First off. I'm not trying to spawn tons of new threads about TRP potentially going down. Just sharing some things I've thought of in the past few weeks.
I've been thinking on the idea of what constitutes free speech on Reddit for the past few weeks and I've come to the conclusion that they cannot ban us in our current form by criteria the already have set up.
The only criteria is this
- We will ban subreddits that allow their communities to use the subreddit as a platform to harass individuals when moderators don’t take action. We’re banning behavior, not ideas.
Now what does harassment mean on Reddit?
Harassment on Reddit is defined as systematic and/or continued actions to torment or demean someone in a way that would make a reasonable person conclude that reddit is not a safe platform to express their ideas or participate in the conversation, or fear for their safety or the safety of those around them.
This brings us some worrisome logical conclusions because of what happened to fatpeoplehate. They were supposedly taken down because of people from the subreddit were taking their attitudes to other subs, but I've read that nowhere did FPH promote this and it was the actions of random dudes.
But what happens if people truly wanted us down? People might make fate accounts and do some harassing claiming they're from TRP and it could work. I'd hope that Reddit admins would look at see that they haven't posted, or when they did post they were downvoted because when they posted they didn't understand enough about red pill ideology to fake it.
So basically subreddits that leave up threads promoting actively going around and being cunts to people on Reddit can be banned.
But could we be quarantined?
Again I don't think so, because Reddit doing so would be a scary precedent for other subs that don't align with Reddit's demographics.
A community will be Quarantined on Reddit when we deem its content to be extremely offensive or upsetting to the average redditor. The purpose of quarantining a community is to prevent its content from being accidentally viewed by those who do not wish to do so.
So what's the most upsetting thing to the average redditor currently? My money is on talking about Trump.
Some of you know or have at least seen what happens when someone mentions something not negative toward Trump. It doesn't even have to be positive. People will shit themselves and foam at the mouth with rage.
If we were to be quarantined because we were upsetting to the average redditor then what would happen to reddit if it became even more politically left leaning and the trend continued of people getting more upset about any ideas that don't line up with their worldview?
They could ban most conservative subreddits and keep them down.
Now I assume that there would be a metric ton of backlash from the people who can actually think, so reddit wouldn't even try.
Also lets talk about Alts for a minute.
I had seen posts from big TRP users about being doxxed and the importance of a TRP specific account, but I thought it would only be a problem with prominent members.
Nope.
I had a friend get insanely pissed off with me one night because he stalked my reddit account since I've been using this same online handle since RuneScape back in 2005.
It could've become a real ordeal if he wanted to.
"I was really close to telling other people, but I knew it'd be wrong."
It's just something else to think about. Even if your reddit activity isn't dominated by TRP; people you know could still access it and potentially fuck your shit up.

OP, you seem to be under the illusion that SJWs follow guidelines and have some interest in free speech.
Personally, I believe that our sub is kept as a form of containment to prevent us from injecting RP thoughts into other places where they may gain more traction with the general reddit populace.
Not the most fleshed out thought, but one that seems to make sense. That being said, keep in mind that SJWs are not the most strategic sorts.
Reddit can absolutely ban us. These are not our servers. There would be no "bring the red pill back" campaign.

I agree that a "campaign" against TRP is a bit beyond the ability of the narcissists that populate most of this Soros funded website. Forethought and clever planning are not these people's strog suits, they're too emotional.
I suspect the Cultural Maosists are upset that the truths spread by TRP disrupt their "perpetual revolution" by showing them what they really are; full of hot air.

Oh I know they don't give a fuck.
I just don't think they're willing to make the changes required to get rid of us scot-free.
They'd have to make the current rules so vague or broad that it'd cause some hella backlash from the community
MattyAnon Admin 7y ago
No.
They don't follow the rules. They use the rules to achieve what they want. The rules are changed and bent to accommodate their objectives. And they can always add new ones.
We are very close to being classified as a hate group, and they'll hold up a few extreme posts to prove it (of course this will never happen to twox even though much of it is much worse than here).

They're still AMATEURS at those techniques compared to the East German Stasi. And the Stasi couldn't keep the Berlin Wall from being torn down.
If you believe that the Sun moves around the Earth, you will eventually make enough wrong predictions, and gamble on wrong propositions..... that you get arbitraged against.
The SJWs hold WRONG INFORMATION. Therefore, at the end of the day, we WILL be able to run circles around them.
So what if Sanders gets elected? We are MUCH BETTER SITUATED to predict his actual moves, then his loyalists are.
That's when we will win the game.
MattyAnon Admin 7y ago
By your logic we should have won already.
killking72 7y ago
That's why I said under the current rules I don't think they can get rid of us.
And if they did change the rules of what's acceptable then that's our sign we're on our way out.

The new "trp.red" being up there in the banner helps us. If and when they pull the plug, everyone will remember the new website.

I think the idea with the appearance change recently was to align TRP.RED with the existing reddit site so that when (if) the shutdown occurs the transition will be seamless.
Having the same general format on both systems in parallel is a wise move.

1, who cares if this sub gets shut down or quarantinted? Trp.red was set up as an alternative.
2, definitely use an alt for TRP-related redditing. Do a little bit of reading about how easy it is to doxx someone and you will take the necessary precautions to preotect yourself.

I plan to do a writeup on this later, but I don't think this sub will be banned. However given the content of some of the more popular posts, there is the potential for it to transition from red pill to purple pill.
An unusual perspective, but I do wonder if anyone else thinks similarly.
[deleted] 7y ago
How do you see this sub becoming more purple? I've migrated back over this way from MRP because that sub is becoming more purple.
JohnnyHammerstickz 7y ago
If it keeps getting any more purple (I.e. more and more motherfucking blueness that is the exact opposite of RP) or invaded by any more women that think they're RP because they are oh-so-special snowflakes that "understand" us, I am going to join the exodus of real RED members away from this quickly sinking ship.
[deleted] 7y ago
Is there a place where real RED members are congregating, outside of here?
Brewjo 7y ago
I've got an alt for some porn subs but I've been called out a couple of times as brewjo (primary school library user name from 1995) for "being a redpill subscriber" or giving a comment that "seems a little too redpill". Lucky I've only been called a miso-soup-anist once so far.

Nice friends you have. When I told mine I'm browsing TRP and I can find many truths about life in general, they were "nah bro, but let's listen about it".
If that were the case, reddit itself might get more leftist and start some censorship campaign. We'd have to find another place, perhaps self-hosted, to post. While I love idea of reddit, forums are a thing when it comes to privacy and freedom from rules coming from the top.

You REALLY think Stalin was a leftist and not a tyrant using Lenin's socialist propaganda as a way to gain complete control over USSR? That guy wasn't shaming capitalists into submission, he ruled with iron fist, fear and ruthlessness.
He could simply erase people he didn't like (like Nikolaj Jezow, head of his killing machine, when that guy got too good at his job, he "disappeared", he was even removed from official photographs).
Although I get that it's a joke... still, I don't think Stalin was leftist. He was a monster.

That's the backup if we ever get bumped off Reddit.
