This is interesting, apparently there had been some backlash for a woman, actually a burlesque troupe that jumped on the #MeToo bandwagon and did some some mudslinging in the producer's direction referring to him as a rapist and they even formed a FB group for "Burlesque performers that have been sexually harassed" and crucified him online.

He says he's been falsely accused of rape and is now taking them to court.

He is now suing them for defamation, but NOW they have a Go Fund Me going on to support them for their lawyer fees.

The guy even passed a lie detector test, so it sounds like he may win this. What's kind of sad, I guess, is that anyone in the arts don't have crap for money, so they have to take time off their day jobs to deal with this.

They claim what probably was the catalyst for all of this is that she made-out with him one evening, but did nothing more. That it was completely consensual.

And... she continued to continue some kind of flirty friendship with him by sending him a card with a lipstick signature (typical of a woman in burlesque shows).

I guess this'll be a lesson learned as to who you do the whole #MeToo thing with? So far, they've raised 14,000 bucks.

I have the same stance. Don't care about the stats, because there are so many false rape accusations flying around I consider ALL rape accusations false. People will tell me why I'm wrong. Anybody can pass a lie detector with a few simple, and frankly, very idiotic tricks. I passed a lie detector test by listening to the question. Then if I wanted the answer to be no, I would honestly ask myself in my mind "Am I a woman" and then honestly answer out loud "No". If I wanted to answer the question with a yes, I would ask myself "Am I a man" and answer out loud "Yes". There are variations but you have to ask a question your mind can answer without a doubt. This trick isn't 100% with all people, and the guys at the station were intrigued at how I did it (family member was an officer, I had a bet I could pass it) so I showed them a few other tricks I was taught and everybody that tried could find at least one way to get around it with just a few minutes practice.

Ever since then I don't think our local station bothered with polygraphs anymore. Judges toss out polygraph results anyway so no need to pay the guy to run it and waste the time asking the silly questions.

My GF works in a company with a majority of women and what she tells me is insane. There is this one single mom chick who has taken 38 "sick days" this year and another one who's been on light duty for 6 years straight because she's breastfeeding (how does that justify light duty I don't fucking know) and the majority of the women there are either mothers or expecting so they can't work night shifts or do overtime. When I was in sales, the few women we had were pretty good overall. They were absolutely sharper than your standard office blonde and most where certainly not the most attractive girls around. This is a very blue pill statement. LMR is the equivalent of approach anxiety for women. They haven't figured out the consequences will be in terms of their social and self image if they bang you, so they're hesitant. You just have to back up to a comfortable level of physical and then try again.

I see your point. It makes sense and I have no disagreement, but I operate mostly in terms of LTRs versus One Night Stands (ONS) and random hookups.

I was married a long time, later divorced, and had several LTRs and participated in very few hookups, and currently in a LTR. All parties are always in agreement. I never have this problem.

Prior to the Weinstein Effect some women were already changing their mind after consensual sex and calling it rape. It will be interesting how things shake out with some RP Men adjusting their behavior…perhaps?

One could always try again, but serious LMR and possible fallout may cause men to rethink pushing past a woman's reluctance for sex.

Key for her to not feel raped is how you actually act AFTER sex. I know guy who get laid with very direct and dominant approach, he almost rapes the girls, but they feel great about it because after actual sex he saying them how unique and good they are, how good it was for him and other BS which makes her self-esteem raise. If you want to push past her reluctance you also can do this with words alone and make her actually ask you to fuck her. But this is skill you need to learn with risk of her going away. Still if you get such a skill, then you can forget about this problem all together. The issue I have with the expanded term of rape is that it has lost its actual meaning - forced and violent sexual intercourse with a frightened and UNWILLING person.

I want TRP to remain an echo chamber because this is one of the very few places that exists anywhere that I can actually get this perspective.
