proved it herself, wtf.
degenerate661 3y ago
...its been proven. It clearly isnt false.
WeedleTheLiar 3y ago
The courts aren't infalible either.
This is more a matter of making sure you know what 'prove' means before making a judgement.
truth-informant 3y ago
L'Oreal should team up with Gillette.
ponegum 3y ago
I went and looked at the comments and a lot of people - men and especially women- are calling them out and calling out the stans in the replies. It is quite refreshing to see that even though L'Oréal are total POS in this story and I can actually imagine the backlash if the situation was inversed.
jonak273 3y ago
I do love Instagram because almost every comment is about how disgusting she is, like she even blocked comments on her main page because everyone is shitting on her.
EvilBeano 3y ago
I'm at least happy to see most people in the comments have some common sense
Tmomp 3y ago
L'Oreal supports domestic abusers, or at least one.

You could say that again.. they are willfully ignorant because some girl commented on one of the posts basically saying “this has got to be a joke” and whoever runs the page replied with “
aleqxander 3y ago
The worst part is that all the comments are praising her
OofieElfie 3y ago
Only very few comments are praising her tho. Loreal found the few and brought them to the top. However, all of the replies to the top comments are shitting on Loreal and the commenters praising Loreal. Those replies have more likes than the top comments.
VaultGuy1995 3y ago
The comments on that post give me hope. Lots of women are choosing to boycott L'Oreal over this decision. I just hope the message spreads further.
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
Hopefully! The cynical part of me says it’ll be near impossible but at the same time, L’Oréal’s reach isn’t THAT far, ya know?
VaultGuy1995 3y ago
Maybe not culturally, but a vast majority of women use their products, so they need to be hit where it hurts; their bank account.
Teddylina 3y ago
Is it time to cancel L'Oréal finally?
jaheiner 3y ago
I'd like to say that wife beating celebrities would never get away with this shit but just look at Chris Brown. Just takes the right person to get away with this bullshit it seems...
v650 3y ago
You can't tell me they can not find one other woman in the world to represent them that doesn't have her record. So there for they could give a shit less. It's not like she's that amazing anyway.
Now I wish Johnny had smacked the fuck out of her.
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
It’s all fine n dandy cuz she’s pretty /s. I don’t wish domestic abuse on anyone I just wish he had gotten out earlier. It’s a tough situation for him but I’m doing my part to spread the word because this sets an example to domestic abuse victims, particularly men, and says that their experience is a joke.
Magnusson_9000 3y ago

Yithar 3y ago
Honestly Nestle owns a lot of stuff lol. I remember a YouTube video talking about Nestle and shady water deals related to bottled water.
WeedleTheLiar 3y ago
Dammit, I'm already boycotting Nestle!
sourbelle 3y ago
Having been subjected to seeing this photo multiple times now, I know this is frivolous, but to me her makeup doesn't look all that great. Frankly, it looks like she's trying to replicate the 'bruise' she sported before going to court. I'm suspicious enough to wonder if that isn't on purpose.
And that quote seems like it was written by a Russian bot that took English as a fourth language.
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
HA I love everything about this comment. Can’t expect the quote to be too deep when the speaker is shallower than a puddle.
wicoali 3y ago
Report it.
qemist 3y ago
Why do companies that specialize in helping women conceal their true appearance always praise women's "inner beauty" and decry "superficial standards"? Cosmetics have nothing to do with the quality of a woman's innards and are entirely superficial.
gprime 3y ago
This same company, it's worth remembering, was extremely quick to cut ties with another model when animal rights activists whipped up online outrage upon discovering that she liked to hunt. So their stance appears to be that animals matter more than men.
lilith_fae 3y ago
This is bullshit. Fuck her. And now I need to find a new shampoo brand to boot. Not supporting this crap.
SharedRegime 3y ago
isnt she also the domestic abuse spokesperson for the UN?
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
I think you’re right! Human Rights Champion. What a fat joke.
SharedRegime 3y ago
The best part is that she is a domestic abuse spokesperson for the UN after she was caught being a domestic abuser twice both to her first husband and then her girlfriend afterwards and of course the only one she spend any jail time with was for beating her girlfriend.
But yeah i just find it funny that even after she was caught twice they still made her the domestic abuse spokesperson like get fucked.
Pineapple_Peridot 3y ago
With all the power she has, with all the media covering up for her, getting more and more jobs after all that has been exposed about her... AND SHE STILL DEMANDS TO HAVE POWER??? Bitch, no one is more powerful than whamens these days!
taoofmojo 3y ago
She got to make that money some how, she being sued for 50 million. God I hope Johny Depp wins.
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
He had better. Depp is an A lister. 50 million is not enough to cover his loss of work imo.
TheCelloIsAlive 3y ago
I wish I wore their makeup so I could stop buying it. Alas, I don't wear makeup. Anyone here wanna surrogate-boycott for me?
little_evil6 3y ago
Yea this'll change this world. You bunch of pussies.
Dabaer77 3y ago
So when was this posted?
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
schmoogina 3y ago
Keep in mind L'Oreal owns plenty of subsidiaries like Redken, Diesel, Garnier, Giorgio Armani, Lancôme and Maybelline, among others. Boycott the hell out of them. Even if it doesn't make their pocketbook hurt, why give a single cent to a company who's going to put an abusive person in their spotlight
swansong19 3y ago
Inner beauty is so important that she needs to cover her face with enough paint to do a three bedroom bungalow.
fedarmy 3y ago
I don’t know about you but I feel empowered. Or is it nihilism.
MetaCognitio 3y ago
Roxanne Pallet who accused a man of beating her but got caught recently was interviewed and was described as "inspiring" for having gone to therapy and being back on TV.
Undisputedninja 3y ago
This is the kind of crap that makes me angry about trying to vouch for women’s rights. Not at all trying to downplay domestic issues where the females are victims, but it doesn’t disregard the fact that victims are victims regardless of gender. The feminists that say and think it’s never the female’s fault don’t want equality, they want special treatment.
As a female who regularly buys cosmetics, this is appalling and I won’t buy from L’oreal anymore.
hoowin 3y ago
Inner beauty, made career off outer beauty lol
0_0Sup 3y ago
More like Amber Turd.
LifeAboutNothing 3y ago
She needs to start eating make up because she has an ugly soul.
Ebinebinebinebin 3y ago
Then don't fucking lie to ruin the lives of others?
ayram3824 3y ago
first of all she’s a cookie cutter plain white chick. average as fuck in the grand scheme of things
second of all her acting is ass
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
Have you seen her interview about being abused? Absolutely horrific. I can try to find it but GOD the acting in it was horrific at best. It came out years ago and I remember just KNOWING something was wrong because of the crocodile tears.
Trusty_Pigeon 3y ago
I guess it makes sense... Make-up company sponsoring a domestic abuser. I'm betting she used their products in faking injuries
gecko_-_- 3y ago
Ya know fuck Amber Heard and everything she stands for. I am so tired of seeing shit like this. My mom did the exact sane thing when my parents divorced. She started preaching that my dad was an abusive drunk and it is bullshit. Jonny Depp was the victim but Heard made it out like she was the victim. That type of defamation can ruin a person's life. You hear shit about a patriarchy but that couldn't be more wrong. Now its that anything a women says has to be taken serious and the guy's story doesn't even matter. I'm glad that Depp had tje recordings but seriously this type of shit has to stop.
GltyUntlPrvnInncnt 3y ago
Outside beauty from a makeup box. Inner beauty non existent. Without make up she's just a regular woman. Except most regular women are not filthy abusers that claim to be victims when caught.
dracoofsodom 3y ago
More. Female. Abusers.
Liberal Feminism and it's consequences are dangerous.
QueenSlapFight 3y ago
The people who don't care that Amber abused Johnny aren't going to be encouraged to buy more L'Oreal by her endorsement. But those who do are going to be repulsed by this. Despite advertisers thinking all women support all other women no matter what, I know some women who for a fact think it was disgusting how Johnny was treated. I could see them boycotting L'Oreal like I boycott Gillette. Get woke go broke.
Autistocrat 3y ago
Selling beauty products for one of the biggest companies in the business while looking like a photomodel.
"I would like women held to non-superficial standards"
YooGeOh 3y ago
Well she's achieved her goal in being "held to different standards" as a woman
Pacman124 3y ago
At least, people in the comments are going nuts, there's still some decency left. Now, let's hope that, according to the comments, this shit brand will be boycotted
edit: typo
Evilcon21 3y ago
I can picture the boycot happening. Really what caused them to pick her out of other self respecting women that has inner beauty.
Smellslikegearoil 3y ago
Female here. Nothing beautiful about that woman at all. For any human to treat their partner the way she treated Depp is a tragedy. It seems this quote about standards just lets her get away with it more. This company should have at the very least kept to the standard of not hiring and promoting abusers. What a joke. No wonder so many men choose not to speak up about domestic abuse. It's heartbreaking that if she were a man, she would be "cancelled " but because she isn't, she just gets to go on with her life. L'oreal lost a customer for sure.
rubberchickenlips 3y ago
Maybe L'Oréal is going after a new demographic: psychopathic abusive women.
They will change the company name to L'Ordéal
dracoofsodom 3y ago
Also Amber Heard's PR is trying it's best to give her positive attention in the comments
ThinkerBunny 3y ago
Clearly she's already being held to a different standard thanks in part to society's superficial fixation on women, since ya know, she is being kept on while proven to be an abuser and her victim fired just based on word.
paracog 3y ago
Talking bout inner beauty, but if her nose was 1/4 inch different in any way, there would be some other woman in that photo.
TesticleCanced 3y ago
A lot of the comments are fan accounts... I repeat she has dozens of fan accounts
captainp42 3y ago
"Amber Heard highlights that a woman's inner beauty is what we should value the most"....
Inner beauty.
Inner beauty.
Domestic abuser, compulsive liar.
Inner beauty.
I'm seeing a bit of a disconnect here.
Cardo94 3y ago
To be fair the comments on the post are fucking dabbing on her.
AttachableSheep 3y ago
Welp, another company goes to the "do not buy from them" list I share with my friends and family. Ngl, I am kinda running out of options at this point.
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
Same! They own so many skincare brands, but fuck them. Domestic abuse is very personal to me and I CANNOT stand a company that makes a joke of it.
Mr_FreeSpeech 3y ago
I get call a misogynist or ignorant when I say the feminist movement is shit. Even though I give evidence for my claims, people still refuse to believe. I truely believe that men will become oppresed and still be called the oppresor by the early 2030s. If this keeps up, I'll move to either South America, The Middle East of the South Pacific Isles. It's not the US, but it'll do.
jacksleepshere 3y ago
They appointed her as a spokesperson 2 years ago.
tvwatcherguy 3y ago
This is nothing short of an obvious and very DELIBERATE attack on men! Whoever made this decision purposely spat in the face of every male domestic violence victim!
Pa_rzival 3y ago
wait, he was abused!? what the hell? I never saw any news stories about this, can someone explain what happened?
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
Exactly! That’s the whole problem. The media refuses to cover it, which is why you’ve never heard of it. They covered it when she accused him though. She chopped off part of his finger with a glass bottle and there are screenshots of texts about how he refused to go to a hospital, prolly to avoid getting her in trouble. Also, there’s a recording of her calling him a baby for calling her out on the abuse. His exes have come forth to defend his reputation but Heard has already completely fucked him over.
Wyatt2065 3y ago
This is so fucking horrible. Makes me sick to my damn stomach
[deleted] 3y ago
Fucking gross. Where is her inner beauty? Lol
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
Right? It’s nonexistent.
LokisDawn 3y ago
On Depps bed, but she said it's the dog's.
excess_inquisitivity 3y ago
All over his bedsheets. If you thought she farted rainbows, well, there you go.
Re3ck6le0ss 3y ago
It's nice to see a lot of women in the comments outraged by this
boxsterguy 3y ago
They didn't "just" make her their spokesperson. They did that 2 years ago.
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
I had no idea. So you’re telling me they had even MORE time to drop her. Terrible
boxsterguy 3y ago
Yes, but also it means they're maybe not as terrible, signing a known domestic abuser. Presumably they signed her before all that came to light. Now they should do the right thing and dump her, but we don't know what kind of contracts are in place. They might have to pay her a billion dollars if they cut her contract short. Unlikely, and obviously an exaggeration, but the point being we don't know all the details here. We only know the public side, and that L'Oreal primarily targets women and probably aren't going to suffer huge fallout from male protests. It may be that whatever face they lose publicly by keeping her on is better than whatever they lose by terminating her contract early.
Of course if she were a man who was metooed, she'd be out on her ass before you could blink.
WeedleTheLiar 3y ago
Maybe just don't make posts with her in them, then? Intentionally putting her face on their branding is an extremely tone deaf move.
The_Ruly_Anarchist 3y ago
Most contracts like this have a 'morals' clause that lets the brand drop the 'star' if they might tarnish the brand's reputation by association.
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
You know, you make a VERY good point. Thank you for teaching me something. But yes! Your last point is the most important one. Depp’s career got hurt before the truth came out so she should also suffer consequences. I feel like it’s also silly for companies to NOT build something into the contract like “if you don’t fit our image of you at the time of hire, we will be able to let you go with no further financial compensation.” Something like that.
boxsterguy 3y ago
What you're looking for is a morality clause, and they exist. They're often very specific, though. So for example an actress might have a morality clause that terminates her contract if she gets a DUI or if a sex tape leaks, but probably not if she beats the shit out of her male partner.
Obviously I don't know what L'Oreal's contract with Heard looks like. My speculation that maybe they're not getting rid of her for contractual reasons is just speculation. It's far more likely that they're not getting rid of her because "believe all women" or whatever bullshit. But there are at least plausible reasons that might exist that could prevent them from dropping her.
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
You right you right. Makes a lot of sense.
Orthoff 3y ago
Hey OP, wrong flair
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
AHHH I’m sorry I’m new to this. Can I change it? If so, what to?
Orthoff 3y ago
You ought to be able to edit the post, but no sweat man mistakes happen
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
Oh! I found it. Do I change it to discrimination? I saw a similar topic under that flair.
Orthoff 3y ago
Not sure, sounds like a judgement call
tempest_fiend 3y ago
It makes me somewhat hopeful that the vast majority of the comments on that Instagram post are condemning them for naming her as an ambassador. And almost all of them are women.
McFeely_Smackup 3y ago
If "inner beauty" is what matters most why doesn't Loreal have any conventionally unattractive women spokespersons?
They're literally saying a woman should be taken seriously even if they're beautiful...while simultaneously ignoring every woman who is not beautiful, and somehow still thinking they're taking a stand on superficial values.
You can't get much more tone deaf than this.
sChWaBeNkInG 3y ago
Excuse me what the fuck?
Zevhis 3y ago
Boycott the products.
Florist_Gump 3y ago
Takes some brass balls for a makeup company hiring one of the most (physically) beautiful people on the planet to preach about superficiality. Bravo!
The-Wizard-of-Oz- 3y ago
Amazing. Unfortunate, that we can boycott loreal only partially, since most their products are engineered for women.
R67H 3y ago
Nestle is the parent Corp. Already a shit company; this just adds to it
The-Wizard-of-Oz- 3y ago
I did not know that. Wow.

otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
Me neither! They own a bunch of brands but there are better ones out there
chadbrochillout 3y ago
Her quote is ridiculously ironic considering the pickle she's in
nenjiavero 3y ago
We should start a twitter campaign, let everybody know how we feel against this. Imagine putting OJ or Weinstein as spokesperson for Old Spice!
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
There’s a Change.org petition if you want to sign! I did
nenjiavero 3y ago
Got a link?
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
Pmd you!!
politits 3y ago
They did not just make her a spokesperson. They’ve had a contract with her since 2018 before her crimes were revealed.
https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/loreal-paris-announces-amber-heard-as-new-global-spokesperson-300646845.html
HOWEVER, they have had plenty of time to cancel their partnership with her now that the evidence has come to light that she abused Jonny Depp and they have not done so. But if you take a look at the comments on their Twitter announcement for this campaign, you can tell that the public perception of her and their partnership have definitely changed in favor of cancelling this abuser.

babybopp 3y ago
Damn they are ripping them. Someone fucked up and thought it would be a good idea and spin. They even put boxing gloves in the pic before her. They know what they are doing. And it will backfire badly
mrcarrot213 3y ago
If you see the instagram post, the top comments, which are positive, are mostly from amber heard fan page, and the rest are just ladies boycotting L’oreal. Glad to see people can stay objective in this issue.
ClubZlut 3y ago
Company that markets to women, holds a woman to the standard being fought for by feminism.
Nothing to see here fellas, business as usual.
satan__boiz666 3y ago
Welp, time to throw out my L'Oreal!
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
Don’t waste! You spent your good money on it. Use it up and never buy again
satan__boiz666 3y ago
You're right. Just disgusting they chose her.
mariusalb 3y ago
Actually, i see more makeup than her face
BlondieMonster89 3y ago
Ready To Glare made a video about this, fuck L’Oréal. Completely inappropriate and ignorant. She’s pretty on the outside but my god, she seems to have major issues and a abusive tendencies. A horrible example of a woman. There are countless beautiful faces they could support who are not abusive and malicious.
otherhalfofclyde 3y ago
I love Ready To Glare. Her and Blaire White have very strong perspectives, but they are truly for equality and we love queens who aren’t afraid to stand up for what’s right. I do worry that they’ll eventually be pressured to leave their platforms though.
BlondieMonster89 3y ago
I agree with you completely, they do have very strong opinions and they are not afraid to express them however I do appreciate that they are both able to admit when they were wrong or needed to learn more. And to evolve. I am curious what will happen with the platform, I’m curious if Joe Rogan’s move to Spotify will affect things on a larger scale when it comes to where independent content creators can thrive.

To be fair, Johnny Dep, isn't very masculine so it was probably a one sided cat fight.

Piss out of here with your toxic masculinity. He’s as good as a man gets for not allowing himself to stoop to her level.

The #MeToo movement is about rape and molestation... Johnny Depp is a limp fish incapable of landing a punch, let alone throwing one. I would be surprised if he can even bench press his own weight...
I can't believe this post got me banned from FemaleDatingStrategy but now I see why... this sub is toxic.
