...or is this just a curious case of self-selection.
Anyway, to the meat and potatoes:
Today i have noticed 2 posts here referencing posts from elsewhere on reddit where a woman was being a hamstering hypergamist and people called her out.
Curious case #1 (Orginal TRP post)
Curious case #2 (Orginal TRP post)
is the collective unconscious waking up or is this just a black swan sighting?

There appear to be rumblings in the MSM that something isn't right, but I don't think society at large is ready to recognize the true costs or causes.
Instead, we get shit like this:
End of men
Rise of women
Where have all the good men gone
The MSM can't put the dots together. These are all symptoms of men opting out of the 'traditional life path'. Society is shoe-horning women into male roles and castigating male sexuality. Then the MSM goes ahead and wonders why men aren't responding positively.
There was an article in the MSM recently about men not responding to economic signals - in which the author ignored the possibility that men are responding to economic signals and opting out, which is what's happening. That's surprising, since economists are supposed to be the only rational actors in our society.
Moreover, people who do try to espouse red pill views are hammered by the rest of the blue pill world. Laurence Summers comes to mind - fired for merely SUGGESTING that maybe men and women think differently. (Personally, this infuriates me to no end. Feminists love to go on and on about evolution and atheism - but then parrot the fact that 'gender is a social construct'. Christ! Men and women differ in their 23rd chromosome - so their sex is genetically distinct!!)
No, the MSM will view these problems in terms it's audience can understand, that is, blue pill realities.
I think there will need to be some dramatic shift before the red pill becomes mainstream.

I assume that you're referring to Rebecca Watson, the atheist feminist, who ruined the atheist movement by shoving feminism into it.
Yeah, she recently gave a talk on evolutionary psychology that was universally panned. Actual evolutionary psychologists came out and ripped her apart.
It's just bizarre that the effects of testosterone and estrogen on human behavior is a scientifically recognized fact that is beyond dispute.

I'm trying to raise the volume on this discussion with a book I released,
http://cityofsingl.es
However, it's fucking next to impossible to market a book. I sell porn on the internet as my day business and porn outsells the book 900 to 1!

Know your market.
[deleted] 11y ago
My market will be people stuck between blue and red pill. As more people of blue pill mentality become aware of the red pill mentality, the purple pills will become more curious about a novel like mine, I think.

Insert porn into your book. Problem solved! j/k
Marketability is about exposure. Purchase ad space on google, for example. Buy a reddit sponsored banner.
[deleted] 11y ago
I paid $100 for the Reddit banner, made $0
I'm honestly so fucking depressed that shit like this:
http://www.mr-uploads.com/video/7866/intense-deep-mouth-fucking-of-slut-who-can-barely-breathe-from-dick-attack
Vastly, vastly, FAR AND AWAY outsells my novel. ALSO, I have a huge market for porn because people are easy to sell porn to.
Selling a novel as a self-published author is extremely difficult so far. My second book is a sci-fi novel that I'm developing a comic book and 4 EDM tracks to go along with it.
When you're not famous and trying to tell a story, my experience thus far is that people just can't wait to tell you to fuck off or that your shit sucks without even reading it. If Sasha Grey launched my exact novel and promoted it here with an AMA she'd sell hundreds the first day from Reddit alone.

Hmm. Well the online market is definitely saturated with authors such as yourself since it's a lot easier to get your product out there than the old-school bookshelf way (publishers, etc sticking their finger in the pie but at least they do the heavy lifting of getting your book sold).
The trick, just like PUA's always say, is to stick out of the crowd somehow. Yep, if Sasha Grey slapped her name on a book she probably didn't even write, it would outsell simply because of name recognition.
You can go the route that my roommate's wife is going. She basically shat out a romance novel in two months and turned it over to a publishing company. She allowed anything and everything to be changed by editors and shit. If an editor calls asking to make a change she gets annoyed. "Yes, do whatever the hell you want. Just get it published." THe goal was to get published. Get her name out there.
Have you tried something similar?
[deleted] 11y ago
Well, I have 2 sex tapes I made and I live in an asylum, I'm thinking of ways to whore out my persona, but I think summer needs to arrive in Vancouver first. I get the most depressed in our shitty, cold spring, and I don't have much desire to socialize or market myself.
Two months! What's the novel? Did you see the book trailer I made? Cost me $1500 and we got it produced from start to finish in 5 days.

mainstream would be TV, hollywood and your everyday life...
da-way 11y ago
well, we gotta start somewhere. mainstream reddit seems like an ideal place :)

Mainstream Reddit is the longest shot we could ever aim for. You can see it clearly when RP ideas get downvoted to oblivion in every subreddit save for this one.
This is a website filled with men obsessing over pictures of cats.
A special kind of beta brews here.

One can only hope. It looks like people aren't standing up to girls fucking around at the very least.

Honestly I think these are just "black swans" as you put it. If the first poster had omitted the 2.5 kids and family and supporting me part, I doubt she would have received that kind of backlash.
The boyfriend wanting 2.5 kids and a plan and supporting her are all "Nice Guy" things. So here, on Reddit, where people still need to be PC even though they're anonymous, the NG gets rewarded for being a NG, and everyone takes his side. The societal hivemind takes over. But on TRP, none of the commenters are surprised by her actions and shouldn't be. If we say that a woman wants an alpha guy, then we can't be surprised when she drops a beta. We're not really saying "fuck you you're a horrible person" to the woman, we're saying "yup. of course she did."
The woman did exactly what TRP predicts she would do. The comments on there reflect a very blue pill pov.
